>tfw mags are 90% ads now and read like baby's first blog post
>>
>>1059232
why would you pay money to be advertised to?
It's frustrating thumbing through 10 pages of ads in order to read a half-page article.
>>
>>1059237
And the articles all read the same
>How global warming and racism prevent blacks from succeeding at _______ activity
>>
>>1059232
Nope. Only at the doctor's office

After 40+ years of reading magazines and about 20ish years of the internet, I've learned that most non-fiction informative books really do read a lot like blog posts. The thing that irks me most when reading old books in my library is the fact there's rarely any citations I can look up. It really gives me a completely different perspective on books. Before the internet, I respected books a lot more than after the internet.

I do OP. I take Gray's Sporting Journal and love it. It is always a pleasure to pick up and read, the writing styles are usually extremely literary compared to most outdoor publications and the pictures a usually just gorgeous. 9/10

All the more reason to take anon's advice. An individual with higher XP than you has offered a reply to OP's query, and has provided the reasoning behind anon's choice of /out/ publication. You, conversely, mumbled something in millennial while providing no substance to the conversation at hand.

Best of luck on your hunt for quality /out/ magazine subscriptions. I wish I had more to offer than well-wishing.
