Very casual, wear simple clothes to work instead of the proper floral regalia appropriate for big, dignified businesses. Technically more willing to give other races/nations the benefit of the doubt, but also rather steeped in their own preconceived notions and unwittingly racist paradigm.
Midwestern Brown elves. Elfish culture didn't have As Much of a direct and genocidal method of dealing with the local elves when Manifest Destiny was made manifest on their doorsteps, but they were still pretty much forced aside and to allow settlers from more magically developed foreigners. They kind of hold onto their heritage the way that you'd expect to try to keep them alive; a mix of insular community based traditions and public, stereotypical ones they can broadcast and monetize.

Nobody actually play pretentious high-concept indie RPGs like that. They exist to be read through once, to make you go "huh, that's weird", and then you delete the PDF copy you downloaded and go play a fun game instead. I've heard people ask about DitV often, but I've yet to meet anyone who've actually played it.

After the latest novel I feel better for Dorn, because Alpharius tells him "This isn't a fight you can win your way!" and two minutes later, Alpharius has no hands, has his torso laid open, has his own spear rammed through his chest, and then has a chainsword mashed through his skull.

I've not read a more satisfying kill. Alpha Legion have a psychopathic need to gloat, and Dorn just made the phrase "Talk shit, get hit" into physical reality.

Like everything else, they got competition. Its easy to be the big dog when your all alone in the neighborhood. But when others join in, especially with the increase in quality videos from private producers none the less (just for shits and giggles), its hard to stay on top.
And its even harder to take money for shit people now see for free, with better quality and with players that really cares for the hobby and so on.

We saw the same shit happen to Buypainted (if you know the name). He was a huge deal back when people just discovered that the airbrush was usable in the miniature wargaming hobby, just as much as in the regular miniature building hobby.
He was a big deal, he made high quality tutorials for free, on GW models with an airbrush. This was not so very common before him, and it made him the top dog. But alas, he started the idea of taking money for his trouble, and BAM, there was literally hundreds of just as good tutorials available, and he had forever lost his good reputation.
