Help me, /tg/. I'm so desperate I might end upjoining a RPG forum or something.

Fuck; I thought I posted this on the D&D5e general. Please ignore it.

I don't have time for games or a group, and vidya bores me most of the time. Maybe I should just write.

Great blog post, tripfag. We're all very deeply invested in your personal life. That's what we all came here for, after all. You're that important.
I seem to have misplaced my folder that I had which had most of the legendary greentexts like Sir Bearington. I would very much appreciate it if you lads could help me make another folder. just post some stories of yours or that you've saved.

Bumping for necessities. My thanks anon, i didnt know i needed this thread till now
Just go to reddit they are all posted there.
>Be me

>Make a ginger warlock
>When the fiends come to claim my soul, I'll have nothing to give
>TFW perfect optimization achieved
That makes me think about Skyrim where if you've done most of the quest lines you've promised your soul to like 6 different places
But if you're a "powergamer" why would you give a shit about what happens to your character when he dies anyway?

They'll just use your firstborn child's soulYour first mpreg born child, bend over and grit your teeth boi

Is there any bigger meme than organized play in RPGs?
>usually overcrowded as fuck, leading to huge groups
>battles that end up taking forever as a result
>no sense of camaraderie as you jump around games
>random item trading with characters your character doesn't even know and "downtime days" ruin immersion
>the "season" is just a series of adventures that the DMs cannot deviate from or improve on
>full of autists and neckbeards and the occasional '''''quirky''''' girl that acts like an attention whore
Why not just make a group yourself and enjoy some real roleplaying with a consistent, intriguing storyline instead of this mockery?
>>49540852
Some may not have the time for a weekly campaign, others might just want an avenue in which to try out this hobby without any commitment needed. If a person enjoys it they may seek out a more permanent group. I doubt there would be much more unsatisfying than getting people together only for it to fall apart because no one knew what they were doing or enjoyed themselves.
>>49540852
Why indeed? The worst are the people who actually become uber-competitive about it and start developing rankings to show how great their official characters are. Sad.
>>49540852
Just how are this game run FYI?
greetings, i come to you in need of advice, my players are about to enter an old wizard's tower and i was wondering what challenges/dangers could they find inside
here are some details about this:
>party just reached level 8
>is a low magic/steampunk-neske "3.5" setting
>the wizard died about 100 years ago on a war against enemy forces from another country just outside her tower
>the wizard was an archmage specialist in enchantment, she was good aligned and used to teach in her tower
>a female paladin died inside along with all of the servants of the tower and the last few students that she couldnt evacuate in time, also she was the wizard's love
>the war turned the place into a swamp with some wild/uncontrolled magic twisting the area around the tower, and the tower is sunked beneath the swamp now
>i would like the players to enter the tower throught one of the last floors that are still outside the swamp and varely visible and then all the way down
all i got so far is that they will find the ghosts (and maybe fight them) of the servants, students and eventually (maybe at the end) the female paladin who, after being defeated, will recover/take conscience of how many time has passed and will tell them what happened in that place the day they all died, and then she will bond on to her armor and their next quest will be "return her armor and her soul to her god's temple so she can be free" or something like that, but this aside, i got no idea what else could they find/fight in this enchantment tower
gonna upload some towers to bump

I start: It's a very small planet, the size of the moon.

There are a multitude of other nearby planets.
Rabbits are the most dangerous predators of this world.

one of the poles is colder than the antartica. The other is temperate/hot
Would it be bad to include whites in a not!Africa setting?
I don't know if it'd hurt the local flavor or not
Lots of people were pissed off about the Hobbit film throwing in the odd black extra near Laketown
Can they really be considered "african"? Or would it be like tossing in random samurai in a medieval europe game?
>>49540023
It's only bad if done badly.

Here's the thread to talk about solo & solitaire gaming!
Has your gaming partner left you high and dry? No friends, only enemies? Why not try it alone? It's not just the long way to sort cards anymore!

Anyone with experience in Tunnels and Trolls?
I'm going to try some the solo adventures in the "Adventurers Compendium", Should I read the 7th ed. core rules or the 5th? The adventures were printed around the mid 80's, but the AC was printed in 2014. The 5th ed came out in 1979, I guess there was no 6th ed.

How would you make a beekeeping Druid in 5e?
>>49539706
Maybe with a bunch of those beehive boxes on his back and a small hive in his beard, it would make for a really cool npc, but idk how well gameplay would go
I was thinking something along those lines as well, couldn't find any rules for anything involving beekeeping beyond animal handling.
>>49539706
Ranks in Profession (beekeeping)?
Also, transporting bees constantly en masse is a real easy way to spread hive parasites and cause colony collapses brah
You need some fun /tg/

How do you fawn without just making a satyr/elf?
>>49539166
Fawn = baby deer
Faun = satyr
Know the difference; it could save your life.
But faun *are* satyr, OP.
There are some settings that refer to faun as female satyr, but the actual word is just Roman mythology instead of Greek.
>>49539166
This is how I faun.

The players are on a ship, and there's a Xenomorph on the loose? I mean, what else do you want?
The players are on a planet, and there's a Xenomorph on the loose.
The players are loose and there's a ship on the Xenomorph.
"They shall be my finest warriors, these men who give of themselves
to me.
Like clay I shall mould them and in the furnace of war
I shall forge them.
They shall be of iron will and steely sinew.
In great armour I shall clad them and with the mightiest weapons shall they be armed.
They will be untouched by plague or disease; no sickness shall blight them.
They shall have such tactics, strategies and machines that no foe will best them in battle.
They are my bulwark against the Terror.
They are the Defenders of Humanity.
They are my Space Marines
...and they shall know no fear."
Did the Emperor really say that? If so how the fuck can you say something like that and NOT expect to be looked at as a God?!
>>49537874
So every great orator aims to be viewed as a god?
If anything, Guilliman should be the one getting spanked for the whole "god" thing. He derided Lorgar yet he himself threw around words like "gods" and "heresy".
>>49537964
Being a great orator is well and good. Even expected from a great ruler. But stuff like
>Like clay *I* shall mould them
>In great armour *I* shall clad them
>They are *my* bulwark
He really makes them sound like his angels
>>49538054
Well He created the empire, and HE made the space marines, and HE extorted the Mechanicus into creating the armor specs,
Again, nothing in that particular speech makes explicit mention of divinity. It's a very grandiose speech, but grandiosity and divinity CAN be separate.
