Hey /adv/ so I had a question to calm my ass down.
So I'm a 23, y/o male in a loving relationship. It's been pretty healthy and everything is going great.
So two months have gone by and the pressure for sex has been getting pretty intense and it came in a conversation. I talked about how I want to wait for her and don't want to push for sex. So we both agree.
However, last Sunday we jumped to third base and we're on the verge of sex but both of us caught it at the right time saying how this wasn't the time nor place
So, last night, we are chilling at my place and I talk to her about it, but in my words I felt like I was too strong. So I call her and clear the air with her saying what I said before about waiting until she is ready and whatnot.
My biggest worry is that I appear too soft in trying to talk to her and that would be a turn off.
So my biggest question is do I appear soft if I called her to clear the air, even though she said she understood?

Would a hard reset fix an overheating laptop? Also are there any suggestions as to what is causing it, because it used to run fine. It shuts down after about 20 minutes while I'm playing games on it (yeah yeah I know, fuck off mustard race, I'm saving up).

Most likely not, UNLESS the reset removes some kind of application that you installed that is running your hardware hot when it's not supposed to be.
Take canned air and try blowing the air thing out. That might help remove some debris clogging up the exhaust

Possible. You could have installed something that's using your pc to cryptomine. Also malware possibly won't detect it.
But if this only happens when you're playing games then most likely it's the gameplay that's overheating your laptop.

Alright, so I'm in a jam. I recently broke off with a very long term relationship - love of my life situation. In my grief, I started seeing this new girl who's been absolutely wonderful. The problem is, she is friends with this complete white knight tool who lives in the same building as I do. He had a thing for her, she wasn't feeling it, I swept her off her feet shortly after, so this guy hates me. A very old female friend of mine from California is going to be visiting me for a week soon. This is not fair.
We are born to the same parents and yet my younger brother is much better than me. He is taller at the age of 14 than I am at the age of 20, hell he almost has the same body as I do. He is also more handsome in his face and has no skin problems, like I did when I was his age. He is conventionally attractive, while I am maybe a little unique under-average.
Why does he have better genetics if we share the same parents? It is not fair.
He also has more time to pursue his dreams, and generally more time to live, espeically the teenage time, which I did not have the luck to expirience other than in solitude.
I really envy him and even hate his existence, funny thing it was like that since his birth. Parents excluded (they like me more), every other relative treats my brother better than me since he was born.
How the fuck it this fair? I know it is wrong to envy your brother but this is how I feel. We both got one chance in life through THE SAME parents, yet his outcome is better!

How to deal with an irrational mother?
Unfortunately because of my job situation, I'm living under my parents roof.
In the meantime I do freelancing until another good job comes my way. All morning, I'm in my pjs because I had been busy writing emails and communicating with clients. So my mom comes up the stairs and asks if she should cook eggs and bacon. I say ok.
Unfortunately my bedroom is hot as shit, and I'm wearing long warm pjs (because it gets cold at night). So after I send a final email, I'm about to change into a tank and shorts when my mom calls out that the food is ready.
I say just give me a minute and age starts with this shit "come and get it now or I'm eating it". I tell her to just give me a minute so I can throw some clothes on. She says why can't I just eat first and then change since the food is now ready.
I tell her I'm hot as shit and I'm just about to change and she starts yelling at me that the food is hot. I then start yelling at her to just give me 30 seconds to get changed, the food wont get cold. Then she starts yelling at me that I'm crazy for yelling and that I should see a therapist because I have some issues.
I come in dressed, and just try to recap what went down, and instead she just starts yelling and doing the whole "I don't want to hear what you have to say" bullshit. Now a miscommunication and misunderstanding issue has escalated into a argument of not hearing what I have to say, and everytime I try to explain myself, she keeps cutting off and telling me to shut my mouth. She also threatens to throw away my food if I don't shut up, etc. and starts yelling at me that I'm trying to fight to get the last word. Now I'm just trying to get my word in to explain how stupid this whole thing is and how it should've never escalated to begin with.
Besides just moving out, which I can't because I'm not making enough to live on my own, even if I had 3 roommates, how the fuck do I deal with situations like this?

I cant even give you an example of a time she was rational. She is too emotional and always thinks emotionally rather than rationally. Is your mother alone like mine? Cuz that adds to her temper.
But its been years now me dealing with this shit so i observed her.

My mom's not alone, but she's fought with my dad for as long as I can remember. They fight and argue about something every day.
To be fair, my dad has issues of his own, like refusing to wear his hearing aid but blasts the tv at volume 40 all day and night. And he's super forgetful, doesnt pay attention, and has bad table manners.
My mom is super insecure, and of course, if you fight with her, she'll attack you with your own issues. Like when she fights with me, she says "if you didn't act like this, maybe you'd have a better chance finding a job" Or imitate you if you start crying.
There are sometimes I think shes bipolar, because when we do get along, shes supportive and the most generous person I know. She gives a lot of money and clothes and gifts to my sisters and her grandkids when they need it. It's so weird.
Just if you try to converse with her and if she doesn't like what you have to say, she'll constantly talk over you to shut up, and as you stay quiet, she starts ranting on you. And if you try to speak up just to try to reconcile, she shuts you down again and says you're fighting to get the last word, or have to prove you're right.

Hey guys.
So in about an hour my girlfriend will be pulling up with my dying cat. It doesn't seem to look like it's in any serious pain or discomfort, it's just really old and I know I only have days until I have to bring it to you know, die.
My question is, for someone who's experienced this before, what can I do to make the little time I have left with my cat as comfortable and memorable as possible for her?
I've never had to do this because it's the only cat I've had since I was 5 and she's 19 now.
