How does it make you -feel-?
Ok guys, I have decided to un-plug my internet for a year starting thursday to focus on becoming a chinese render farm.
Question is, what do I study? Do I just do a bunch of still lifes/cast studies? I'm gonna be working 8-10 hours a day but I don't know how to fill them efficiently.
Any resourses that will help are appreciated!
Also chinese master race general
chinese have less imagination than the west, discuss

I kinda agree to some degree, but their designs are cooler and their stuff looks 10 times better than most westerners imo

Bring us your roughs, your storyboards, your pencil tests etc. Talk about industry, schools, the hopelessness of it all, how we all gonna make it etc.
If you're gonna post animation that isn't yours give source or state that it isn't yours.
Keep shitposting to a minimum. Don't feed the trolls.

Why does bartkira even exist. Its not even a clever concept. Why even spend so much time recreating Akira in Simpsons style what is even the point?

Be more specific.
Are you asking if we know artists that do crossover art? Or if we do crossover art?
Artists that focus on doing crossover art, or just part of their work?
Of one of those IP specifically on the opening picture?

kek, sounds like when I browse /fit/ and see people complaining about the gym rather than working out everyday.
Even the most shit gym has the tools and the weights for you to put effort and become a gigga nigga.
No gym (art school) will make you gains quickly.
Also, remember to workout faggots.
Gym memberships are cheaper.

I want to ask about visualization.
I have no trouble actually composing an image in my mind, even then transforming it, but I can't actually hold an image in my mind for long enough to draw it. It's kind of like the moment I start thinking about putting the image to page, it just kinda goes *poof* and vanishes. I'm just a hobbyist with no ambitions of ever being anything more, but this is so damn frustrating. Like when I say the image vanishes, it's just gone. I've only a vague sense of what it was, but no longer do I have any useful sense of what it was...like going from actually seeing the Mona Lisa to just "eh, a plainish woman with a kind of smile" (not implying anything I want to draw is on that level, just trying to express what's going on).
Are there any tricks to overcoming this? I'd be happy if I could hold onto something for long enough to even just do a stickfigure sketch...
Without symmetry, devote to something else.
favorite supplies? pic related, i can't find these pencils anywhere anymore and i've just been sketching with the nubs i have left. i know they're often used for correcting things, but they're so smooth on just about any paper. plus they're just comfortable to hold.
>>2630509
Aren't they just copy pencils? I use them for sketching sometimes, I like them too they are great for underdrawings. They sell them in every decent art store or stationery and in my experience they felt the same regardless of brand so I suggest you try different kinds.
Personally I love pic related. I like that they have some weight to them, are pretty sturdy and they're much cheaper than full metal mechanical pencils. I have .8,.5 and .35 and I have to say I love working with the .35 the most.
I really want to order one of those .2 mechanicals by pentel from china just to try it but they are a bit too expensive to justify such a purchase to myself. Especially since I have these rotrings that do pretty much everything I need.
Pic related is absolutely great for sketching.
I don't need any other pencil, because F pencils have a tone range of roughly 2H to 4B. Brand is absolutely based.
I have tried many brands, but Lyra is the best. I have a couple in reserve, a couple in my desk + always travel with one.
>>2630948
They are, but I've tried a few different brands and these are very smooth and the whole pencil is shaped like a triangle, it makes them nice to hold. I'll probably cave and just purchase some others, lol.
Those look really nice! I might give them a whirl, I've honestly never tried anything less than .5mm, might have to try .35.
I haven't tried the pencil in the pic, but I really want to. Came across it because I'm shallow and very fond of that shade of pink, but the reviews say it's really smooth and I like feeling like I'm gliding because I dig figure drawing and handlettering.
>>2630955
I feel like I've tried this brand before, or at least seen it. You guys are going to make me buy new supplies, oh no.

Meet the Residents, Eskimo, and Commercial Album are all better. God in Three Persons has better artwork.

It's upside down fyi... Pls tilt head...
I'll be honest.
Picasso was a fucking hack.
All his realists pieces were mediocre as fuck technique wise compared to old realists masters.
There's no evidence his teenager drawings and paintings were done without the supervision of his father.
You can clearly see when he was unsupervised by his father his realists skills were pretty mediocre.
fuck off
I'm planning on making a medieval miniature.
it seems /lit/ and /co/ has little interest.
would you guys be interested?
Do you think they can be popular again?
>>2634914
why do it to be popular? well yeah it could become popular if you do it as some popular thing fanart (overwatch probably, or maybe dark souls)
outside of that I don't think so. Draw to have fun not to be popular, a single drawing is not gonna take you out of poverty/ make you a popular artist.
>>2634956
I'm not planning on a single drawing, but more like a graphic novel.
>>2634957
oh like a series of drawings.
well I guess people would care more if it was fanart, no idea about oc
