I'm stumped. I can't figure out what this plant is anywhere. What the heck is this?
jimson weed
delicious
eat it OP.
How does one dispose of plants like this? Can't burn it. Smoke will kill you. Can't compost it. Plants might take up toxins. Town won't take noxious weeds
because they compost it. Just cutting it down will make you violently ill.
Hi, /an/. This fox stops by everyday for food. He seems to be the smallest and weakest, so I am trying to fatten him up. It appears he has mange, because of the bumps but I didn't take a very good picture. I always leave out some cat food and water for him so because it's a hit day outside. He comes out every day and he doesn't mind me sitting close to him to read a book.
Unfortunately today foxbro was injured by a bigger and more dominant fox, because I heard the other trying to steal his food and had him pinned down and was biting at his throat. I chased the other fox away and hit him by throwing an axe and yelled at it while I chased it away. After the fight foxbro was limping and had a hard time selling the food, so I boiled him an egg and mashed it. Foxbro just kept eating and looked at me gratefully and left the yard. I really hope he doesnt get bullied or killed by any other foxes, because he's surprisingly thin. I'll update what happens. What shall we name foxbro? Pic related, I leave food and water for him under the peach tree every day
Just confirmed she's a girl, also I dunno why but she always takes a poo and pee in our neighbors yard before leaving

>Has mange
Damn shame it's coat is worthless.

I could be very wrong, but I see some bumps on her skin, so I suspect she does.
Stupid parrot crashed into a desk and literally broke its neck (I think. How can you tell if it's dead or unconcious?). We had it for 2 weeks
Why are parrots so stupid
Pic unrelated btw. It's a small colorful parrot
Looked kinda like this

Take a time-stamped picture, return to store, acquire money, buy less dumb animal.
>>2168060
Try returning it to the store and complain how they sold you a dead parrot.
Do so in a British accent with plenty of Monty Python references.
Also it doesn't hurt to check if it's alive. If it still has a heart beat it should be fine. I think.
Looking for idiot cat advice, starting to get a little worried, I'm sure y'all get posts like this a LOT.
>Moved into first apartment w/ friend 1.5 weeks ago.
>Settled, then did hours of reading about moving cats to a new home
>"They'll hide" "They'll be spooked" etc etc so I prepped
>He's a fantastic, oddball 3 year old cat - no health issues prior, social, friendly, the kind of cat that's never actually bitten anyone
>Move him in from parents' place three days ago, he instantly runs around and flops around and seems comfy, no hiding, no 48-hour timidness, I'm flabbergasted
>Litter box is in my bedroom closet due to space constraints, it's deep and got lotsa room.
>First day with cat in the house, drop him in litter box every 20 minutes or so until he gets it
>He's completely taken to his litter it seems, i mean day three and he's still using it, which i clean every morning.
But despite everything being great and him being affectionate and behaving great, he's peed on the middle of my bed two days in a row now, right after i'm up and out of my room making breakfast.
This is the same bed that he settles down on at night, and lazes around on when I'm at the computer, so wtf cat
I know there're lots of resources on solving cats using furniture instead of litter, but this is ADDITIONAL to the litter which he's otherwise using normally, so I have no idea.
Either hoping for some solutions or even better, if anyone has ideas about what's causing this.
If it's just initial house stress I'd like to help him get comfy but also stop the fucker from peeing on my stuff because laundry is $$$ and stress
If he's showing signs of something worse, there are like 3 vets in walking distance so I'm down to go that route.
Is it okay to post this here? Probably should've gone to /adv/ maybe
SORRY FOR ESSAY? HERE'S A NICE PIC OF HIM
Cute cat.
Does he have any problems in the litter box? Straining? Painful meows? Going into the litter box and scratching around without actually using it?
How often does he pee?
It isn't natural for a cat to expel on a place they sleep. You should take him to the vet and have him examined before assuming this is behavioral. It should be a top priority to rule out medical reasons for Improper box behavior as soon as possible.
It is very, very possible the stress of the relocation exasperated a condition he had, and now he is in distress. Call your vet.

Nope to the noises, although it's possible he's scratched a bit at the empty box.
He goes a couple times a day i think?

So it turns out T-Rex didn't roar. No seriously. They coo like fucking pigeons.
As more shit is uncovered they will probably seen as the least terrifying predators that ever existed on earth.

