Does it look like I have PE? (Pectus Excavatum). Or does it just look like that because I'm skinny? I've started lifting a bit, mostly body weight and getting core strength down, but as my chest is developing I feel like this is getting a little more noticeable. Is it just because my pecs are far underdeveloped or am I just being paranoid? I feel like I have it but in a mild form.

And please don't tell me to eat, I already know what to do, it's just going to take some time.

Is dieting based on healthy food important or is it more important just to watch calories?

I'm a 5'7 manlet, just turned 18 a month ago, used to be 190ish pounds at the end of summer, started counting calories with and app and am down to 1700 a day, now 175 pounds, I've lifted for a year or so though so I have some muscles.


I was wondering if it is ok to keep on just counting calories and working out 3+ times a week, or if I should also watch nutrition also.

Yeah. My mom does a little too much. If I don't eat like a starving African child whenever I go over she gets self conscious and starts dieting. She's already at a normal weight so it's not really a good thing that I'm fucking her head up like that. My dad started me lifting when I was a wee lad, and my sister is a sports addict. I've got uncles and cousins that lift too. My grandfather was a WWII vet who used to run me into the dirt when I was a kid and got me into soccer. Etc...

Both sides of my family are p fit. I've got one fat uncle and two fat aunts and one of my cousins is a socially awkward skeleton. Only ever got one snide remark in my life, of course from a fat aunt. And got a couple of roid implication comments over the years. Other than that no friction at all.

I do it becasue I'm weak as fuck.

Ohp hit a plateau at 45kg so I deloaded and carried on, but bench squat and dead are now getting harder too.

If you've been lifting for more than a year, you'll plateau more often from what I gather, and youll need more rest between hitting the same lifts due to the high load.

Buy hey. I don't even lift, so what do I know.

Yes. Eat a lot, sleep well and it is entirely possible. Your nervous system will not be able to keep up anymore after a while, but at least for some time it is very possible.

You nees time to adapt. I'm naturally skinny and have always been 11-12% than started lifting and bulked up to 16% which felt 'unhealthy' to me. Of course its partially genetics but more importantly what you are used to. This all broscience bro so idk but that's my personal experience.
