Alright /ck/, I've tried making my mayonnaise a couple of times and I somehow fucked it up. It looks really simple but I always end up with the ingredients being just like when I start, what am I doing wrong?
>>8393638
You have your ratios wrong, get a kitchen scale.
emulsify.
how are you blending everything?
>>8393663
I use a regular wooden spoon, but I don't think I'm doing it at the correct speed, the first time I did it really fast while the second time I did it much slower.
Rate my cheesecake.
7/10, I can cum more frosting than that
7/10 but because it's not really cheesecake anymore
When I get cheesecake I want to taste the cheesecake. If i wanted something else on it I would have gotten any other cake.

oreo crust?
Christmas potluck party. Im a terrible cook. What is something savory that I can make thats not too difficult but really good and everyone will love? Something out of the ordinary. I was thinking crab stuffed mushrooms.

yenda pale ale
hollandia
sierra nevada pale ale
matso mango/ginger beer
some winter cider
It costs a bit and it's probably still fairly pleb taste but I don't drink much anyway.
How has your palate or cooking style changed over the years?
>implying this isn't just 3 different kinds of the first loli
>it'll never be fun to go on 4chan ever again
What is the best of the so-called "trash" fish, ie, fish that anglers generally don't want to catch or eat? Something like Pike Minnow is actually very tasty; it's just that fishers in pikeminnow areas are usually fishing for something else.
Conversely, which trash fishes really ARE worthless, no matter how much you fry or season or doll them up with culinary makeup?
>>8391299
Tilapia and sometimes catfish, depending on source.
>>8391299
Depends, are you talking about fresh water specifically or saltwater fish too?
I live in Hawaii and there are some fish here that we consider trash fish but in actuality are pretty tasty.
>>8391422
Either type, I guess. Pikeminnow is an interesting example because Oregon and Washington actually pay people to get rid of them, since they eat young salmon.
It tastes fine to me, but apparently it's not a very well-regarded fish by cooks.
Anyone else like their taste/texture?
>>8390097
Not really. The chunks of bonemeal and random unidentifiable animal hairs just don't do it for me anymore.
>>8390097
tried the jerky for dogs a few times
in doesn't taste much like regular jerky
not very good
>>8390097
You know, your post isn't as stupid as you think it is. My uncle, after a pint of vodka, of course, reached into the pantry and grabbed a handful of dog treats for a snack. Then he started bitching to my mom about how those snacks sucked.
Guy's I'm sick of being a man-child. How can I force myself to like vegetables. They're the only food group I don't like, and I feel like I could cook much better meals if incorporated more vegetables into them. Help me Obi-Wan /ck/anobi you're my only hope.
>>8389300
The best veggies are meat flavoured vegetables
Serve them under gravy, or season lightly with msg powder before consumption.
A light brush of melted salted butter also helps.
You don't have to become a vegetarian, but becoming a vegetarian cook did wonders for my vegetable cookery--I kind of got bored with cooking meat all the time that i just stopped buying it, and wa la, i'm a great veg cook (i still eat meat if i'm out though). Vegetables are awesome you just have to learn what they should taste like.

Grilling them with strong, savory sauces is a good way to mask them without adding much fat. Olive oil is usually best for a simpler grill, but you could always do a sweet and salty soy marinade with pepper.
Savory stuff I like:
>roasted Brussels sprouts with balsamic glaze
>simple chopped onion, pepper, sweet potato, squash with olive oil in the oven or pan
>celery, bell pepper, or carrot sticks in garlic hummus
Over time, you should feel comfortable adding less to the vegetables.
Publix is the best grocery store of all
>employee owned so staff give a shit
>great deli
>wide variety of foods available
>beautiful architecture
>quality everything
Nothing you can ever do will ever beat the Publix supermarket chain. Go ahead and try. You can't. You simply can't top this supermarket. Not even the Costco fags on here will try.

>Paying 30% more for all your groceries so you don't have to see a real life black person
Ok
i was just gonna make a pub sub general

I'd double the price on everything if I never had to see a minority again.
I ate a Jalapeno and barely cried. I think I'm ready for the next step. Which pepper is slightly spicier?
>>8386909
Ghost chili.

3 days in guys.
Brine just started getting cloudy.
CO2 bubbles everywhere.
We're looking good for a first attempt. 11 days to go!
>>8393752
Alright so from left to right, what are you working on here?
>>8393755
1) Jalapeno and garlic
2) Habanero and garlic
3) Jalapeno, Habanero, Serrano and garlic
4) (snacks) Cucumber, Carrot, Radish and garlic
Next time I'm thinking of adding carrot with the habanero to accompany as sweetness with the fruitness of it. I'm hesitant on adding onion to the mix also, but at the same time it sounds like it might be a good accompaniment.
>>8393765
Oh, also there's a bunch of fresh crushed pepper in there. Like me the pepper.
Is this really made out of turkey?
wut
That's what the filename says so it must be true.
>>8393696
What i'm asking is if turkey breast (not directly from the roast bird, but the sliced one sold at stores) is really turkey breast or if it's turkey-flavored chicken or if it's like sausages and it's made from various other meats but with turkey seasoning, because that sure doesn't taste exactly like turkey
Do you recommend Culver's /ck/? I'm going to be in Dallas next week and I hear it's pretty good.
It's meh. Their burgers are too greasy and the only thing worth getting is their custard.
Wiscosinfag as well. its and absolutely shit for you, but that doesn't change that its fucking delicious...
So I'm dieting, myfitnesspal and fatsecret are giving conflicting results for something.
Which should I believe?

That you shouldn't be eating Bojangles
>>8393358
Normally I don't, but my roommate brought me 3 home and I'm kind of OCD on my diet chart and would like it to be accurate.
why not just grill or bake your own chicken instead of going through this ~*trying*~ dilemma of figuring out which of your calorie counters are correct?
