Hey Guys
I'm trying to create a board game and I'm not such a great designer, I'm looking for someone to help me designing the pieces for the game.
the pieces are regular hexagons with 2,5cm side and I would want a a minimalist 2 colour design I'll leave an exemple of what I think is a good start on the art style I'm looking for.
I'll start with one of the pieces , a representation of a mantis , or just the scyths in black on green. please send me to right place if this is not the one
Wasting your time here if you don't want to pay, unless some charitable anon comes along.
Maybe try /r/ or /v/.

FAQ:
Something's broken, what do I do?
>The site is currently in the alpha phase of development and is being built around us as we compete so sometimes things go wrong. If you ever need any help send me a tweet @LavaFlake or shoot me an email [email protected].
What do we draw?
>Whatever you want. At this point there's no required topic so draw your heart out. Make sure you submit at least a half hour of work or you may get a low effort warning.
What's a low effort warning?
>The goal is to get people to draw every day by turning it into a competition. The low effort warning system is to prevent people from posting last minute, quick sketches when they're feeling lazy. If you receive a warning and it happens again within a month you'll be eliminated.
>This rule has been the cause of a lot of concern amongst newer artists so let me reiterate: this system is to police low effort content and has nothing to do with the quality of the work. New artists are more than welcome.
What happens if I'm eliminated?
>A new Last Artist Standing challenge starts every week. If you get eliminated then get it together and rejoin next week.
How can there be a new Last Artist Standing challenge every week?
>This is a way to let new artists join in and to allow re-entry for the eliminated. Every week a new challenge is started. If you joined on week 1 and make it to week 2 then your daily submission counts for both the first and second Last Artist Standing. If you get eliminated then you're eliminated from both challenges and you'll be able to rejoin next week.
Will I have an advantage if I join later in the week?
>The winner of a Last Artist Standing will be the artist with the longest streak. If you join on day 1 and last until day 85 then you'll have a streak of 85. If there's only one person left in the challenge when you're eliminated but they joined on Day 7 then they'll need to continue on for another week. If they're eliminated before then, you win.

Because I just want to be a craftsman, not an artiste. I'm no thinker, I'm no revolutionary. I just want to learn how to draw real life as it is.
If that's what resonates with you go for it.

It's nice. The colors are epic. I gotta say man, I like it, I like it a lot.
Attending undergraduate at a decent UC, yet I can't help feeling that there's nothing here for me. I heavily regret not being able to start earlier and go for the art school route. Thinking of dropping out since it eats too much of my time and energy, is there any way to pursue art in terms of schooling when I drop out
>fell for the UC meme
should have just gone to a community college, could have gotten an arts degree (a.s) and an transfer degree in something worthwhile at the same time, for way cheaper than a UC

Dropping out doesn't mean failure, but be ready because it's not easy.
I must have accidentally hit a button I shouldn't have, but I can no longer find the opacity slider in Clip Studio. Any tips for getting it back?
In the "Tool Property" Window, at the very bottom right corner, you'll see an icon with two wrenches. Click on it, and in the pop up window, under the header "Ink," check the empty box so that an "eye" icon appears.
If you can't find your Tool Property window because you're a retard, look at the title/menu bar (File, Edit, etc.) an enable it under Window. There you idiot.

got it, cheers

"This piece was originally meant as a gift for a good friend and family member, but we wanted to share it with you.
From Ben:
"I was going to buy [an Obama Poster], but although I like Shepard Fairey's version (you've seen it, trust me), the eyebrows seemed a bit too dark and the jaw too wide.It bugged me enough to make my own. And I knew if I was going to stand up to Shepard Fairey, I was going to have to a dang good job.
Shepard's influences are similar to my own (graffiti + skate + propaganda), but Shepard's work has a much darker feel.
I began by sketching out the highlights and shadows like I usually do. Often, in order to bring the gender differences to the forefront, I'll draw females and males differently. Males frequently have straighter, angular lines, and females will have smooth curves. I spent nearly two months on this piece off and on (in between a lot of other projects), and let the my mood guide me a whole lot more. Combining smooth and straight lines had an interesting effect, making a much more painterly feel.
The result is a piece that is much more layered and complicated than my usual work, and the muted tones allow me to pull out variations in his skin that Shepard wasn't able to achieve because of his 4-colour palette."

For some reason this feels like a bait thread, but I actually really like this piece.

How do you get your stuff into a Gallery? If i call them or whatever would they set up some sort of appointment to check out my stuff or is this not the way things work? How much could you reasonably make from them?
pic not related
>>2627282
depends on the gallery. some are willing to take a look at your portfolio if you schedule an appointment. some may hear you out if you just walk-in with examples of your work, but don't bank on it. others will reach out to you if they see your work somewhere else, so start getting work up around town even if you have to hit the coffee shops and libraries starting out.

As someone who's been in the same few galleries multiple times but been rejected from others it really depends. Some gallery owners have a specific style of art they're looking for, so it helps to research the gallery you want to get into. Some galleries take a higher percentage than others, and some owners will be stricter on deadlines for shows and will want previews and specifics before they'll let you in
Are there any noteable streamers who use SAI specifically?
