After effects plugin programmer here
whats a plugin idea you want to make?
I have some pixel-art ones stockpiled already that i want to release on itch.io but I plan to make some other ones.
Gonna make a pixel sorting one and some 3d-rendering-pipeline stuff.

>>275651
very interested in your last two plugins.
what i would love to see is i.e. a plugin for halftone patterns.
>>275683
I specifically made that already

another gif of it

working on the pixel sorting one now
the plugin is going to be free but realistically if I asked for "tips" or have a "name your price" option how likely is the typical person going to pay and about how much do you think.
For all plugins being given at once not just the sort.

This will be my landing page for everything. It's all open source.

Working on pixel sorting now
Here's the current latest build of everything I have(no pixel sort plugin included)
https://my.mixtape.moe/tiskeb.zip
Email address is in the plugin's "about" section or you can contact me on github. Would love to see samples of the plugin being used and input/requests.
This is really beseeching of me but just for anyone else that runs by this I'd appreciate any tips made to developing these plugins.

paypal email is the same as the about-email for anyone else in the world.

Just wanted to mention the plugins are built with the adobe sdk for After Effects CC 2015.0

Got different sorting biases to work. Now to just get it to do some interval ins and outs rather than sorting entire rows and other peripheral stuff
>>276058
I love the fact that you are working on this, but you are aware that bumping /gd/ is senseless right?
right?
>obvious sage
>>276068
just posted "v" along the post as to not break the combo
I'll look for the next after effects thread though
>>276069
with the way im setting it up now it might be able to take in "any" pattern.
by that i mean each interval that it takes doesnt have to be a straight horizontal or vertical line but it can be a zig-zig pattern or sine wave or Hilbert curve pattern being "sorted" from every pixel
We sort now
ded thread
Was thinking of using matrices but it turns out vector fields are a much much much much easier solution to getting very cool sort patterns.
For the plugin I'll have there be two "operand" points to use for certain built-in shapes(linear, sphere, spiral, wave) by using their two positions or length or whatever and also having the option of letting the user pass in their own generated flow-map(a type of image used in a lot of shaders and such) as an option.
Who up
>>276129
What does it look like if you use some edge detection filter for the mask?
>>276130
you can threshold hue and saturation or red or alpha and a bunch of other things can be used as the threshold mask. Might make it so the user can plug one in of their own
>>276121
cool fuckin beans
>>276139
trying to find a sandboxed way to traverse these. If I have a circular flow-map I'm trying to figure out a proper way to iterate through it to find a good "starting point" for an individual thread to iterate through
>>276129
awesome can you share it ?
>>276148
sooon Implementing the vector pattern stuff.
probably the hardest part of this whole thing
Vector Field stuff is going VERY good
>>276177
i am very excited for it. gonna have some typographic experiments with it.
Release soon
Won't have the super fancy stuff since that has a lot of work to be done but it will support angles with increments of 45 while i clean stuff up
>>276202
>Release soon
fuck yeah!
I'm excited to play with this and if it's as good as it seems, you can count with my donation to keep you doing awesome stuff anon

I'll pass around a few freebies for feedback and more testing and such.

I'd be happy to give feedback on freebies!

I'm not against you charging for the plugin

The thing is, I really hate paywalling to. Money doesn't motivate me but lately it has been getting harder and harder to afford to do free work(gonna try and avoid that sappy story). I've been doing the "tip" format for quite sometime with absolutely 0 avail. I programmed plugins that people wanted and made tutorials and lots of other "charity" work and when the time came that I beseech myself and ask for something in return people just take the download link and go but when Pixel Sorting came up people were telling me left and right "you can make good money off of this" "how much are you gonna charge?" etc and the topic was in the atmosphere the entire time I was programming this. When the moment finally came, rather than doing PWYW with $0 minimum I remembered the recent of the many other attempts I did that and how I literally made $0 for my time and efforts yet again while being taken for granted( >>275729 ) so I did $15 for the current state of the plugin with an "opening week" deal because I'm still much to humble to paywall too hard. I hate seeing myself do this kind of stuff honestly. I'm not one to militantly protect my "product"(already hate saying it).I've cracked and reverse engineered plenty of software myself(see ElDorito) and didn't care to protect this software. One person could just buy it and post the link right in this thread for all I care but at least this way with the itch.io page I can -try- to get a little something for my time and efforts, for once.
I'll tell you what. If you reach out to me(not-anonymously) on itch or twitter or whatever other contact method I've exposed already I can toss a few freebies here and there if you can help provide feedback and promote it in some way.
Once I've surpassed this build with the other big features I have planned for it I'll give it out for free and have the newest iteration be the only thing that has to be paid for(people that already bought get all the updates free forever).
>>276230
there is already a similar more pupular plugin on the market for quite a qhile now called AE Pixel Sorter.
>>276236
for 40$ with less features and a MIA developer

It's ok anon, you should make some money out of it. I was drunk when I posted that yesterday.
>>276236
Thanks
>>276230
Where can I get updates and such for this? Like a twitter or something?
>>276324
got my twitter on the itch.io profile page yea

Good job Anon ! i just bought it
>>276574
Thank you! I just got some work done on implementing vector-field tests for the next version
Thanks for following the dev guys.
Vector field sorting getting implemented soon
Anyone that already bought it will get the update free btw.

Some links are broken, could someone be kind enough to re upload Sapphire?
Anyone have anything from digieffect to share? Much appreciated
>>278194
i made that pastebin but i didn't make the original upload. did you tried searching for it on the web?
>>278195
you can digidamage fairly easily elsewhere it has a few different effects within one plugin but i didn't like it that much.
Motion 2 plugin from Mt. mograph is of the best buys for after effects. Never even look at your graph editor plus tons of time savers!
if you can post a trial version of the plugin(the .aex file) I can reverse engineer it and crack it for you
windows only
Just released a new FREE one

Just did a fresh install of Windows on my PC. Should I just use my old Adobe Photoshop CS6, or are there any new tools of the trade that are worth upgrading for?
Is there some cool plugin to do mirror effects easily ? like the mirrorgram app ?
>>279216
you don't need a plugin for that.
