my first attempt at pixel art! It's supposed to be a slime-inspired lolita dress. I'm going to gifify it eventually to make it look like it's dripping. Any recommendations on making it better?
Maybe don't make a thread about it. just post it in a draw thread.
It looks like bloody mucus. Highly unfashionable.

THERE IS A GENERAL FOR THIS
>Read figure drawing by Michael Hampton
>Learning a lot really fast
>Progress to legs
>Book starts to feel like 2 big middle fingers from Hampton himself in comparison to his section on the chest, head, and arms
>It's never that clear cut ever again
>He's expecting me to know terminology despite the fact that he showcases gesture drawing as the first chapter in his book
>He totally removes every single helpful example and I have to resort to google to even get a glimpse of the muscle he's talking about and how it behaves
>Even tells people the fundamentals of drawing
What are some good books for learning anatomy aside from this? It was pretty good at first, but it feels rushed at critical points.
I might just be tripping on something he later reveals though, but I'm fairly certain I'll have to get more information on legs from another source immediately after I finish this book.

Get Peck's Atlas of Human Anatomy for the Artist. It's cheap and very thorough and scientific. It's worth copying out, but also worth as a reference book to check things.
>>2692440
I've already downloaded it to help me deal with the book I've been reading.
Is this a good, valid reference website for anatomy on top of that?
https://human.biodigital.com/index.html
I think in some regards Peck's Atlas will be good for me, but Biodigital will help whenever I have trouble visualizing a muscle.
>>2692428
yea I though that book was cancer
even from the beginning it just feels like every other course out there but he just wants to finish ASAP

Post your current drawing here and give constructive critique to others!
Please make sure your posted image is clear, DOWNSIZED TO AROUND 1000 PIXELS WIDE, ROTATED TO THE CORRECT ORIENTATION, and that any unused space is cropped.
If you want critique on a drawing from the previous thread, you can delete it there and repost in this one and then hug a kitten for good luck.

Client wanted a "beautiful apocalypse", I think that worked out. If she approves I'm going to adjust lighting, values and colors and call it done.
that op is drawn so well but the image is so retarded. like wtf is that girl doing XD
anyways i changed the composition for this one like someone suggested but made it more compartmentalized instead of flowing like he suggested. any crits on it?
On a scale of 1-10, how jelly and mad are you of kr0npr1nz now that he's made it in less time than you?
(USER WAS BANNED FOR THIS POST)

>made it in less time than you
Hasn't Kron been painting and drawing for a long fucking time now? I bet you the only people on this board who have been doing art as long as Kron are also working professionally at this point.
Shit bait, I give you 1/10.
I hope you enjoy the new rule faggot

HAHAHAHA
At last!
Hello /ic/ I'm thinking of getting a tattoo, and I have thought of a custom design.
I'm thinking of a dead tree with an eye in the middle. Surrounded by rays of sun coming out of it, sort of like the album cover of cosmogramma, and beneath the tree a simple band. I wouldn't mind a little details thrown in.
It's gonna be on my upper arm.
I suck at drawing so, Any tattoo artists willing help me out?
(pic related: my sketch of the idea)
That's the album cover.
Bumping with similar tattoos
Does anyone on /ic/ use Linux for digital painting?
>mac thread
>linux thread
>we're having threads about operating systems now
>>2689477
Im only curious
I guess even using GIMP or Krita counts.
Rules are simple
>roll this post
>get sorted
>request duel or take one
>draw yourself casting spells on opponent till one of you rolls doubles to win
>if win repeat
>dont stop until defeated or retired
SPELLS NOT DRAWN WERE NEVER CAST. Good luck, wizards

