>usually always
I say that because it's overwhelming the amount of people that scream in my face saying "art is not a career choice and you'll never make anything out of it, so stop wasting your time!". What do you think, /ic/?
but what about people who have made a career through art tho
and i don't mean """"""""""""art"""""""""""""
That's the entire history of the art vocation in one post, op.
Art is a career that a lot of people have been very successful in but it's not a safe and reliable career choice and I'm not saying that to make you feel like a hero I'm serious, it's not a clever idea to pursue with no fallback.
The art world is very competitive, a lot of work is outsourced to Korea, you'll be drawing hardcore for at least 5 years before even having a shot at getting an unpaid internship/working for some startup company.
Then you have to actually get yourself out there, it's a popularity contest so you're gonna be investing a lot of your time into marketing yourself, less time drawing.
And on top of everything by the time you do get a job now you're just drawing what someone else wants. Do you really want to spend all that time and effort to draw some more half ass spacemarines or some indie devs Undertale rip off?
I say don't go down that path, get a more reliable 9-5 job and do art on the side, it'll take significantly longer but you'll never end up on the streets with 100k debt.
Also, having that income from a non art job will free your mind from thinking you need to do what makes money with art, you'll be able to draw what you truly enjoy. Maybe one day people will enjoy looking at what you enjoy and you'll be able to sell that (say you made a comic or something). Maybe that will go further and you'll make enough money to quit your job and draw what you enjoy 100%
It's unlikely but that's what I think is a nicer route
There is the risky path of getting into the industry, drawing stuff you don't like. you could try to summon the energy to also draw what you enjoy on the side and with your connections to the industry you will be able to get them out there much easier, but be very aware that the odds are stacked against you and if you fail you will fail hard and may never draw again.
Personally I wish I had pursued the romantic path, the safe route is a boring life, the decision is yours, just know what you're getting into, don't walk blindly.
What color would that be considered?
The color of the nails. What would you guys say that is?

What do you think? Is it good?

Please make sure to resize images.
I don't know/use watercolor but overall the whole piece is desaturated. The lack of value range makes it look flat and there is no clear light source.

This but other than that the subject is clear and definetely not badly made.
Keep practising in other words, it's cool bit nothing spectacular
How do you find an Art Broker?
>>2632635

What is the best place to sell art or art collections quick?
Image somewhat related, as I am looking buyers for Spanish Colonial artwork like paintings, sculptures, and the like.
>>2631974
Quick is not the correct way to sell old artworks. Are you really broke and stupid enough to take a fraction of the value, or are these stolen? If this is the case, fucking ebay? Craigslist? (If stolen chances are very good you'll get caught)
Otherwise, just google art appraisers and secondary market dealers in your area. Eventually, someone will point you in the right direction and get the ball rolling to find collectors. You're gonna have to at least find people who know this market yourself.
I want to sell shirts with my design on them.
This is the first thing I've done.
Something is missing. Color?
I don't really know. Would you buy it?

I see you're trying to pull an andy warhol there, but the separate parts don't go together very well, I can't tell what it is just by looking from a distance. I'd suggest making the transition smoother, either by adding color, rotating it a bit or altering the style.

It got deleted, what was it?
Hey guys, i need your help finding pic related, I think it might be a sculpture but i don't know, I don't even know if it even is a sculpture but if you know anything about it that would be great.
This is album art for The Great Unwinding by Ulaan Passerine
Can art also be a product?
Or does simply being bought and sold devalue it or the term "art"?
>>2629022
Has always been. Artists have since the beginning of time sold their art. They wouldn't be able to live otherwise.
Your thoughts?
It looks cool and it's nice they realized the crystal onix concept was cool too
I just started making videos about a week ago and prior to a week ago I had never used any video editing software. I'm not trying to get famous off of these dumb videos or anything but I just enjoy making them in my spare time. Please give me some critique or tips on things I can do to improve my videos.
