I am thinking about getting into skeet shooting and I need a over-under shotgun.
am thinking about pic related
>>31068125
Thats an expensive endeavor you've chosen friend.
Can't go wrong with a Benelli, Beretta, or Browning.
Personally I prefer to buy a more affordable one or a used one. Stoeger makes a few Over/Unders worth looking at.
The shotgun don't matter as long as its a sporting over/under.
I have the cheapest skeet shotgun (Baikal mp27 sporting) and im wrecking everyone with Perazzis or Berettas.
Take time to set up the right chokes whatever shotgun you chose to buy.

I own Franchi Diamond and it's great. I've yet to see a sub-$1k o/u with a better lock up. The only issue I've had was that auto-safe made opening the action a bit stiff, but removing it literally took 3 mins.
Why does pierre sprey think the F16 is the best jet ever made?

Because he had a role in it.

Because he's a luddite with a closed mind; he's been raving on about making aircraft as light and agile as possible at the expense of all else since the 1960s. Today he probably just has dementia.

QLD DRAFT OF NEW FIREARM LAWS JUST RELEASED
WE ARE GETTING FUCKED HARD.
5 rnd mag cap if detachable/ 10 rnd if fixed NO EXEMPTIONS (goodbye enfield)
All lever/pump action rifles/shotguns on Cat C (for farmers only)
All semi automatic handguns (not DA revolvers though) Banned from sporting use if over .22lr
Airsoft still banned.
Paintball still classed as a gun.
AMMO REGISTRATION (can only buy ammo for firearms you own/purchase recorded and send in to police.)
Military appearance laws still in there and now have a checklist. (have a bayonet lug? bayonets are for the army! Banned!)
Rifles over .308 are banned.
Certain knives are to be banned by name as the police have just been given that power too, along with Firearms licenses becoming MAY ISSUE instead of SHALL ISSUE.
The only thing worse than a retard is a retard with power. Fuck people who make laws about things they don't understand.
>>31068062
so you can buy ammo right now without a license or gun?
>>31068150
Need to show license to buy now.
Krogg trade three bear pelts for club. Cave-mate says it look too scary and no one needs stone for hunting.

Nice airsoft. Did yeah pick that up from Canadian Tire?
Let's say I own a gun store and a literal neo-Nazi white supremacist comes in, wearing swatstika patches on his clothes and other shit like that, and asks to buy a gun from me.
Would it be OK for me to refuse service to him on the grounds that I don't feel comfortable selling him the weapon?
At this point, he hasn't said what he will use the gun for yet.
>>31067810
Part 2: Assume he says that the gun is for the "upcoming race war".
Is it more "justified" to refuse service now?
>>31067810
Yes.

You're the proprietor of private property, you can tell people to GTFO for any non-retarded reason or no reason at all as long as it's not because of race, religion, or sex.
Has anyone here actually fired a STEN? Thinking about making my own (I'm a welder so I'm not new to metalworking) but I've never actually held one hands on before. Does it handle as awkward as it looks? I honestly can't imagine it would be comfortable to use both a rifle grip and a side-loading magazine.
I built one with very little metalworking knowledge if that says anything. Also yes they are comfortable to hold and pretty fun to shoot. Use Apex gun parts for the kit, Indianapolis ordnance for semi auto bolt (unless you want to mill your own) and the new semi auto tube
>>31067849
where's the center of mass? Is it wherever the bolt is, or off center due to the side mag?
It's pretty much where the bolt is, but due to the tubular design the weight of the mag causes it to tip to the side. Granted however, that is counteracted by the way you grip it. The mag sits on your arm if you angle your forearm out just a bit. You can also get tubes that allow you to mount the magazine well vertically instead of horizontally
Best /k/ youtubers.

I really don't understand all the butthurt surrounding Ian and Karl's mud tests, especially with the AKfags. Yea, it didn't work semiautomatically. Big surprise. It's covered in mud. But it did still function as a straight-pull bolt action rifle so it's not like Karl was completely "out of the fight". It still functioned just not as fully intended.
In the end the AR outperformed the AK. But if mud *did* get into the AR you would definitely have to open it up, dump the internals, and wash them down to get it working. With the AK you just have to use some percussive maintenance.
But no, people decide to nitpick and bitch that it was a setup
>b-but it's a Romanian AK parts kit not true Russian kit!
>the mud is American not European!
>steel ammo not true Russian brass!
Just accept it, the AK ultra reliability myth is just that. A myth. No need to get so angry over the truth. ARfags won this battle.
Now even FALfags are getting booty bothered because the FAL failed and showed the downside of having a non-reciprocating bolt.
I would like to see InRange do sand tests as well as the mud tests. Maybe some guns would do much better in those and others do worse.
>>31067530
I remember they did some sand tests a while back with the MAS-46 and some other rifles.

Alright bros I've been hearing that bore snakes don't clean better than cleaning rods. What do you guys think?
I use a bore snake pretty much exclusively for the past two years and have had no problems. But I hear a lot of people saying I should use a cleaning rod to deep clean the bore very 6 months.
Which one is better?
>>31067281
you want both
boresnakes are fine for light fouling and low round counts but you need a brush for heavier work.
having a cleaning rod is a necessity for knocking out stuck empty cases
>>31067281
I don't understand how people think they can use just one device for cleaning a bore. When you use each attachment one after another you get it perfectly clean and you can check your progress. You also get cleaner, oil, carbon and shit all over a boresnake, making it pretty useless. If you need a new brush just get a new brush, but buying a whole new boresnake every few cleans is a huge waste.
>>31067281
>I use a bore snake pretty much exclusively for the past two years and have had no problems.
Please tell me you've washed the damn thing at least once.
Me, I made up my own little pull-through. One end's weighted, the other has a female thread which I can put brushes or a patch eyelet on.
Convenience of a boresnake while still using disposable patches.
How many mags is too many?
When you run out of room to properly store them.
When you can't afford to keep them all full after a long ass day of shooting.
No such thing as "too many" magazines
Went to the Titan 1 Missile Silo as a sort of stalker challenge with my best mate and gal pal, ask me anything.
First room, seemed like generator housing.
Entrance, at least the only available entrance. Someone welded the doors shut so we dug out the dirt and crawled inside. It also seemed like someone went around sabotaging ladders and stairways because they were sick of people coming inside the complex.
I brought my glock 19, my mate borrowed my sp101.

I'm looking to get a battle rifle, /k/, and I want to know everything you can tell me about reliability, accuracy, etc. about battle rifles such as the FAL and PTR-91, and their respective clone models (SA58, C308, etc.)
Which should I avoid? Best place to get magazines (I live in CA, can't have more than 10 rounds), good slings?
Help a /k/ommando out, please
The C308 is actually a CETME. PTR-91 is easily the best option for an HK91 clone. SA58 is pretty decent. G3 vs FAL pretty much comes down to preference. An AR-10 build isn't a bad option, but it's not exactly my cup of tea, and the VEPR .308 is actually a good rifle, except for the expensive mags and lack of modularity.
The PTR-91 is slightly more accurate than an FAL, both are reliable. FAL has less recoil from my experience. I don't really know about 10 rounders, but G3 mags are $3 a mag for 20 rounders.
>>31067010
>>31066997
So I'm thinking I probably want a PTR-91 then. What is the generally acceptable price to pay for one of these?
I don't understand why America doesnt dominate in skeet shooting in the Olympics. How could a country that has so many shooting ranges, more access to guns, and more disposable income than any country in the world still lose to Europeans
Obviously I'm aware we medal every once in a whIle, but shouldn't it be like basket ball where theres practically no competition
