What's the second angriest chapter?
>>49537670
The one with nails in his scrotum.
>>49537670
Obviously
Who was the most right?
Who were the biggest dicks?
If You think about it a lot of the factions were basically the same but with with ramped of ideologies
Freedom are basically hardcore ecologists
Duty is military but believe that purging the zone is the only correct way.
Renegades are just loners who really hate choosing sides
Clear Sky is just Monolith :^)
>>49537295
Monolith.
Trespassing filth.

>idol worshiping faggots
What level do you prefer your parties to start at?
For D&D3.5/PF, 3 or 4 is a good starting spot. Low enough to grow into power and learn to use the basics of any class, high enough that a single bad axe swing isn't enough to force you to build a new character. Generally. Higher is alright for experienced players, but I'm mostly not willing to even bother starting lower than 3 anymore. I've already done that a million times.
Depends on the system and setting.
Generally speaking, 5e games should start at level three, except for the first game with a new group.
Level 1. I start them with maximum hit die for that level only, allow one one reroll per stat, and make rolls of 1 result in a free reroll that doesn't count against them. (Likewise, future hit die rolls of 1 will also merit rerolls)
In my opinion, it wouldn't be as rewarding for a character to be given any free levels. I want my players to earn every single level through their own exploits and enjoy a sense of accomplishment.
In my setting, there are firearms, but being a high fantasy setting they're flintlock and are clunky and relatively weak.
I want to have the not!Nazi Dwarves develop a new kind of ranged weapon harnessing electricity and magnetism, basically "lightningarms". There are things like repeaters which fire metal bolts, and an anti armor rifle which fires a huge slug but requires a huge lightning crystal to do so as fast as a smaller gun.
Realistically, would they be better than flintlock weapons? If not, would it be too much to say that the magic defies some of the physics?
>>49536266
Are you asking if what is essentially an electromagnetic pulse rifle is better than flintlock?
>>49536303
I'm bad at physics so maybe
>>49536266
Flint lock style guns but instead of charcoal in the gun powder they use spent gems after they are used in spells.
The waist spell components add eliminate and or magical effects to bullets
I see so much discussion of Pathfinder and D&D editions but I see very little about Warhammer Fantasy RP. I'm interested about getting into it and I don't know too much about it. Should I go with 2nd or 3rd ed.? Whats the general style of game?
2nd ED is fairly similar to the 40k rpgs and pretty good if you don't mind dying.
I haven't played 3rd ED, but from reading the rulebook, it seems like a lot of unnessecary bookeeping due to vidya-style cooldowns on everything. It's dice mechanic is a more indepth version of the FFG Star Wars RPGs.
>>49537286
I did play a half-session of the 3rd Edition. It was fun, but it did seem too gimmicky, and I was flipping everything over all the time and going through the cards, trying to figure out where to use this or that...
>>49536200
2e is a good game with easy to learn rules, many people tweak some things (mainly magic) but I like it as is
3e is the prototype to ffg's Star Wars, tweak it to be like star wars (dunno if it works, i know some things got changed, not how much) and it's good, I heard the system as is isn't very fun
>So, you Bandit Elites ... Can you explain to me how to deal with adventurers when ambushing? I mean me and the boys can deal with a few armed commoners, but when a fighter, a cleric, a rogue and a caster pop out of a wagon, well ... how does one avoid a grim fate?
Strip down in underwear and shank them with your..blades. Then when they're all aroused, you shank them with your blades.
Misdirectionhehand all that
>>49535594
Shut the fuck up and put all your money and valuables into the bag
>>49535594
Tell them you're only doing it because your Lord is taxing you to death.
As a rule, mate, don't kill the geese wot lay the eggs. Nor throw them a fuck. S'lot more boring, but you'll find people mind being fleeced less if they think you have some sort of code.
>Tenser's Floating Dicks
Magic Milisses
>>49535417
Would have gone with "Magic Molasses" personally.
Also: Cram Person.
>prestondickification
>turns target's dicks into prestons
OH SHIT NIGGER IT'S AN UNDERWATER COMBAT ENCOUNTER
HOW FUCKED IS YOUR PARTY?
>>49534396
>ship isn't properly kitted for use in water
>only partially outfitted for atmospheric travel
>no submarine pods, drones, etc available
>EVA suits are designed for the other kind of pressure issues
We don't take the contract unless it involves being supplied with underwater gear.
