I'm currently visiting my family, and they have fleas. What can i do to prevent bringing them home with me?
And if i do, what can i do to get rid of them?
Shower when you get home, vacuum/mop floors and wash your sheets for around a week. Keep a cup of water with soap somewhere around that way if you see one, catch it with your index finger and thumb and submerge your hand to drown it.
>>2164484
Also wash all the clothes you wear when you visit that family.
>>2164436
Everything you wear into a garbage bag before you even get in the car. It may be embarrassing, but it'll be over before you know it. Put the clothes into the dryer. Wash yourself when you get home

Do not fucking use datura.
Just don't.
Not trying to sound like an edgelord here, and I genuinely am the first person to hate people who say things like this. Does anyone else literally not give a shit about other people but get upset if something happens an animal ?
For example I honestly could not care less if migrant children drown in hundreds or get bombed in their own countries. On the other hand I see shit like this and I feel sick http://www.belfasttelegraph.co.uk/news/northern-ireland/community-appalled-as-callous-driver-mows-down-baby-swans-in-co-fermanagh-34868375.html

>Does anyone else literally not give a shit about other people but get upset if something happens an animal ?
No. I care about them both, but I mostly place animals on about the same tier as children and old people because they are, in a sense, "innocent and defenseless".
However, I absolutely put human life over animal life as a default.
So basically someone purposefully causing suffering to an animal evokes the same kind of rage that I'd feel if someone was purposefully causing suffering to a child or elderly person.
But I also agree with and understand why Harambe had to be shot, why animal wellness should be protected but they shouldn't have human rights, ect.
>>2164393
I'm with this anon. There is a certain level of care between species but if things can be enforced justly, would prefer it. Alot of the authorities like the black and white-tiered attitude though because anything animal involved is legally lowest priority outside of emergencies (like evacuations since many people refuse to leave their animals when told to evacuate, so its now in plans to help animals evacuate as well).
>>2164387
It's easy to understand that. But I'm not going to write an essay about it. I would say it's down to innocence, necessity and evil (selfishness). When something happens where innocents die by selfish action completely unnecessarily, it hits you hard. I'm not saying that migrant drowing is necessary, but it's easy to see why that happens. They hop on a shitty boat and pray that it doesn't sink. I'm sorry guys but that is not upon God if a boat has a hole in it. Nevermind that the political chain of cause and effect that makes these countries shitholes and unlivable goes back at least a hundred years.
Anyway I think you're just angry about the world and it shows this way. So long as it doesn't make you actually turn your back on someone who you could within reason help (say, someone that is drowing), it's not a big deal. And that would also make you the people that you hate.

Got a Mexican Red Knee a few days ago.
But coming home from work i saw all this white stuff in my cricket place.
(Pic Related)
They seem to be avoiding it so it doesn't look to healthy.. What do?
Also, can I still feed em to my baby red knee?
Here's a pic for those interested
Some type of fungus, ive gotten similar stuff too dont know what its called, i think it grows best in humidity , i wouldnt feed those crickets to the tarantula just to be safe, Yours is cute btw where did you get it and how much?
>>2164439
I fed him one of them still, but i'll stop feeding him then until i get another batch, althought hes still so little and eats every day.
Thanks! I got him at a Reptile store. I hope it's a female.

I love bovines, they are such underrated creatures
Very good with wine sauce
Is the anon on here who keeps crested porcupines still around?
Debating getting one in the future and have read some zoo husbandry guides and shit, but I had a couple questions none of that stuff answered.
I remember the videos you has some young ones inside. Can you do the same with an adult? I mean obviously not all the time like a dog because i'm sure they'd chew the shit out of everything, but just on the level of getting home and letting it out while you're around.
Also how safe is a properly hand raised adult? The zoo manuals kept talking about using wooden shields and shit but I assume that all depends on how the individual was raised? I've seen pictures and videos of people carrying them and them being around children so they can't be THAT bad. (Not that I'd ever let it around kids)
Anyone else with experience with these guys would be more than welcome too!
This is stupid as fuck, get a proper pet. This is something that can injure you very badly extremely easily just by accident. It lives in fucking Africa where it has to deal with huge predators all the time, they are not chill at all. An american porcupine would be better but even then it's crazy.
>>2164228
Actually you are more likely to get hurt by an American porcupine. Not talking about range or anything, but it takes little to no effort to get stabbed with American porcupine quills. They are sharper, barbed and easily released. Having one in your house would be a nightmare you'd probably sit on a bunch of quills if it had been on your couch.
Crested porcupine quills are much thicker and unless you're especially retarded or purposely pissing it off then youre most likely to be fine other than a couple pokes here and there.
Nature is so cruel. Both are very playful animals that love to be pet and climb on you when hand raised.

Hey, /an/. I was considering getting a pet pigeon. What should I know before I get too far into it?

Don't you mean June bug?
>>2164156
I think he means either a cockchafer or a june bug
most likely a june bug, considering it is July
Maybe op is a complete retard and mistakes a Flower beetle for a cockchafer
>>2164155
Used to be afraid of june bugs
But then I looked closer
Their eyes! Their fluffy golden chest!
Their weird anlter antenna things!
Their infantile level of coordination!
Adorable buggers
Has anyone ever thought of keeping their pet's skull? I've had thoughts of properly preparing the skull and putting it into a respectful display like pic related. I feel it's less creepy and space-saving than taxidermy and more identifiable than a box of ash.
I guess it wouldn't just be that nice to decapitate and skin your loved pet, nor to dig up its rotting carcass, and then boil it.
But if you're up for it, go to town.
>>2164138
Why not a nice urn? Urns are way more tasteful and very identifiable.
>>2164246
Boiling skulls is shit, don't do it.
And yes OP I have two of my dog skulls, some rat skulls and a cockatiel skeleton. I've skinned and mounted things before so you could say I was used to it at that point. Sure I'm sad my pet died but at that point they are dead and that's it. What I loved about them is gone.
I'd mount up my current old dog but I adopted her from a young woman who couldn't keep her anymore and while as far as concerned she has no say in it, but I'd feel bad if she found out. Same if it was an animal I adopted from a shelter, least they think I killed them for their skin. But that's really just a moral issue.
Anyway cut off the head, macerate in it water, after all the tissue is gone soak it in more water with dishsoap and there you go. Done. If you want to whiten it, dilute hydrogen peroxide with water and let it soak a bit.
it's one mother and 2 pretty big babies and I don't want them on my property and I don't want to have to call the wildlife people
Help please, I want them OUT OUT OUT like based Trump

Tear down the shed, deprive them of their shelter and they'll likely move on.
>>2164112
Do you live in the United States?
2 options
A. shoot them with any .22 caliber rifle or air rifle.
B. Get a cage trap and put eggs and peanut butter in it to trap them. Then either call a removal service or shoot them.
After doing A or B, if you have continual problems with coons, place golf balls on top of mounds of gravel.
Any time they move, rebait your traps and remove Coonbab.
