change your tactics. don't repeat your mistakes over and over again and expect different results.
you don't need to stop with the vidya, but pace that shit.
what is it you want to do with art? what would you like to do in your future? what inspires you?
if you don't want to work in the arts field, then enjoy your ride.
and if you want to work in the arts field, then also enjoy your ride.
have fun dude

Pardon my ignorance, but what would be the difference between taking a program like "drawing and painting" and "illustration"?
>>2640822
Drawing and painting would probably be fine arts focused, so a lot of fundamentals. figure drawing, still lifes, landscapes.
Illustration would be teaching you things like compositional storytelling, character design, writing.
Both would assume you have fundamentals down already, but drawing and painting would further focus on them, and illustration would attempt to apply them.
>>2640822
also the picture you posted would probably be something done in an illustration class and not a drawing and painting class.
Might just be a difference in medium and format.
Charcoal and oil/aquarel/whatever on large paper or canvas vs ink and aquarel/markers on paper in smaller formats.
Hi folks,
One of my friends posted this photo that he put through some instagram filter. I know I've seen this style of art before, but I can't for the life of me remember who the artist is who uses this kind of style, or even what the name of the style is.
Anyone help me out here?

My queue is behind by about a year, I've never closed commissions and I keep taking them.
Problem is I really only work on recent commissions that I get money for NOW because I'm pretty broke. And I'd rather make money now then commissions that were already paid for. None of the older commissions that were paid for have emailed me and asked where their work is. So I keep ignoring them, I know it's morally wrong but if they aren't worried about their work should I even care anymore?
yeah you should care you retarded dipshit thief. If you don't take care of that asap its going to come back and bite you in the ass hard and you'll never recover from the vicious fucking your reputation will take. idiot.
If this is true youre a thief and a scumbag. If I knew who your older clients were of advise them to file theft on PayPal.
Keep ignoring until they ask, then if they do ask, offer to do two pictures as a way to say sorry about forgetting.
How many are you putting off?
Why do a lot of artists not give a fuck about drawing hands or feet correctly or at least good?
I don't know if this applies to everybody, but for me it's time consuming. That's why I charge less money on drawings that don't have hands or feet in frame.
>>2638339
Could you give an example of some artists similar to OP image that have good feet and hands?

Good digital art is needed for those in need of positivity or those who need inspiration. Post what helps you get through the day.
This one is a recent fav of mine, Infinite Power by Vyntresser. It helps me remember that I have more energy in me than I believe I do, motivating me to do more.

Hey guys, wondering if you had any tips on how to improve her, thanks.
The drawing and colouring looks horrendous.

This is her before the color application and second guesses. Thank you for the sticky.
You were a prodigy back then. Everywhere you go, you hear nothing but praises. From your mum, from your teacher, from just about anyone. Suddenly, You stopped drawing.
Time went by and for some reason, you've forgotten who you truly are, what you really wanted. Now you're here, in the twilight of your twenties. You take hold of a pencil and start drawing, with the intention of reigniting your long lost passion. The results were more than disappointing, they were soul crushing.
Though it's better late than never, you will always remember of the time you could've spent improving yourself to your full potential. You may become a good artist in the far future, but not as great as the man who has drawn his entire life and will be considered by everyone as an artistic master and genius of our time.
Work hard anon and do everything to improve your craft but always remember, You're just a compromise for someone who could've created pieces worth preserving in museums or showcasing in multimillion dollar art exhibits.
Tell us your story anon.

weird and unusual reference thread?
Why is doing art so tormenting?
Does the process ever gets easier?
Yes and no. It all depends on how much time and work you are willing to put to your work.
You get better at the stuff you're currently bad at, but I don't think I'm alone in saying that even if you reach a point you'd have loved to be at a few years ago, you'll just want more.
So certain things get easier and more intuitive, but your goals generally outpace your ability.
I suggest you write down some concrete goals. When you reach them at least you'll get a sense of accomplishment, rather than sleepwalking through it all.
Learn your fundamentals and then you have the tools to paint anything you want. There's no getting around it. If you don't know where to begin study line>shape>perspective>form>gesture>construction>anatomy>light>color
That's the shortened version or go to Watt's Atelier and to catalog and look at the courses in order to get an idea of what you should be studying.
Where do I get reference to draw armour like this? I mean what culture do you think it was inspired from? Do you think it's just based completely on Amano's imagination?
>nb4 all anime art is shitty
I'm trying to make a character that's a satire of jrpg fantasy.
