The absolute basics would be a good cage, a bench and a barbell plus 3 or 400lb of plates. Plus some mats if you're going to be lifting direct on concrete (horse stall mats are basically what gyms use, but without the jacked up price tag).

After that you'd consider investing in some DBs (you can get handles that take oly plates, but they can be a bit cumbersome for small stuff) and see what else grabs your fancy. There's a lot of stuff that's useful but not remotely necessary beyond that.

Got the education I wanted, got the job I wanted, got the body and /fit/ lifestyle I wanted. Kept my resolution from two years ago to be outgoing and meet new people, but 99% of people suck so I've made zero decent friends and met zero decent women. I'm getting so tired of life, and striving to fulfill personal goals no longer gives me purpose. I've run out of significant changes to make and feel like I have nothing to show for the changes I have made, so now I'm just coasting through life, burned out and unfulfilled.

So how's everyone else's New Years going?

Dumbbell chest press 4x5
dumbbell shoulder press 3x5
lateral raise 3x5

dumbbell skullcrusher neutral grip thing 3x5

Pull:
machine row thing (pic): 3x5
same machine but neutral grip (like in the pic): 3x5

I only have around 45 minutes to an hour to workout per day.

just off the bat, you should be doing lateral raises in reps of 5, you are going to kill your shoulders. lateral raises are best kept in the 12+ range for optimal hypertrophy and safety

i'd say in general to more 3x8-12 with lower rest times rather than 3x5, you're clearly training for hypertrophy instead of strength so i don't know why you'd be doing strength-focused rep ranges

if you can handle it, the Saitama workout is much more effective than the workouts parroted here. The faggots on /fit/ can't handle the volume. When I was able to do the full Saitama workout with no rests I became notably shredded. /fit/ can't do more than 5 reps without resting, but they focus on heavy lifting which gives these guys that ugly bloated look with fake muscles.