Can someone tell me what tree this is? Can I eat any part of them?
I was walking in my brothers back yard and one of the tree nuts landed right on my head.
Tree located in Massachusetts. Struggled finding it online.

You can't eat it.
Smells like bitter, rotten apples right?
Discard.
Aren't they underripe pecans?
I'm having a little (fucking huge) problem with my cat (obviously not pic related).
She'll be two years old next month, and throughout the first year of her life, she was a pretty normal kitten. For about the last year, she's been having some diarrhea. I honestly haven't thought too much about it because she'll have it once or twice every 1~2 months, and I'm chalking that up to a cat just being a cat because my cousin tells me that's normal. Either way:
Yesterday, she had diarrhea five times, and she's had it four times so far today. Yesterday, between her bouts of diarrhea, she managed to throw up. I've never seen her throw up like this before, because her body was jerking up and down like something huge was going to come out of her, and it certainly did. Despite that fact that she was having diarrhea, and not even a lot of it each time by any means, she threw up a huge fucking turd. I'm talking like a foot long, fully formed, two inch thick turd. Then she walked it off like nothing happened. Normally when she has diarrhea, it's one time every 1~2 months with no turds coming out of her mouth.
Her diarrhea has been a light brown colour and while it's not pure liquid, it's INCREDIBLY soft. So soft that it can KIND OF resemble a turd when it's out of her, but it can't keep it's shape at all when I try to pick it up with a bag. It also doesn't smell like cat poop. It smells like death. In addition, whenever I try to pick her up, she meows very softly like she's in pain and doesn't want me to pick her up which is totally weird for her.
I haven't changed her food recently, I haven't given her any treats in the past few weeks, and I've been keeping her food and water dish especially clean.
I have no problems taking her to the vet, but I live in the middle of bumfuck nowhere, and the vet's office doesn't open until Tuesday because it's a long weekend. Is there anything in the meantime you guys might be able to tell me about this?
Probably the biggest threat right now is dehydration so make sure that your cat is drinking enough water. If it isn't already eating it, give it wet food to help replenish it's internal water supply.
The starch water that is leftover from boiling rice can help stop the diarrhea. Add some chicken broth to help make it more appetizing and hydrate your cat more. Hopefully it will pull through until Tuesday

>Probably the biggest threat right now is dehydration so make sure that your cat is drinking enough water. If it isn't already eating it, give it wet food to help replenish it's internal water supply.
She's been eating food and drinking water. Not as much as normal, but she's been taking some bites of food after she finishes her diarrhea, and she does have a drink of water every now and then. I've had to refill her water dish, so she's definitely not dehydrated (I hope)
This starch water from boiling rice though, I've never heard of such a thing. Are there any determents or other side effects to giving it to a cat, or will it only stop the diarrhea? Should I also be giving it to her warm, cold, or room temperature? Also, how long should I be giving it to her for, or is one dish enough?
Thanks so much for the help, by the way.
>>2165147
To be honest I don't know the logistics of the rice water. I just know it works for humans, dogs, and cats at the very least. Try googling it to see if you can get more precise info

*Questions and stories about dogs
So...
Got my first pupper, never had a dog before and always wanted to have that feel. She is about 4 months old best I can tell.
One of the books I have been reading suggests giving pupper beef leg bones. Instructs to remove excess fat and meat, boil for 15 to 20 minutes, let cool and give to pupper.
Did just that, pupper loves it. Best part is I was able to take the bone away with minimal growling and no biting or "protection" behavior.
But now I just did some online research, and about 50/50 are saying don't give dogs bones of any kind.
Did I fuck up?
i live in ontario, canada and i'm about to rent a condo unit with the owner saying "no pets". i'm gonna sneak in 3 cats anyway. i saw dogs come in and out of the building, so i know it's not a building-wide policy.
my cats are all spayed and fairly quiet and lazy as cats are.
they only scratch furniture, which would be our own property anyway.
the floors are hard wood/linoleum/ceramic.
what's the worst that can happen?
eviction
>>2169000
but i live in ontario and i thought they can't legally do shit like that?
i was more worried that they'll slap a deposit on me and ask for more money every month.
>>2168997
Cat piss gets under the floor and peels up linoleum. Ruins hardwood. Smell never goes away. The renters after you will think someone was using the condo to make meth.
Cat grease fucks up walls that will need to be repainted and moulding replaced.
Cat will sit in window and onlookers will snitch and get you thrown out.