>>49534433
Get in the water Shinji
> Wear plate armor
> Need to breathe oxygen
> No access to any spells that solve those problems
I drown.
Should Unvidided get retconned? It pretty much serves no purpose anymore.
>>49533640
It serves plenty of purpose. It is a rallying call for those who wish to indulge in chaos for its own sake as opposed to for a specific reason.
>>49533741
If I wanted to do something for shits and giggles I would go Slaanesh.
>>49533813
What if your shits and giggles activities were evenly split between between new experiences and the glory of battle? Sure you could choose just Khorne or just Slaanesh but lets also say hygiene just isn't your thing and you enjoy magic. Why dedicate yourself solely to one of the ruinous powers when you're a cosmopolitan individual?
> I have never seen anyone play a gnome. A lot of dwarfs, a few halflings, some kobolds, but never a gnome.
> I have never seen anyone play any kind of drow, much less Drizzt clone.
> I have never fought an evil overlord type
>>49533536
>I have never seen anyone play a gnome. A lot of dwarfs, a few halflings, some kobolds, but never a gnome.
Thank whatever god you worship for that, anon.
Gnomes are a blight.
>>49533536
There's a gnome in our game. My character insists on calling him tiny grandpa
>>49533536
Casters>Martials in 3.PF, literally never.
Could Ciri be considered a planeswalker?
>>49533418
Is "planeswalker" a synonym for "used goods"?
>lesbian raped
>impregnated and aborted
>but won't fuck fake daddy
Shitfu/10
>>49535818
>lesbian raped
>impregnated
That's not how that works, anon.
I'm a beginner to chess, what would you more experienced players say is the best avenue for attack by white from this position?
Also chess discussion just in general is welcome ITT.
Book or website recommendations for a beginner would be appreciated as well.
>tfw I made this thread on /asp/ first but was driven out
At this point, it looks like it's too early in the game to worry about avenues of attack. You just want to further fortify your position. Your b2 pawn hanging; it looks like b3 would be a good move.
>>49533910
B2 isn't hanging, a pawn or piece is only hanging if there's something attacking it and nothing or insufficient material defending it.
>>49533300
That being said, I also agree it's premature to attack. You've got to do something about h4, as his next likely step is to lay siege to the pawn. You could push g3 to protect it, but that makes your dark square bishop an expensive pawn.
Haven't analyzed the position, but my gut instinct is that you should be playing Rb1-b4-c5 to try to open up that long diagonal your bishop is on, get some play out of it. But it's a long way from where you are to any sort of decisive advantage, if it can be attained at all.
>Book or website recommendations for a beginner would be appreciated as well.
I've always found the 1953 Zurich book to be extraordinarily helpful for beginners.
D4-D5?
So roll20 just lost its agreement with soundcloud. Anyone know of another good way of playing music or sounds to an online group?
lmao just youtube link it
>>49533207
>"You enter the room, slowly. The air is musty, the furniture covered with a thick layer of dust. Cobwebs fill the air, and.... Hey guys quickly follow this youtube link for me."
>"Why is this called creepy ghost fight music?"
>"Just follow the link."
>"Its not working for me."
>"Really? I'll try and find you another one, hold up."
I mean I could do it your way but I reckon it might suck
>>49533163
anyone know any programs that would allow me to stream music through skype or discord?
What are some little touches your dm does to improve your immersion/game experience?
He doesn't make me use coasters because they are not historically accurate. Host hates it.
My first DM, she had us play in her bed. It was really big size, and she made a blanket and pillow den for us to play under the covers in pajamas and with stuffed animals. Then after we'd take a nap together in the bed.
It only worked though because at most there was only ever 3 of us, or sometimes just me and her.
We're playing star wars: edge of the empire, and before each session, he has one of the opening crawl things as a "the story so far" and to help us get in character
What are some fantasy books I can read which will cultivate my creativity and imagination some more, /tg/?
Books, puzzle games, pitch bibles, any source which can improve my idea roster.
>>49532830
Try anything by Tim Powers, the guy tends to have his stories end well for the hero, however the way he presents his take on magic in each book is pretty cool.
Examples included in On Stranger Tides, magic was largely based off of voodoo with it working beat overy the sea and the practitioners needed to never touch iron, resulting in their white gums
>>49532830
>On Stranger Tides
No thanks, I saw the film.
All of them. Better hurry up and get to work
