What can I do with a vest like this?
Lose enough weight to wear it.

You can hold a lot of skittles.
What kind of shotgun should i get?
>>31072605

Gen 2 and 2.5 are good guns. Just don't short shuck them and make sure you know where your off hand is.

This is how every maker should package a handgun, seriously look at this shit
Also, three magazines!
So I'm wondering what I should pick up before the election. Ammo is already on my list as well as a G19.
I'm going to post my collection/arsenal and let you fellow /k/ommandos suggest what I get next.
First up is my bolt action guns.
From left to right:
> Mosin nagant 91/30
> Mosin nagant t53
> SMLE no1 mk3
> yugo mauser m24/47
> sporterized .30-40 krag
> marlin model 55 12 gauge
bolt gun not pictured
> smle no5 mk1
>>31072541
Next up is lever actions:
Top > marlin model 1895 in .45-70
Bottom> rossi ranch hand in .357
Consider some sort of modern rifle. Milsurp is fun, but it isn't really worth stockpiling for election season, or for SHTF if youre into that
You can build a decent AR for $500 or so. If you've got some extra money to spend and are more into battle rifles, get a PTR
>>31072570
Next is my semi autos. This includes my one pistol as of right now because I didn't want it to be lonely.
Top to bottom:
> colt m4 .556
> cz75d pcr
> cn romarm sa/cugir
>"ghost" sks
That's everything. Thinking about getting a Daniel defense AR, but then I was thinking that I could get two cheap AR ' S for around the same price.
Let me know what you guys think.
I saw pic related in another thread and it got me thinking. Would it be possible to miniaturize some anti tank gun like the PaK 40 to that size with working shell ejection and all?
It could be done, but I don't know of any markets for that.

What the fuck am I looking at?

Hi /k/.
I'm relatively new to firearms and am looking to finish my arsenal. I'm not hugely into guns and wouldn't even consider myself a gun hobbyist; just collecting as a just-in-case-north-korea-invades-and-takes-down-the-grid
I've got a Ruger 10/22 target practice/small game, Ruger Precision for long-range sniping, and Mossberg 590 for home defense/ close quarters.
What's missing is a semi-auto rifle for open combat. I would obviously like an AR-15, but I live in NY state, so that's not an option. Whenever I hear gun control discussions, I hear things like "assault rifle doesn't mean anything, an AR-15 is no more or less deadly than any other semi auto of the same caliber"
What exactly are the options though, for a semi-auto of the same caliber? What are my options for semi-automatic .223 rifle without a pistol grip, adjustable stock, threaded barrel, flash hider?
>>31072091
An assault rifle is a rifle with selective-fire capability. A semi auto AR-15 is not an assault rifle.
Maybe you're thinking of the retarded term "assault weapon".
A Ruger Mini 14, or NY compliant AR-15. There's multiple models of the latter.
>>31072091
You've got a few options. The seven round mag limit was struck down, so you can at least have 10 round magazines.
For another AR compatible rifle, there's the Aries SCR. It accepts AR mags and AR-15 uppers using it's own bolt carrier group. You can also put a Remington 1100 wood stock on it to make it look less skurry. Being able to accept standard AR-15 uppers gives you a wide selection of caliber and configurations to play with.
>>31072187
The Ruger Mini 14 is an option. It's a more traditional design that uses a simplified Garand action. Older models aren't incredibly accurate, but the new ones are pretty good. One downside of the Mini 14 is that it uses proprietary magazines instead of standard AR mags.
i want to learn how to be a sneaky bastard
Teach me how to effectively stalk, /k/.
>>31072082
1. Wind direction ALWAYS know it.
2. Move in sync with your environment
Use wind noise to cover movement.
3.Break up your outline as much as possible. Match camo to environment.
4.Move slowly and without pattern.
5.listen for movement/bird/squirrel chatter.
6.if moving across water move quickly you can't move stealthy across a stream so don't.
7.Game trails. The best locations for stalking trails are as follows.
Entrance from/to open fields.
Across streams
To water/salt licks
To shelter.
To rubbing trees.
wear cats for shoes
>>31072082
get an erection whenever it is rainy or stormy, this is run around like a spaz and don't get noticed time. Make the most of it
This is a thread for AK/AR owners to make fun of each others toes, whatchu got
>>31072071
>ARs can't even be reliably used to operate in -40C conditions
>Can't even kickstart if the bolt carrier freezes shut
>have to break your fingers trying to mortar it instead
>probably can't even run dry if you haven't got unfreezing lubricant
>>31072088
What is this? Is this true? What is -40c in normal people temp, like -100? Does it even get that cold anywhere?
>>31072143
Celsius is normal people temp. -40c simply -40 fahrenheit and yes it does get colder than that.
Post some of yer fav 556 boolits
>No flechette round... Ever...
>Not from a rifle anyway.

ikr? flechette 556 would be so sexy
M995 master race coming through.
Makes the ATF shit themselves.
About 45 minutes from sealing the deal on a used Mossberg 500 Persuader. Wants $250 for it.
Any good reason to hold back buying this particular shotgun?
Nope, that's a fine shotgun and a fine deal.
Pick up a stock for it though. No, don't do the raptor grip non NFA. They're retarded.
>>31071891
Buy it if it isn't rusty. Throw a stock on it and be done
>>31071912
Don't listen to this guy. Get the raptor grip and saw that bitch as short as you legally can. I got one and it's tons of fun.
Infographic thread
Post 'em if ya got 'em
>as a personal request, anyone got infographics about operating crew served weapons ie; HMG's or mortars
>start with the worst infographic ever
>>31071764

Do you think that a reckless driving conviction could impact my ability to buy a firearm? Pic related as I am in Virginia.
>>31071499
I'm not even going to answer this question because it's so fucking stupid. Just use fucking Google
>>31071499
how reckless?
>>31071516
Why do that when I can have strangers on a Congolese tantric yoga board insult my intelligence?
Is it acceptable to shoot someone if they charge at you with a weapon after years of death threats?
>>31071363
Death threats from you to them?
Sure. Make sure you can prove everything beyond reasonable doubt though.
>>31071363
Yes, unless you incited the violence by shooting at them first or threatened enough violence that they are given good reason to do so.
Why wasn't there any orbital nuclear strike platforms? Why were they banned?
>>31071327
The threat of Kessler syndrome outweighs the minimal benefits gained from it. ICBMs can do the job cheaper and easier.
>>31071327
>ICBMs can do the job cheaper and easier.
this
>>31071327
Airforce was furious about amount of money spent on space and they fucked everything up with their lobby.
What does /k/ think of kill sats/orbital weapons?
it'll probably do the most HP damage to units
>>31071202
Would it be legal for civilians to own one?
NASA actually investigated them and concluded that they'd have about the same energy per weight on impact as conventional explosives, at about a million times the cost.
