Is the primal blueprint and other paleo style diets nonsense? Should I just count my macros to achieve my fitness goals? If macros is the way to go, should I go to a nutritionist or just find my macronutrients myself using the body recomposition link in the sticky?

When did you stop growing /fit/?

Just turned 22 and measured myself at 5'10. I was 5'9 a year ago I swear. I've taken into account that everyone is taller when they first wake up.

I kinda wish I started weightlifting back then but oh well.

Will taking steroids have more lasting effects for me than lifting for an hour 3 times a week (i'm lazy and busy)? What about lifting 6 hours a week? 10? Can taking steroids make lifting obsolete or to the point where I would only need 3 hours of lifting to see the same gains as someone who lifts 15 hours a week?

Calves are not a measure of how often someone works legs. Calves do not grow in the gym. I cringe when I see people doing calf raises like itll do anything at all for their size.

I hear a lot of talk about chicken breasts, peanut butter, and brown rice, but I don't see a lot of people mentioning this staple food. It's convenient, delicious, and cheap. I like to eat mine right out of the can with a squirt of sriracha. It's my "solid food" alternative to a protein shake when I don't feel like drinking whey (basically, 1 can = 1 scoop). How many cans do you eat per week, /fit/?

Got it back when I was 17, used to drool all over my bed because it was eiter that or swallow the spit and feel like I was swallowing shrapnel. Eventually my parents checked me in to a hospital, was so weak at that point I couldn't walk for shit. The only time I've ever been in a wheel chair, Lost 22 pounds. Would literally rather kill myself than go through that shit again.

I had mono 3 or 4 times when I was a kid. Always started out thinking it was just a sore throat, until the test results came back. Never got hospitalized or wheelchair-bound over it, though... It sucks, but you'll make it.

How often do you train neck? I've started doing bodyweight anterior neck curls with my head laying off my bed for 3x50 reps, and wrestler bridges for 3x8 reps, holding the last rep. Whats the optimal frequency for this? How do I achieve Neck of Peace?

I only really hit neck with deadlifts and farmers walks. I have a pretty big neck, people notice it often.

Deadlift is currently at 210kg x5

It might help you sleep better (it worked for me), but it's very expensive if you buy anything labelled ZMA for licencing reasons - it's a lot cheaper to supplement Zinc, Magnesium and B6 separately or in a generic multi. Better yet, look to your diet and just supplement the bit you're missing.

Alright /fit/ I don't usually come on this board but I'm really sick of this. I'm 20 and I'm chubby. I have diabetes (type one, im not obese) and I'm a bit overweight and I'm trying to lose it. It's mostly in my stomach and love handles. I've been reading about stuff that will subtly help me lose weight. I'm eating less shit, and doing sit ups when I can. What is your opinion on the fastest possible way to lose weight for a college student? I need methods that will help me lose weight over gaining muscle. Help me please.

it looks like you're generally not holding your core tight. i'd guess that you're not doing the valsavla maneuver during the lift. look that up.

your weight is visibly shifting to your toes during the lift, this is partially because you're looking straight forward. you're supposed to look down a few feet in front of you. also focus on keeping your weight over your midfoot.

also get a pair of chucks or actual lifting shoes. the shoes you're currently squatting in contributes to your balance problems.
