What do you guys think about the Ruger LCR in 327 magnum?
It is about the smallest and lightest serious revolver there is, it holds 6 rounds, and has loadings that approximate a weak-mid 357mag while having much less recoil. Also you can use .32 H&R Magnum, .32 S&W Long, .32 S&W (short), and even 32 ACP, yes an automatic cartdiges fires out of a revolver in this case (no pun intended).
You are basically getting the classic pocketable 38 snubnose package but 6 rounds instead of 5, and with available rounds approximating a hot 9mm or week 357 instead of an anemic 38spc out of a snubnose and without the added weight and size of 357 snubnose revolvers.
The only downside is how availble 327federal is (and all the parent cartdges) but with ordering from the internet or whatever that shouldn't relistically be a problem. Everyone knows in a SHTF situation anyways you're likely only going to have access to the ammo you have already bought and stored.
It would just suck if the cartridge "died" which in all honesty there's already a strong chance of, offerings are sporadic at best, but you can always reload and 32 H&R Magnum will always be available.
I like the LCR in 38 just as well to be honest, especially with the new fuller grip and 3" barrel.

I like it, one of my favorite revolver cartridges, if I were to get an SP101 or LCR it'd probably be in .327 Federal Magnum. I like .357 Magnum but in smaller guns you lose that extra round.
It's cheap to practice with and smaller .32's don't recoil for shit. Buy a few boxes of a good defensive load and some .327 Federal range ammo then just get S&W longs or something if you're worried about availability.
I have one in just 38 special, its light but that comes with very snappy recoil. I can't even imagine what 357 feels like. It is surprisingly accurate, but I wish mine had the exposed hammer
>>31088427
Mine is a .38 special and she is a wild beast. With her I can drive nails, but I'll feel it after a day at the range. Especially with +P ammo. Good luck with 357.

LCRx is gorgeous with the hammer. Trade up if you can. The longer barrel version of the LCRx is cool too, but I really love how light this little gun is.
Looking to get a chest rig that works for or is made for ak mags. Never looked into it until now so kinda flying blind. Any suggestions? If at all possible something that would match with flecktarn. Pic is the first Google image for chest rig.
>>31088420
Haven't got it yet but I bought this:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/RARE-Armija-BIH-chest-rig-AK-47-assault-vest-Bosnian-Muslim-Army-Bosnian-war-/151793684052
Its OD so it should be fine with flecktarn.
>>31088420
What kind of AK? If it uses 5.45x39 then the mags should fit in pouches designed for 5.56 NATO mags.

Try a gear queer thread they are your best chance of getting info, but just for my opinion https://www.amazon.com/Surplus-Chinese-Chest-Pouch-Green/dp/B00GMO8ZZA/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1472012178&sr=8-4&keywords=chinese+chest+rig

Are stockless shotguns a meme?

Any competition fags on?
I have my AR and Pistol (glock 34) already now im looking for a shotgun
it seems to me that best *budget* level semi auto shotgun for 3 gun is the Stoeger M3K. Id have to obviously throw a mag tube extention on it but the inertia system seems pretty dank. I noticed the mossberg JM pro already comes with an extended tube for around the same price, when faced with the two which would you pick?
What about the Vepr 12? would it be faster just to quad load on the move then to wait for your mag to run dry for your mag change? The vepr is like 100 more than both of the other options and it has that tactifag aesthetic for other applications but does it make a good competition shotgun?
also have a qt lena
pls i know theres 1 of you on

Two questions pertaining to the military.
First, when joining the military, how much do previous skills determine your position, rank etc.?
I mean aside from, for example, already being an MD or a linguist. Say you are fluent in one or two other languages, or you have had a lot of experience with martial arts, etc.?
Second, how is it decided who works with dogs? Obviously they have to be specialized with it, just curious how a person gets that and how they get attached to units.
I was actually just thinking of hand to hand combat in the military. Like what kinds of advanced courses they have.

Very, very little unless it's actual college credits. Army has a program for it though where if you have a very specific set of skills they decided are in rare supply you can get in as an E4 but that's the absolute best you'll get unless your MOS itself comes with an instant promotion.
>Second, how is it decided who works with dogs? Obviously they have to be specialized with it, just curious how a person gets that and how they get attached to units.
You find the MOS, sign up for it and hope you make the cut.

Rank is based off of kill count. Just like in Call of Duty.
Could /k/ommandos scrape together enough money / do a hostile takeover of a small island nation, make a fort there, and make it our homeland?
Maybe Madagascar? Samoa? Something noone would care if it went missing. Form our own government based on freedom and defending our right to bear arms.
How hard would this be? Could /K/ create their own country?
Does anyone have the comic where this happens to Sealand?

Ok here is the situation, I have a 5x 3900uF 400v capacitors giving me about 1974.375 Joules of energy. but my efficiency is somewhere around ~3-4% conversion. I think i have basic functionality sorted but need some help designing the feed mechanism. Anything would be greatly appreciated.

A bolt made of nonconductive nonferrous material with a decent thermal profile. A dart should load into the bolt, the trigger depression should engage forward placing the dart into the contact/firing position with the rails/magnet coil, trigger release should return the bolt home and allow a new dart to load
>>31087533
the problem with an open rail design with the size bank im using is that if i feed the projectile into the rails at less than ~50 ft/s it gets welded in between the two rails.
