o-ok
I had 2 beers tonight
spent the evening trying to hide my drunkenness from my family, finally they've gone to bed so i can relax now
i like vanilla milk.
>>8390710
I like to leave bowls and glasses in the bathroom in between trips to the kitchen but then maybe I forget to take one and I go to take a piss and the bathroom be smelling like brunswick stew or cummin
>>8390710
No.
what is vanilla milk?
I've been tasked with bringing a couple of bottles of wine to a christmas soiree. I'm looking for stuff that's sweet and grape juicey (I don't like wine and I don't want to be asked to do this ever again)
What would /ck/ recommend?
>>8390381
Franzia is cheap, grape juicey, and I guarantee they'll never ask you again.
>>8390385
Is it known to be cheap? I want it to look like an attempt was made at least. I guess I could present it with an amusing anecdote like "it came highly recommended by the bum outside of the store" or something to that effect.
>>8390381
This doesn't quite meet your recommendation but I promise everyone will like it. Fruit up front, mineral medium clean finish. Kung Fu Girl Riesling. It's like 9 bucks a bottle, assuming you're in America.
you will remember them, but they will all be gone
How will I remember things I've never heard of?
>onions or potatoes
I can live without potatoes. I use onions too much to even consider getting rid of them.
360 and moon walk out
Is smoking a meme? I really like smoked foods but I don't want to eat a meme
Memes become memes because they're true, Anon. Rejecting memes completely makes you a contrarian which is much more annoying than a bandwagoner.
>>8390208
bad news bruh, caring if something is a meme, is a meme
>>8390208
Nah smoking makes cheap cuts of meat pretty damn tasty. It's pretty much the only way things like a tough stringy cut of meat like brisket can be turned into a magical pastrami.
What kind of food did you grow up with?
mostly homecooked meat-and-potatoes type stuff.
nice quads.
Really bland American baby boomer food. Lots of dishes made with canned goods. Casseroles, baked chicken breasts with stove top stuffing, spaghetti with jarred sauce (no fucking wonder I can't stand spaghetti), and a fair amount of fast food. Well it could have been worse I suppose.
I weighed 220 pounds by 9th grade. My mom learned to cook in Turkey from cookbooks because it's all she could find in English and needed a hobby while my dad spied on the Russian transmissions. By the time his tour in the air force was over she had something like a hundred cookbooks.
Is it worth the hour and a half of stirring to do it the old fashioned way?

When you go grocery shopping do you make a list and follow it closely, or just get whatever is on sale/in season? I dont really plan my trips at all and kind of just get whatever the fuck.
Also, why whenever you google pictures of "grocery shopping" do you get a bunch of pictures of people getting vegetables or with carts full of only vegetables? Everyone knows you get the meat first and then put the vegetables ontop so they dont get squished

imho all i do while away from dog is pray for it's safety
Both? I make a meal plan for the week based on what I already have so that I'm not wasting perishable ingredients, figure out what I'll need to get, and don't deviate very much. That said, I also have a pretty good idea what's going to be in available and in season with very few exceptions (I don't know EXACTLY when fiddleheads or ramps will be there, but most other things I can tell based if nothing else on what things looked like last week). That said, if there's an unexpected sale on something I'll get it if it's something that'll keep (rutabagas, pork roast) or is too good to pass up and worth rearranging the meal plan for.

You get the meat last so it stays cooler longer
I just got this, what should I put in it?
an all beef hotdog
>2016
>not ageing your semen in oak barrels
no I meant nacho cheese, put nacho cheese in it.
Anybody else think cake pops are weird? I mean it's basically a single bite of cake
So what's weird about that?
>>8388109
I mean the purpose of a stick in a lolipop is so you can hold it while you enjoy it, which usually takes quite a while because it's meant to be licked and sucked, but a single bite of cake would take literally seconds to consume so what's the purpose of the stick? May as well just be served on a napkin or something
>>8388121
The purpose of sticks in food is to avoid using cutlery while also not getting your hands dirty. It has nothing to do with how long it takes to eat.
Didn't see one in the catalog. Post and discuss beer.
I picked this up on a whim today because a coworker mentioned he liked it.
It's light, has a pleasant slightly roasted malty favor, and is very refreshing. At 5.68% ABV it's a good strength beer. I'd certainly have this as a regular in my fridge.
I just picked up this one. Seems interesting.

What beer should I buy for Chrissy/BDay/NY? Preferably available in Straya.
I have a sneaking suspicion that this Danish Cookie "Selection" is just the same cookie in different shapes
>>8387115
The cookies are a formality. People just want the tin.

DANISH FUCKING SHITS
Some have sugar on top.
TL;DR: I work an awful grocery store job that leaves me physically and mentally exhausted. I'm starting College soon and need money. Is waiting/serving a good fit? I have no prior experience other than the 1 year of customer service from my grocery job
right now I work at a grocery store making $9.50, soon to be $10 an hour. The job is grueling, with non-stop 10 hour shifts, no breaks, no benefits, no flexibility, and my position is dead-end.
It's so grueling that every day I get home I'm so physically and mentally exhausted that I can barely stand, let alone think. I wind up just falling asleep for a few hours straight.
this is a problem as I'm starting College in a few weeks' time.
I'm seriously considering switching to being a waiter/server. I live in a Florida resort town so I doubt finding a job would be too difficult. I have no experience as a server, but the grocery store job has given me experience with customer service.
How much do you guys make? I bring home roughly $260-280 weekly. My mom told me she brought home what I make in a week every night during busy nights.
Is the workload alright for someone going to college?
I'm mostly worried about carrying trays of food and dropping them
pic somewhat related

You're going to get a variety of answers, mate.
People who are majoring in EE/CPE/CS/SE will typically get an internship during their second year that pays like 3-7K per month.
People are majoring in IT/Customer Service will probably make like 15.
You should post your City, State and major.
>>8387066
Sarasota, Florida.
I'm starting at a CC so right now my major is "Network Systems Technology". I'm not 100% retarded and I can figure out math, I'll start at a uni and get a degree in CompSci.
>>8387081
>I'm not retarded
IF I'm not retarded
not looking bright for me huh
Made some vegan dark bear chili from some vegan website, just wanted to try healthy eating. It called for 2 cans of beans but I replaced1 can with a pound of hamburger. Turned out pretty good. You get a real subtle hint of the beer but it's not gross or anything
>>8386961
>dark bear
This was the beer. It's hard to find a lone bottle of beer. Never even heard of this stuff.
>>8386967
>vegans care about light-skinned bears but not the darkies
>tfw I'm the one who's going to do the Christmas dinner
Gimme some ideas, /ck/. It's going to be about 13-15 people.
For me, it's the McChicken
>>8386461
If it was me, I'd buy 13-15 McChickens' They'd love the best fast food sandwich.
Head down to your local McDonald's and get 20 McChickens, the best fast food sandwich
