What's a good dumbbell weight for someone who has been lifting for 1 month? I'm using 15 and 18 pounds dumbbells and they seem kinda lightweight, but i'm not sure is dumbbell even supposed to be heavy?

i use these currently and they are pretty decent
max weight is like 52.5 per dumbell
saves space and pretty sturdy
not as big or as cumbersome for as other dumbbells
great for beginners

Depends on the exercise. 30 lbs would be pretty good for 1 month if you're curling, whereas press I'd think you better start eating mr skeltal

Cricket snacks.

The macros are solid. I'm gonna feel like a fucking basketcase when I tell people I've been eating crickets for gains. The exact macros don't seem to be available online but pic related is comparable. If the price isn't too ridiculous I'll probably pick some up. I'm gonna go to the sampling in DC Sunday, if you see someone who looks like they lift mixed in with the skinny hipsters, that's me.

Is it possible for me to reach the natty limit on a 5x5 and accessories routine could I just do 5x5 forever and keep upping the weight slightly? What happens when I reach a point where I can't add weight anymore do I just keep lifting the same amounts and how do you adjust calorie intake for this? Keep at 3500ish calories?

It's nearly impossible unless you have the genetics I'd say. You'll grow less every day that at some point of doing the same shit you'll basically stop growing. You are better with doing 5×5 for a few months and 4×15 (for example) for a few more before going back to 5×5.
Just basing on my experience of only achieving noob gains on a strength program no matter how much weight I kept adding and experience a nice growth phase when I switched to high reps

No, eventually you will stall and need weekly programming rather than daily. These types of routines are slower in progression than beginner routines so as long as you can handle the linear routines you want to stay on them.

5x5 isn't a routine its just a rep range, but yes you can. When you max out you play around with the loading and rep scheme to pretend some progress is being made then end up adding 5 lbs to your max the next year like powerlifters do.

happenes to me all the time, i don't let it de-moralize me. find something to do while you wait for a rack. stretch if necessary, do bodyweight squats to prepare, work your mobility. after squats re-organize your workout so you can have high intensity. it really isn't that complicated.

Does anyone make their own pre-workout?

I actually like pre-workout but I'm getting tired of paying for it. I've seen formulas for it that mostly consist of Caffiene, Creatine, Beta-Alanine, Citrulline Malate, and L-Theanine.

I was thinking of buying this stuff in bulk and making it. Anything else I should add? Was thinking maybe a bit of YHCL and DMAA. Kool-aid or gatorade powder for taste, maybe a bit of stevia.

What about a cutting version that has YCHL and Ephedrine?

If I buy the bulk powders and I sell some of my homemade pre-workout to offset the cost is that highly illegal?

I make my own preworkout by going to 7-Eleven and buying sips.

B12 sure why not, never hurts

I make mine with 2 tsp citrulline, 1 tsp beta alanine, half a caffeine tab (50mg), a couple grams of arginine I've had laying around and a b complex pill. Makes my stomach hurt if I take it on an empty stomach. Works great.

Super cheap but the reason I do it is to control the amount of stims; I don't want to pay for a shitton of caffeine and amphetamkne analogs that will only be bad for me and make me addicted.

I don't see why it would be illegal to sell but I dunno who you're going to get to buy it enough to make it worth looking like a weirdo selling "homemade preworkout" at the gym
