I got interested in jumping spiders lately, and the intelligence they have it's incredible, the salticidae are considered the more advanced spiders, they can see colors, they learn and solve problems.

But the most interesting part are the mating rituals. it looks to me like this spiders evolved to favour intelligence and creativity.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1355RCne5w0&list=UUA1shkhjIY_QiDdYfEYDqew

So I got myself one, I would love to show you a picture of her, but it's only 2mm (around 0.07 inches for the measurement impeded) and I can't take a picture of it that doesn't look like a blurry mess.

Any help with the care of it, or on how to take pictures of something so tiny, would be greatly appreciated.

Dear /an/, I need your advice. I'm really torn apart by this. I can barely eat, I can't sleep and I'm feeling like shit all day long. This is my situation: two days ago I rescued three little mutt puppies (around 2 months old) from this bike path that's parallel to a highway. Some heartless piece of shit let them there to die. They were all dehydrated, hungry and had some fleas. There was a cardboard box a few meters from where I found them. I put them in the box and tucked in between my handlebars and my chest. I was a real pain but I managed to get them home. I really love dogs and I'm specially torn apart when I see a dog in pain, but I live in an apartment and I already have 2 dogs and 3 cats, so keeping them is completely out of the question. I got them medicine to get rid of their tummy parasites and gave them a bath with anti flea shampoo/soap. Here is the tragic part: I'm trying really hard to find a home for them, but I'm seriously getting desperate. Bills keep adding up and there's just so little time my wife and I can dedicate to keeping them clean and healthy. If this keeps up, I don't know what I'll do. I don't live in the States and there are just a few animal protection organizations around here that have not been of any help. I'm not sure what kind of answer I expect from you, but at least it's helping with my desperation and sadness. Some people have even suggested that I put them down and give them a merciful, which is much better than the horrible death that awaited in the highway. The thought alone made me cry like a little bitch. Please help a brother out. Thank you for reading, /an/.

First off, good on you for taking them in. They're lucky you were there.

As for what to do, if you have any way to network with friends, online, on facebook or sites like craigslist, now is the time to do it. I wouldn't give the pups away for free (too easy for people meaning to hurt them in some way,) but a small fee.

If you absolutely can't find them homes in a timely manner, is there a friend who could take them in until they find homes? Or maybe help you out financially so you can continue caring for them until you can find them homes?
>>
Does your country have something like Craigslist? Maybe you could put up some flyers around your neighborhood.
>>
Maybe ask friends/family to help, kind of spread the burden? Like you take them one day, a friend the next, etc. Otherwise yeah just focus on finding them homes, not for free but cheap enough they'll be a good price.

I feel your pain.

Try Antrid, or some similar product. It's a liquid they collect and take back to the nest that poisons the whole colony.

Hey /an/, I need some help.

>neighbors have violent dog
>it's bitten multiple people and fucked a cat up to the point it required surgery
>neighbors won't tie up the fucking dog
>people have called animal control and they told them to "call them back if it bites the toddler", whom lives next door with the cat that got attacked
>friend almost got attacked by the dog, said if it goes after him, it's dead
>neighbors try to justify not having their dog tied up, say something retarded like they'll tow his car for parking somewhere or some shit

What do I do? Animal control won't even help me. I live in WV if that helps.

Anybody have any tips for taking care of Lyretail Swordtails? My mom got two and she's put me in charge of setting up their tank. Right now they're just hanging out in a tank with a filter, light, and gravel at the bottom. I read that they like live plants and warmer water, so I'll pick up those and a tank heater soon.

>my puppy doesn't see me for a few days.
Then who does it see?
Apparently whoever is taking care of the dog when you are not around for a few days is now the owner. This would be thier problem. They probably don't have an issue with the dog pissing from excitement because they are now socialized with the animal, and it sees them as part of the pack.
