You're payed by an Oil Baron as security for their many pipe-lines and docks dedicated to the exportation of crude Oil.
What weapons would the men under your command use, and what uniforms/camouflage patterns would you supply them with?
What vehicles (Land, Sea, Air) would you allocate most of your funds towards procuring and maintaining, assuming you run a small-medium security operation?
Most importantly, what would you name yourselves, and what would be your mission statement?
Aks, rgs, FALs, pkms, sks and mosins the basic stuff
BTR 60S and BTR 40s, T55s and T72s, Pt boats, MiG 21s IL-76s and Mi-17s, also olive drab
And our name would be damage incorporated
Plain OD shirts and pants. Condor plate carriers with AR500 plates. Cheap boots. AKs. Toyota pickups with PKMs bolted to the roofs. Trained by desperately poor SADF veterans contracted out for the job. If you're in charge of this operation, you might as well give them the bare minimum needed to curbstomp local militias so you can net the largest profit you can and funnel it into offshore accounts.

I have an m1 carbine but the stock has been filled in with original wood. No place for oiler. I'm wondering what this is. Do I have a rare gun or what's the deal?
>>31078161
Who made the carbine? Might be a post war commercial stock
>>31078184
Inland made the guts and barrel. It's September 1944 made fun. Just the stock has been filled in with wood for some reason
Seems like a legit lightweight carry method for whatever on the go.
Definitely.

So I'm planning on getting a handgun for the first time and looking for anything under $700. I was thinking of getting an American Tactical Imports FXH-45 1911 but it looks like a meme gun trying to be a glock. What does /K recommend for a pistol that shoots .45 acp?
Rock Island Armory makes nice 1911s for half that.

Glock 21. You really don't want a 1911 for your first handgun.
I would like to build an AR-15 in 45 Winchester magnum for Ohio hunting. The 45 win mag is basically a beefed up 45 acp. Would a 450 bushmaster bolt be okay for this build?
this could also lead to making a nice home defense carbine with a 45 acp barrel
mcbump
Already run a Thompson which is 45acp, so this certainly has my attention.
You guys are leaking over again.

I originally came here from /tg. I like when these boards mix.

This. /tg/ and /k/ mix all the time. It's pretty awesome.

A surprising amount of crossover between the two.
What is your opinion on two-tone guns?
I like em'. Prefer the silver on top. Dunno why.

I'd say I like them.
My girlfriend told me if I put a fully-loaded mag with greentips under my pillow, the tooth fairy will come and bring me an entire AR. Is this true, /k/?
>>31077632
False. You have to put the greentips up your ass to get the new AR.
>>31077648
All 30
>>31077632
If you get rid of the GF you can afford an AR and keep your greentip
Why doesnt the government have PSA's that direct potential murderers to become soldiers?
Why is suicide squad real?
>>31077397
Because criminals make shit soldiers.
>>31077397
Murderers do not kill just for the sake of killing, they are usually trying to accomplish a specific goal. True psycopaths are probably already aware of the military.
>>31077465
Criminals just happened to get caught doing something stupid. If a branch is willing to accept them why not? Plenty of troops in the Korean & Vietnam conflicts were there because a judge gave them the option. I personally would choose service over prison any day.

Howdy partner. I happens t' be in the market fer some new hardware. Thinkin bout gettin me one of those six shootin' big irons, and maybe a lever gun t' match. Got any suggestions?
I just bought a Maxim gun and a bunch of footmen to carry it around for me.
Feels good to know I can buy one at a flea market and do whatever I want with it.

1851 Navy in .36 so you too can be Bill Hickok
I have a 25" section of .45 ACP barrel, so I thought that I should build something out of it. I have tried to find a magazine to build the gun around, but all of them are too expensive to deal with.
(Bolt in picture weighs 2.175 lbs naked. The second version may use more AR-15 parts)
Any ideas? Suggestions?
Keep in mind that I'm just starting college - I have limited tools and I'm not 100% with Inventor.
I might add a plunger ejector to avoid cutting the ejector slot. Drilling holes is easier than milling slots.
sounds cool, I'm planning on building "modernized" Sten.
welding a picatinny rail on top, changing it from horizontal feed to vertical, depending on if I can find a decent amount of relatively cheap 33 round glock mags I'll be fabricating a new mag well and if I'm feeling ambitious at the end I may try and figure out how to turn the rifle stock into a side folder (not really necessary but it may prove challenging).
>>31078664
was also contemplating the plunger ejector too just to simply production and maintenance down the road
>Be me
>Be anti-gun
>Be from anti-gun family
>As I grow up become more pro-gun
>Move out, eventually decide I'd like a gun to take to the range and try hunting with.
>Tell my father, is very anti-gun
>Asks me why I want one, points out the possible dangers etc.
>Say honestly I just want it to shoot, I find it fun and as a legal adult I can spend my money as I like
>"Fair point anon, sure, what're you thinking of getting?"
Now he keeps sending me gunbroker links to stuff I want, still anti-gun but accepts that I just like different stuff, we don't argue about it.
So /k/ got any nice anti-gun stories?
Get out

Your dad is actually pro gun and has been pussified by your mom.
/k/ I inherited a Ruger .44 Super Blackhawk. Over the years my family has bought me ammo for it. They weren't too familiar with the proper ammo, so I have a few boxes of W-W Super .44 REM MAGs, CBC REM MAGs, and FC REM MAGs.
Can these be safely fired?
I don't wanna ruin my only inheritance from my grandpa. Yes I know that standard .44 REM MAGs can be safely fired.
>>31077052
getting the wrong ammo, you should trying asking for .300 savage. Ive gotten everything from 30-06 to .300 blackout.
>>31077095
So can I use them or not? I have plenty of standard .44 REM Mags.
>>31077095
Don't listen to this shit.
Yes, OP, you're safe firing that ammo. You're also safe firing 44 SPL (44 special) ammo. 44 SPL is the same caliber but isn't as powerful as the 44 magnum.
The CBC and FC are the different ammo manufacturers. Honestly, OP, I would throw away all of that CBC ammo. It is more commonly known as Magtech. Google Magtech ammo and you will find a lot of it is made in Brazil which is total shit tier.
The FC means Federal Cartridge Company and that shit is just fine.

Is it safe to keep a loaded glock in a nylon holster like this? Is holstering it potentially dangerous
>>31076802
Being within a 10 foot radius of a glock is dangerous, they can't hit shit beyond that so you should be safe.
>>31076802
Nylon holsters a shit. Get yourself a kydex or injection molded holster and be done with it.
>>31077088
I am going to but I got a nylon one for free so I thought I might use it for now
