If God likes beetles that much, how come the Biblical God likes humans instead?

Maybe J was a catperson?

Hello fr/an/ds

I'm adopting 2 cats (ages 9 and 10) who have known each other for years and get along well on Friday. I have one cat (who I've had for 19 years), and am hoping the two new cats will be good companions for her, as she has outlived her other cat friends.

I have been reading about how to introduce them extensively online, and am conflicted as to which method to use. It seems the most popular approaches are a very slow introduction over the course of several weeks, and to keep them separate for a couple days while the new cats adjust, then once they seem comfortable, introduce them from a distance and give treats, then allow them to interact in the room. The second approach recommends that if they hiss at first, to just keep them in the same room as long as they aren't fighting, and they will eventually become friends.

What are your thoughts?

Try to avoid forcing them together if she finds it too stressful. Cats that old really don't like to handle things like that.
>>
>>2171815
yeah I wouldn't want to stress her

if it really is bad i can just keep them on different floors of the house.
>>
>she outlived her cat friends

Man that sounds sad.

Your cat and I share a birtbday
>>
Your cat doesn't even understand the concept of a birthday. Just treat her well all days of the year and love her, that's all she wants.

Hey, need help. My cats anal sac ruptured. I didn't even notice an abscess until I found him licking at what I thought was a wound.

The soonest I can get him to a vet is tomorrow. How much of an emergency is this injury. Is there any safe way to clean it? How can I keep him from licking it.

He's about 12 years old and looks like the image

Umm. Phewww.Ok

Imma need to you to educate me on what you mean
I know my 6 year old will just secrete anal juices the month that his ass just explode on random and he seems fine.

Is your cat in pain?
>>
>>2171794
You need to take him to a vet asap. This can be life threatening if left because of the infection, your kitty picking at it, and god forbid if it needs to use the bathroom. Especially in an older cat, might mean something else is going on. good luck op

I'm thinking I fill up a Petri dish with some puddle or pond water and as long as there steady supply of sun light and detritus I could keep microorganisms like Copepoda, water fleas,Rotifera and nematodes.dontou guys think it could work

I'd recommend something bigger for best results. A big jar in an area with enough sunlight to grow algae but not cook everything, and a few scoops of pond mud would would really well.

I'd love some way to keep a colony of bioluminescent dinoflagellates (the stuff that lights up the ocean waves blue), but I doubt it's doable

Hey guys I found a baby bunny on my front porch.

I used two pairs of Nitrile gloves to pick pick it up and place it back on the grass hoping for the mother bunny to come find it.

Would nitrile offset the mother? Or is that a superstition?

>>
If it's hopping around it'll be fine, they roam around in the day. Mother won't smell anything.
>>
>>2171691
It is indeed a superstition.
>>
Yeah the babies are kinda dumb and go places adult rabbits would not. I am sure it will be fine. That is not true for rabbits so much as it is for deer. Never approach a fawn unless it is dying or in grave danger; the mother could abandon it if it smells like people.

Looks like baby spiders. If you came home and they were all over, they probably just hatched. Open the windows and let them dissipate if you want spider bros to keep your house free of other bugs. If you can't stand them, vacuum them up.
>>
>how do i get rid of them
Not really a reason to, OP. But if you must, just leave the window open.

I've just noticed my cat has runny eyes, has a clear discharge from the nose and open mouth breathes at times. Should I bring him to an emergency vet?

The soonest I can see a vet is Saturday, but everything I've read has said it's rare for it to be fatal, but any respiratory problems for a kitten can be dangerous.

Will my cat make it to Saturday or should I get my ass to the vet right now and pay a shit ton of money for antibiotics?

>>
Why Saturday?
>>
>>2171603
It's the only time slot they have available. they said people cancel a lot, so I might be able to call back and get in earlier. Otherwise it's the emergency vet which is expensive and I heard the vet was a dick too. Just not sure how serious it is. He's still eating and everything.

Are you referring to the hawker or the sparrow?
I live in the low countries, so both are native species here anyway.
