I have a 25" section of .45 ACP barrel, so I thought that I should build something out of it. I have tried to find a magazine to build the gun around, but all of them are too expensive to deal with.
(Bolt in picture weighs 2.175 lbs naked. The second version may use more AR-15 parts)
Any ideas? Suggestions?
Keep in mind that I'm just starting college - I have limited tools and I'm not 100% with Inventor.
I might add a plunger ejector to avoid cutting the ejector slot. Drilling holes is easier than milling slots.
sounds cool, I'm planning on building "modernized" Sten.
welding a picatinny rail on top, changing it from horizontal feed to vertical, depending on if I can find a decent amount of relatively cheap 33 round glock mags I'll be fabricating a new mag well and if I'm feeling ambitious at the end I may try and figure out how to turn the rifle stock into a side folder (not really necessary but it may prove challenging).

was also contemplating the plunger ejector too just to simply production and maintenance down the road

Not sure if sacrilege or glorious but I have an erection like a east coast lighthouse either way.

Build something Thompson inspired, but give it your own personal twist/ flair if you want to go full custom.

You can get kits with vertical mag feeds
It varies between the different mks.

Obx fag here, are people everywhere obsessed with our queer lighthouses?

It looks like you used a ball mill to cut the slots, you do know they used a horizontal mill to do it, right?

I'm still a novice when it comes to machining, but I have access to a mill and a lathe.
I'm going to simplify the design soon
