how old are you?
I want to write a story where Suicide is a prime motivation for my main character.
Without revealing too much... In the very start of the story my character commits suicide, but after surviving, it decides to help others.
The problem is that being a normie that never ever got any close to seriously pondering suicide i can't wrap my head around the actual feelings people go through people in that state of desperation.
This isn't my first attempt of educating myself in the matter. I tried for about two years, researching about this topic. Forcing myself into depression, reading through sucide help blogs, actually pretending to be a sucidal person and asking for help from others in the vain hope of just get close to understading...
This is the first time i'm coming out of my closet to reveal anonymously that i don't know what the hell i'm doing and asking for help.
Any tips? Guidance? I'm listening.

How about, no?
Is that good. Good.
Come back when you actually have something to say. Sissy.

/ic/, when doing a project or something generally ambitious that'll take up a lot of time, how do you keep going at it without drifting off? Does the drive for it come naturally? When i do these things, i tend to give up after hitting a few major roadblocks.
How do you persevere when the going gets tough and there is no light at the end of the tunnel?
And i want to clarify that this is not about learning or fundamentals. I'm asking about the long term mindset when working on projects.
If you have any advice or experiences, please share.

I find it good to have 2 projects at the moment. When you're feeling burned out in one, you work on the other. And just alternate between the 2. When you feel burned from both, that would be a good time to do studies.

I kind of don't like where Microsoft is headed as a company but I'm already up Google's urethra so deep that I'd just be a hypocrite if I took the moral high road with GNU/Linux
Does Huion even make tablet drivers for linux?

No company makes drivers for linux
Linux is just a meme and only good if you're a programmer.
Macs maybe shit but they're better than linux for the work we do here.

Enjoy.
Can you guys recommend a good resource for anatomy? I seemingly can't find anything. I've tried proko, vilppu, and I can't seemingly find anything.
Everything is always too blurry, can't understand shit, etc. Even in books.
Michael Hampton. Breaks body shapes down into simple, easy to understand shapes, and it's in full color, so there's no trying to distinguish different shades of gray from each other.

Because we should not have to make new threads or post in draw threads with our fundamental exercises.
Feel free to post even the smallest exercise you have done to show you are still trying, do not give up, make your mom proud.
AVOID asking unrelated questions, there is a question thread for that.
RESIZE YOUR IMAGES TO ~1000 PIXELS:
#1)
>screenshot the image and post that instead (also images shouldn't come out accidentally sideways with this method)
#2)
>change camera capture settings to something smaller
#3)
>send to computer and resize in MSPaint

There's a new sticky in town! You can see it at:

>Thread study: Try to draw/paint the opening or any other following images.
Feel free to post your original works as well if you're trash.
TRY TO BE MORE ACTIVE AND GIVE PEOPLE SOME FEEDBACK - many studies are left unreplied, which is a bit sad and can be quite demotivating for the people that try their best to improve, but are left directionless.

All art will be uploaded online and you have the option to have the physical piece sent to you as well for an additional $3 for shipping costs. Thank you.

So I've read Burne Hogarth's book, now I want to do some studies of actual clothing on people.
Can't get a girl to model for me cause I'm broke, so does anyone have any good resources for doing clothing wrinkles/folds/drapery studies?
I'm mostly interested in pictures of females but I'll take male too.

When people ask me to show them my work, this is all I have to flash them.
Your problem is that you're asking for people who think they're good enough. That just doesn't work.

nice idea
bad execution
and bad photo of it too
My friend got a customer who wanted a painting on his master bedrooms wall. There's a flower pattern on his wallpaper and the customer said he want's to "set it on fire!". And so he did, see pic. Now my friend said he's in deep shit because the wall and the painting ofc, looks like shit. He asked for a critique and I'm not sure what to say. Smoke and the flames looks okay. Smoke needs some highlights and the flames needs some work on colors. Flowers looks like shit, but the red/purple is okay I guess. I'm not a traditional painter myself so I'm not sure what else I could say.
Painting is still in progress, so there will be some changes and I'm hoping he's getting paid for it. Any thoughts /ic/?
Another picture of the wall.
Honestly I think the customers idea was corny as fuck! I'm not sure if I could do something as corny as this. How do you tell the customer that his idea isn't a good one? General discussion about bad ideas of customers.
>>2635107
That smoke looks more like a rocky mountaintop. The fire should be way more violent an widespread.
The idea is pretty bad anyways

Should have made it look like Guy Fieri's T-shirt.
