HELP me fit
There's phlegm constantly flowing out of my throat. This is destroying my life as it overflows into my mouth and I am forced to spit it out every fifteen minutes. If I can't find a bathroom or something I can't even open my mouth to speak.
This first started when I got sick a year ago, then it faded away after a week or so. Now two months ago I got sick again, and the same shit happened, but it didn't go away even though I felt completely recovered from my illness a long time ago!

High protein, low cal, low fat, rest in carbs.
Use chicken breast, tilapia, protein powder for protein. Eggs, almonds for fat. Whatever else for carbs. Eat fruits and veggies too.

When should you rest?
I feel guilty for skipping workouts, but I have a minor cold right now and am honestly just exhausted. Is this when I should rest, or should I stop being a pussy and go put in my reps?

This really needs to be in the sticky.
Consider this:
1) If it's not below your neck then THEORETICALLY you can go work out.
2) If you do work out when sick, you will DELAY getting over the bug -- or make it worse. Anaerobic activity (like LIFTING) temporarily weakens you immune system. Does that sound like a good idea when you're sick?
3) If you get sicker, you won't be able to train at all. Does that sound like a good plan for your gains?
4) You go to the gym sick? You spread your sickness to everyone and everything you come in contact with. Do you want to be that guy?
5) Be rational about this: Missing 1 or 2 workout sessions because you're sick is NOT going to 'make you lose all your gains'.
Your best, most rational, intelligent plan: Stay home. Rest. EAT; your immune system needs fuel to fight off infections. SLEEP; your immune system needs all the energy it can get, and you need to SLEEP to do that. Drink lots of fluids (avoid sugars, alcohol, and caffeine, they all suppress your immune system) so your body can flush out dead cells and stay hydrated. You'll be over whatever it is in a few days, a week at most, and then you'll be all charged back up and ready to get back to work.

I had something similar, and didn't went to my doctor because of the same stupid reason. In my case, itched a little, was red and sore, I can't remember the name of what I had, but it was a fungus who is more common on women, I bought an anti fungal vaginal cream and started applying, shit was completely gone after 3 weeks of constant use.
Look to see if you have the same shit as me, but in all honesty, go see a doctor. I didn't because the cream appeared to be harmless, going to the doctor was plan b.
