But you need loomis
Hey /ic/
Can someone help me figure out the style of 'art' I'm making? I don't know how to describe it or classify it. It's just some junk i throw together, but I would like to know if it's called something.
This is one of the things I make.
>Paris Hilton saying "That's hot" while someone grabs a hot dab nail
please add similar images to this thread if you got any
thanks for the thread :)
Any graffiti artists out there? can someone explain me how i'd go about making this with spray paint, i have acces to a giant wall but I don't know how I should do it properly. I've made this sketch so far.
>>2626416
your problem is learning how to draw, senpai.
>>2626416
You really need 2 threads?
Hello, Its my first time here
I've been painting for months now
And I'm having problem buying materials
since I don't earn with my art. (no one buys it)
what do you think about it?
the title of this one - Singularity part 2
it's shit, next.
daily reminder, don't waste money on art materials, you're gonna waste them, be poorer and still be shit
Mindset / Workflow - A
> Start a canvas with a structured, thoughful sketch
> Spend hours and hours, days, weeks on a piece, do long-ass elaborated works
> Care about the current project you work on, don't want to lose it
> Have an idea, an image in mind; try to lay it down on canvas
> Hit the canvas with thoughtful, slow, almost perfect, strokes
> Ctrl Z and erase every third strokes, work on multi layers, at least five
> Think that abstraction tends to ruin a piece
> Try to use as few brushes as possible, usually work with one or two
> Try to show good anatomy, values and perspective their work
Mindset / Workflow - B
> Start a canvas with a quick, rough sketch
> Spend 4 hours top on a piece, do "speedpaints"
> Don't care about your project, could dump it anytime
> Try to see an image, an idea through the smudge you put on canvas
> Hit the canvas with quick, random, yet, somewhat "stylish" strokes
> Rarely Ctrl Z or erase, work on few layers, often just one
> Think that abstraction is beauty in a piece
> Try to use as much brushes as possible, work with most, if not all of them
> Try to show good colors, designs and storytelling their work
> Which one relates to you the most ?
> Which way is the best way to learn, improve and git guud ?
How about work flow c
Spend all their time pontificating about inane shit instead of practicing or working for the sake of believing they are some sort of deep complex soul who thinks they see the world and art in a revolutionary way without realizing that different situations call for different work flows and most artists can do both when they are exposed to different mediums.
>randomly start painting shapes based on no sketches whatsoever
>play around until something interesting happens
>for 20+ hours try to make it work as a piece
What would it take to have a tattoo like this on your head?
A lot. Like a lot alot. Like I better never have to worry about money again a lot. Ever.
>>2624562
Tattoo artistfag here. OPs pic is bad at lettering. All that empty space between the letters tsk tsk look up Big Meas for a real lettering pro. If youre gonna get lettering ON YOUR FACE do your research first
Yes I've tattooed heads before. And nipples
Hello ic/! I'd like to present a challenge/game to you involving art! Sorry for sounding kind of lame but here are the rules/categories.
>>Rules
>>1. Trait
>>2. Gender
>>3. Weapon (anything)
>>Extras
>>4. Back-Story
>>5. Sidekick
>>6. Logic of Character's Existence.
>>Name are REALLY REALLY important.
Welp, here's an easy way to start up the thread. >>I suggest
1. Ask "what should I draw?"
2. Yourself or someone will use the following categories to help you on what to draw.
3. Read parts 1. and 2.
Well, guys let the games begin!
>>Also try to give a rather "detailed" art critique of peoples artwork, if you want.
>>2624495
This is kind of confusing.
>>2624495
go at the tower princes thread at learn from there how this kind of threads are made
Can anyone on here draw good graffiti styles? Have a request for some wild lettering.
The letters EUN would be good.
>>2624473
you're just gonna get shit on because:
a) you're asking for a request
b) everyone here is a whiteknight that thinks all graffiti is a crime
I do think there's some good graffiti but don't request shit please.
>>2624473
I can do that for you.
Just leave your email here. Also what is your budget?
any body have any tips for clean linework when using a wacom tablet? ive been using one for about 6 months but its not the same as paper
>>2623760
Draw fast and use light stabilization. It's fine if the lines aren't in tune with what you had sketched on the previous layer; as long as it fits it's fine.
>>2623763
Not OP, but can you go into further detail?
I'm looking for some reference or something else explaining/giving tips on how to ink fabric but in a more comicbook/illustation style.
I can find some things like that for a more realistic style but thats not what I want.
Check Gary Martin's book on inking
>>2622933
thanks, I 'm trying to find a pdf
i'm also bumping the thread because I don't know what to do
Tips and tutorials for coloring like this guy
render at a large resolution and then resize the image
>>2629976
How is that in any way related to pedophilia? Can you fuck off?
>>2629981
>getting this butthurt and defending a pedo
Looks like you've mastered step one. Time to move on to step two.
>When you realize your sketchbook ratio of female to male figure drawings skews female and your mom is going to think your a perv
>>2629906
Either a perv or a faggot. You don't actually want to be a faggot, do you op?
>>2629906
So?
>>2629910
>>2629915
I'm guessing neither of you live with your mothers so you're probably not up to date on the new legislation. It states that if a mother is under the suspicion that their son is a pervert then they have every right, despite the age of the son, to castrate them in order to stop them from further devolving into a rapist.
I don't know how well this will go but.
Post what you bring everyday on your art excursions. Keep in mind this is for posting materials and such, no one gives a shit what kind of mp3 player or wallet you have.
Op pic is not mine
This
>>2627661
op here, im actually interested in this. could you post some drawings youve done with it?
>>2627669
I only use it because its so convenient. I'd probably get nicer results with a sketchbook to be honest but i dont want that baggage. I take my phone with me everywhere so it works for me
i love a good dull carpenters pencil, whats your go-to, on-the-go, or at-home utensil to use
I actually never tried carpenter's pencils for drawing, I'll try it I actually have some in the garage.
I love using mechanical pencils on the go since I'm usually drawing on a smaller surface of a sketchbook so the thinner lines are great. Sometimes I take my brushpen(i have like (1 with pure ink and 2 or 3 others each with a different mixture of water and ink for shading) or felt tip fineliners and 2 or 3 copics for shading if I feel like using permanent mediums.
At home I really love using conte sticks. It's such a dynamic medium for gestures.
heaven.
