Ok so lately ill be standing around when suddenly my back starts to have immense pain. My upper spine, and surrounding muscles feel like they have glass in them. It doesn't hurt to breathe but breathing becomes hard. Probably from pain or stress. It goes away when I workout but comes back after about a day. Has anyone experienced anything like this? Any remedies?
No I have not experienced that in my lifetime. Does it happen when you are idling / not consciously exerting energy? I would stop working out immediately and consult with a doctor. That's not normal.

So, I do one hour of back-bi/ chest-tri/ leg-misc, depending on the day, and then do 1 hour of stationary cycling. Usually I set the resistance to where I am using 600 calories (according to the bike that is) at 90 RPM after 1 hour. On the leg day, I drop the resistance level a bit and end up with 500 calories spent, same time.
Been doing this for a month, lost maybe half an inch on stomach circumference and a 2-3 pounds on the scale...
Any bro science opinions on how I could improve?

Figure out your TDEE, eat less than that.
You're sacrificing muscle by doing medium intensity cardio like that for long periods of time. Are you cutting your calories too? That should be your primary cutting "technique", not hour-long stationary bike sessions.
I think im actually making it guys. Been making some serious gainz this year ive been lifting and ive had sex the last 4-5 weekends. Pre-lift i had sex maybe 2 times a year. Hate that i didn't start lifting sooner, my college days are over in just some weeks.

Hello /fit/zens.
A year ago I came here when I had no friends, no ambitions, no gf, and in a bad overall physical and mental state.
Where's life gone too since then? I've found a gf who's really caring and treats me great. She's a nursing student, and I'm just starting comp sci this year, after fucking around in college for 4 years, all of which I fucked up.
I still don't have any friends, other than my family. I'm ok with that, and I've become content with myself. It's not bad, I read and do other things to fill social time not spent with my gf. Sex is nice, but not everything. Finding a meaningful relationship is really nice. It's nice to know someone cares about you.
I'm not chasing any specific body building goals, just progressively overloading and adding mass slowly. I'm 5'10, and my goal is to hit 170 at 10%. Probably 2-3 years away from that. Lifts are 1/2/2/ for reps, I don't diddly. I though I could do 2.5pl8 squats, I couldn't. My form was shit.
I'm in a bad mental place again, I'm feeling like shit again, and I don't know if I'll get through it this time. I don't know if I have the mental fortitude for it. I'm still gonna give it a try and do my best.

I've only been using machines, is that bad? I don't know anyone at the gym who lifts, so I've been too scared to try free weights.
