I have the same thing under my arm. I out a steroid cream on it and the red has dimmed down a bit. Rest of my body is ate up with chiggers. Mine had 3 small blisters like Posion ivy. Not really sure what it is. But you're not alone.

A buddy of mine used this, I first saw it while surveying (he was on the crew).

It's all I use now, it's good stuff. I tried using it as shampoo and that wasn't a good idea - my hair is long and it just dried it out and made it feel weird.

But it's great body soap, especially how it makes your balls tingle. I sometimes throw it in the washing machine to make my clothes smell nice.

It don't matter. Non a dat matters. Hammocks are easier to set up than tents which is a plus I guess. But you can make do without anything like people did for ages. I just don't like bugs so I carry spirals.