Does /ic/ listen to music while they do anatomical/generalized studies? Personally, I never do. It's always so distracting for me unless it's an instrumental, and even then, I feel it detracts from the information I should be memorizing.
I'm not certain though, but it certainly does make studying art more tolerable after a long day of work.
I like listening to podcasts while drawing, though if I'm reading something I prefer to have no sound at all.
>>2692354
When you say drawing, do you mean simply enjoying applying what you've studied, or do you mean in depth analyzation of the way a form/shape/texture works?
I know I can do better help me out!
I'm mainly looking for pointers.
Sorry if I broke the rules.
>>2692106
Next time take a photo under better lighting conditions, take it straight on instead of at an angle, crop the picture, resize the image to roughly 600x800, and post in an existing thread like the Draw Thread or Sketchbook Thread instead of making your own.
>>2692114
Thanks, I have never posted before.
Anything on the art or you can't see it?
>>2692117
The drawings look okay. The line quality is kinf od bad though, and it looks like you don't know how to draw heads or hands so are avoiding it. Don't neglect your weaknesses. The drapery isn't well understood either, you should get more reference on it if you don't already, and pay close attention to where it's being pulled tight and where it is slack, and why.
Are any of you looking for comissons? I tapped into a gold mine of shitty soundcloud rappers who love fucking shitty ass drawings. I charge them 10 dollars for a drawing that takes me like 1 minute and 50 for album covers. made 2k in the last month from this. Try it.
Great, now all of /ic/ are going to compete for them. How am I supposed to make money now?
>>2691116
>I charge them 10 dollars for a drawing that takes me like 1 minute and 50 for album covers
You're charging so little...what kind of quality are you giving them? I bet you could charge more.
>>2691116
yeah man, atleast charge around $10-25
ive always wanted to make Album covers after seeing the Gorillaz, littledragon etc still a shitty begginer though
Because we should not have to make new threads or post in draw threads with our fundamental exercises.
Feel free to post even the smallest exercise you have done to show you are still trying, do not give up, make your mom proud.
AVOID asking unrelated questions, there is a question thread for that.
RESIZE YOUR IMAGES TO ~1000 PIXELS:
#1)
>screenshot the image and post that instead (also images shouldn't come out accidentally sideways with this method)
#2)
>change camera capture settings to something smaller
#3)
>send to computer and resize in MSPaint

There's a new sticky in town! You can see it at:
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1VfDTpLLVl5bWUGWguswKpPFml533luI8-NBd1EGYHnA/edit
>Thread study: Try to draw/paint the opening or any other following images.
Feel free to post your original works as well if you're trash.
TRY TO BE MORE ACTIVE AND GIVE PEOPLE SOME FEEDBACK - many studies are left unreplied, which is a bit sad and can be quite demotivating for the people that try their best to improve, but are left directionless.

Anyone use a mac here and do digital art? What program do you use?
>gimp doesn't recognize my tablet and all lines are fucked up
>CSP has that annoying stabilizer feature even when you turn it down to the lowest setting
CSP can turn the stabilizer off. Right click on the scale thing and click whatever the option to use actual numbers is called, then set it to 0.
And I thought macs could run photoshop?
Either way, I like sketchbook, but it's geared towards illustration and not full blown painting.
>>2687640
>CSP can turn the stabilizer off. Right click on the scale thing and click whatever the option to use actual numbers is called, then set it to 0.
That's what I did, it's at 0. But my lines still lag behind. Maybe it's my computer not being able to keep up with the software in that case...
And I don't want to pay buckets for photoshop.
>>2687642
You can download CS2 for mac for free from adobe's website, you lazy nigger. Fucking google.
just post your pose pages. i want 10000000000 poses
ill dump all that i have>>2685052
ITT:
Post nice/inspiring artwork that has something in common with the last posted image.
Preferably make a reply, so that it's clear which post you are referring to and write down in which way your image posted is related to the one before.

Fun idea, I'll play. Here's an Ai Xuan, similarities should be pretty obvious without me having to type it out
>>2676719
AH! Thanks for posting this, I totally forgot about this artist
>>2676719
am I good enough to become like ZUN?
>>2692105
you're already better at art than him
start learning to program
nooooooooooooooooo don't be bad >>2692140
>>2692105
ZUN can color. Until you can color you're still below ZUN but you have potential. Also his style is very recognizable and yours just looks like it was grabbed off DA's image flood at random.
