How can this design be improved?

i feel like the logo should be smaller, the front of the box has some spacing issues. the entire box could use some more space even, it's very wordy. the logo kinda clashes with the overall feel of the rest of the box, mostly because of the fonts, but i don't hate it
>>279992
Thank for your input man, appreciate it.
I'm working on the pattern so its blank at the minute but do you think this looks a bit better spacing wise? You also think I should try a different font?
>>279992
Better/Worse spacing wise?

"furniture restoration company" Sweet! I suggest a 2D vector of hammer and screw i mean thats what i will do at the first thought
How Do I do this Tracer Effect in the eyes In After Effects?
I've looked it up and I all I'm getting is sexy pics of the Overwatch Character.

Key-frame it. There isn't really a magic button for this one. I'm no expert in AE, so I can't tell you the specifics, but it would be like any other key-frame animation and would likely require either a great deal of time or artistic talent / experience in animation.
Add is a feget
The tail lights in initial d do this as well, might help you search up the effect.

But all the sites are so shady nowadays
I like to make these with ms paint and edit them a bit in gimp.
let me know what you think.
i've been looking for this fucker for like 3 months now and nothing has come close to the lowercase letters. VCR OSD Mono matches the uppercase letters pretty well, but its lowercase letters are garbage. Modenine kind of matches but not really. i've asked this question on like ten fucking font sites and no one answered. this is my last hope.

I'm curious to see the project you're working on. EAS notifications and warnings are something thats piqued my interest for a while now, I'd be happy to lend my knowledge on trivial aspects such as letter designations for Pep stations.
What's the proper name for these?
I found them by googling "sisters of battle symbol"

1.>What is this?
2.There's a tournament called the 4CC (Four Chan Cup, other variations of the name are spamfiltered so watch out), which has AI versions of each 4chan board compete in simulated football (soccer) matches. The teams themselves are representations of each individual board's culture. /gd/ is one of the teams competing in it.
3.
4./gd/ is one of the boards renown for having a small, but loyal following. We already have a few posters over at the /vg/ thread, however we always try to keep the actual board informed and involved, as well as alert any new people to the concept of the cup, cause it's just fun times and they might like it.
5.
6.>I'm not interested / fuck off with this thread / this isn't /gd/ / etc
7.If you're not interested, that's perfectly fine. The cup itself isn't a real e-sports event and is just something done between friends that people can be a part of. Threads on /gd/ related to the cup will always be called "#333 thread" in that exact spelling fashion, so just add that to your spam filter and they'll never show up again.
8.
9.>I'm interested

14./gd/ finish Winter with their heads held high, finishing at 6th place, an all time top for the team.
15.The Summer Cup begins Friday 5th August, with /gd/'s first match on the Saturday, looking to impress the viewers and fans once again.

What the fuck happened to the OP
Anyway, you can keep track of when we play with the timer on top of our wiki page:

You can also find our current roster and other stuff about the team on that page

We're up in 2 hours, be sure to tune in!
What's a good gift for a Graphic Designer's birthday? I want to get something nice but not over $10 to $15? I don't want to get something expensive or fancy because it's a coworker / friend and its not expected.

A proper one though, not a shitty notebook.

how do I get this distressed/paper look on my poster like pic related? on illustrator
>>278245
>what is grain/halftone textures
>>278245
This one doesn't look distressed as much as a scan with part of the image in the back showing. You can print something then scan the back of the page and use it as your background. The best way to make something look like something is to do what they did.

i feel like the best results i had was rescanning

what is this?
It's a retarded question but would I just have to use photoshop or gimp to make something as simple as this
You could even use paint for this.
It's just white text on a black background.

can you help me identify this font?
I know this is generally not appreciated.
I was in Zürich recently, their national museum uses a nice font. Local staff couldn't help me of course, and I couldn't find it online.

Hello /gd/,
I'm currently applying for jobs as a Graphic Designer, but get a lot of rejections with the tenor "Nice Portfolio, but we hired someone with more Web Experience." despite having HTML and CSS knowledge.
To level that out i wanted to learn more Web Design to make Work for my portfolio. So i took on a small real project from a Guy in my Social Circle. He wants a small responsive onepager site for a small sidebusiness he is opening.
So I did a design in illustrator, learned some responsive webdesign, bootstrap, some jquery and built a working prototype. The Client was happy with the Design.
The Problem with Project is that he stalls it since months: We agreed that he will deliver text content and he said wants the site running on a personal server. I know he is very busy, but he always laments how less time he has.
He is not willing to stick to agreements nor to do any steps towards finishing the project (and paying me upon delivery). When he briefed me he agreed that he would deliver text content and webspace. I offered to get a freelance writer i know on the project, to get that burden off him ("no, got no money for that") and i offered to walk him through the buying and setup of the server ("Got no Time").
The money loss wouldn't be a problem, but I need this project for my portfolio and applications.
/gd/, what can i do to finish the project ? How do i make him clear that i need him to get me that content and to get that server? I know he's busy and it's not the highest priority for him, but shouldn't you stick to your promises?

At one point he's gotta cooperate. Don't waste too much time on it.
If he doesn't cooperate, just make the website as you would've made it, maybe change or leave out the business name, and use that for your portfolio.
