Going to a state park tonight, and don't want to be crammed into the designated camp areas like a sardine. Any tips on avoiding getting busted by the man? NTC will of course be followed.

Anyone have any experience with these boots? Considering them for multi-day hunting in rough terrain.

Good brand, euro made. Thumbs up.
Haven't used but would shortlist for trying on when I need new boots.
Try them on.

I've had a pair for a few months. They're far and away the best hikers I've ever owned. They're stable, aggressive, and tough as fuck. Because of the PU midsole they're also heavy and have no bounce to them, so if you're a sneaker guy then you'll have a tough transition. Great shoes though, I just wish they had a vibram outsole because they can have some minor grip issues on wet or messy rock. This can be mostly managed by stepping more with your forefoot as the outsole has a tackier compound in the front than the one nearer the heel.

Hello /out/ I've been on this board since it was made and I know /x/ topics are hatefully mentioned here

I know a lot of you have fears of sleeping in the woods alone

I just read the first two books to Missing 411 by David paulidies, even listening to his interviews on YouTube.

What could be causing all these disappearances in national parks?

THIS TOPIC IS NOT PARANORMAL, the people disappearing are real and this is not a supernatural occurrence and this mainly happens in national parks and forests.

>How are people disappearing?
>why are tracking dogs thrown off the scent?
>what is taking them?
>how come the criteria is so similar
>how do guys sleep alone /out/
>what guns and weapons do you guys recommend while /out/

I don't go /out/ without a gun of some kind

No one will talk about this,

For those who don't know

>It can boil water with a handful of twigs and sticks.
>Braindead easy to get a fire started.
>Can use wood pellets.

After I'm done cooking, I roast another collection of sticks in my kettle to dry out quicker.

I mean, is there a flaw? Thinking about upgrading to the campstove so I dont need to carry an emergency battery although a 4.4mah battery weighs like .2 lbs.

Is there a superior product on the market?

What better way to celebrate Americas independence day than a good ol state ranking discussion? Any people with the unfortunate circumstance of living in a low ranked state travelling to a great state for the weekend? Stuck in a shit state visiting family? Share all your opinions on the official map and experiences, just don't forget the one rule, you are not allowed to question the rank of your home state/current state of residence, as past threads have shown people are not emotionally able to do so/lack the perspective to be able to.

What activities can someone with social anxiety do?

I tried hiking on along Skyline Drive, but some old guy on the trail tried to talk to me so I ran up on the side of the mountain and then he stared at me for a long time. It was very uncomfortable.

gf and I are headed to Sweden in late August for a few weeks of car camping in a small rented van.

I know about the right of land use but how does that extend to sleeping in your car? Will people/cops give us shit? Favorite places to stop to catch some sleep in the back of the car? Our only general plan is Malmö to Uppsala via Göteborg.

There was a thread a couple days ago talking about it, just to say that Jornet won with a dislocated shoulder.

>The Hardrock 100 Endurance Race is a revered event. The mountainous trail race crosses 100.5 miles of rugged Rocky Mountain terrain near Silverton, Colo. Runners must cross 13 major passes from 12,000′ to 13,000′.

>Jornet finished in 24:32:22, his fourth-straight Hardrock win, and he did it with an injured, apparently dislocated shoulder. He ran with the injury for nearly 60 grueling miles.

What's with the extra half mile? Why not just make it an even 100?
I'd be impressed with Jornet's win if he had had a blown ACL Or something like that. A dislocated shoulder isn't gonna affect your running ability.
