So this week I finally decided that after getting my wage this thursday I'm gonna hit the gym and buy a ticket for the first time in my life. I'm ashamed as fuck because of my body and I developed pretty bad complexes because of it over the past couple of years.

To get you some overview I'm 192cm skeleton that weighs a little over 80kg. I know practically nothing abot working out, I worked on me last year when I had a gf, I just did some squats, push ups and situps. After three months of this I could see some results and it was keep getting better but then we broke up and I lost motivation.

Mainly I'd want to focus on my back muscles, pecs and legs. Also how important is accurate diet, I'm not sure if I can handle it financially. My plan is to go to gym three times a week, what work out plan would be the best for me?

Yeah I know there is sticky, but I would be grateful if someone could give me some human tips on here.

What kind of a fucking retard do you think I am? The biggest thing from a fast food I ever had was mac's cheeseburger. I just don't know of any fitness diet routine. I cook whole foods for myself but I don't know how suitable they are for the diet. Meat sauces for pasta, rice with beans, plain rice, eggs, I drink a lot of milk - stopped drinking soda years ago, schnitzels...I guess I'm alright then, only problem is that I eat randomly during the day and got scared out of all those fitfags carrying their veggie chicken everywhere they go.

How do you find the modivation to go to the gym?

How do you suppress the anxiety of being in such a place, especially as someone just starting out. Surrounded by Gym rats, cardio cunts and 16 year olds?

I have wanted to get /fit/ for little over a year now but can't seem to get over my anxiety's, in turn killing my motivation..

Should I start out with personal trainer? Maybe then I will get into a rhythm..

I live with anxiety, when I first started going I used to harass the instructors into staying near me or training me. It was a small community gym so it worked out ok. Anyway, over time I have become so used to it, its like a second home to me now.

Keep going, keep getting more confident in what you are doing, if someone tells you something is wrong they are only helping.

I think I prefer cuddling and stuff over actual sex (and yes, I am a guy). Now that I'm sort-of /fit/, I find it really easy to score hookups, which is nice I guess. Obviously to get cuddling w/ hookups though I have to have sex first, almost as a chore if that makes sense. I just don't really have a sex drive, although I really enjoy other forms of physical intimacy.

Is this going to be unhealthy for me mentally do you think?

So I've been doing SS for about 2 years off and on. Got serious about it this spring/ summer for about 2 months and made good progress, increasing my lifts by about 15%. Then I hit a plateau. I was eating plenty, lots of protein, adequate rest etc but just couldn't make any more progress on anything. I would deload and hit my plateau again.

I took about 9 days off and came back at it but was about 10% down, and spent the next month getting back to where I was. Plateau again, same numbers as last time. I deloaded 10% again and got stuck at this lower plateau. Sonofabitch.

So that's where I am now. Oh and I should mention I've even been using .5lb plates so I can increase my lifts by tiny amounts but even 1lb more on the bar would make me fail my last set. Wondering if I should switch programs. Maybe Texas Method?

Definitely help. My situation was very bad because my parents were too cheap so I could only get them when I was 24 with my own money. Waiting so long had its toll though and it cost me about $6000 but boy the feeling of finally being able to smile and talk without worrying of creeping people out is worth it.
