How do you draw a head at different angles
You don't. You draw the head at the same angles, but it looks completely different if you drew that head at another angle.

by being good
By turning it idiot fuck,
Is there a faster way of painting detail without using photograph samples? Is it just an inevitable part of digital art that is required to take things to the next level in a reasonable amount of time?
How would a 'competent' artist recreate pic related in photoshop/krita with or without photo sampling and how long would it ideally take?
https://youtu.be/nVZtq-3EhL4
Gives a good example.
FZD in general has a ton of good videos that answer you question. He tells your his process most of the time. You can see he uses photo refs and there are ones from imagination and there are using both. Good channel to follow.

use brushes that give you free noise/contrast and try them out at different sizes. chalk sponge sketch, etc
>>2681813
There is no fast way to do a tight rendering. It's time consuming by definition.
Recreating that photo would probably take 50-100 hours.
hi, what are some great artists who do art stuff in the public space? im doing a research project about art in public spaces..

What's the secret to drawing an appealing head and face? Cartoons, anime, it doesn't matter.
I'm trying to break out of very simplistic cartoon faces into something better.
Symmetry. Simplicity.
Proportions and simmetry
Site. In other words, knowing where to properly place the facial features, and their relation to each other. Just guessing or having arbitrary placement causes an unpleasant look.
>Do construction work
>No thought required at all
>Feel like putting a bullet in my head
>Realize that my life will always be empty unless I'm creating something I care about
>Have decided to start practicing fundamentals 4 hours a day instead of 1
>Will probably continue to ramp it up
>Hate the emptiness of manual labor
>Probably can't attend college
I don't know if I'll ever make it, but I know if I don't try i'm as good as dead.
I'm 19, and I've got 6 years until my learning will slow down. I've realized I see no point in life if I'm not making things I want to. I would rather be in a grave.
I know I'm still a bad artist, but I hope to change that soon. Wish me luck /ic/

Never gonna make it, senpai.
>>2685870
You're only 19, you've got plenty of time, you're gonna make it, senpai.

dont forget to enjoy the process, im 18 and have been making steady progress since I was 16 and I doubt I would have gotten to the level im at if I hadnt made time to draw the things I enjoy to draw in between studies

old dead meme is old and dead
i think that whatever you see the instant you first look, is what your brain 'decides' on
so it's useless to say that one choice is 'correct' (exempting the fact that it's actually a blue and black dress)
>>2682528
The point is if you can't observe the fact that the background of the image is yellow and overexposed, and infer that the dress is also being cast yellow and overexposed, and is therefore in reality black and blue, you aren't good at observing colors objectively.
I want to post a book or two that I wrote somewhere online (I haven't decided where I want to post it to... Suggestions?) I just want to see if anyone would like it, but I'm scared that it might get stolen
..Is there any way to prevent people from taking credit for unpublished written work just like how you can put a watermark in pictures (like the one I have attached)?
https://www.booksie.com/
Here's their page about copyright:
https://www.booksie.com/member/guide/copyright-policy
No matter what, if you put it out on the internet, that does open you up to others stealing your work. This goes for writing, drawing, music, etc. You put it out there, someone may take it. You can claim copyright to your work if you see someone else taking credit for it, sending a cease and desist, reporting them to their host website, taking them to court if necessary. But taking those actions are entirely up to you.
>>2685988
No. It's text. You can make it more difficult for people to steal it by say, making it an image rather than plain text, but there are loads of programs out there that can pull text off of images, or if someone is really dedicated, just transcribe it back into plain text.
Even if you published pure audio of it someone could just transcribe it.
If you're THAT paranoid of your ORIGINALCONTENTDONOTSTEAL, either get a publisher who will fight to defend the copyright, or be prepared to fight it yourself (read up on copyright laws, prepare a formal cease and desist etc.)

The skelly thing Proko shills.
Wot is it and can it make me become a git good.
Yes, it's just a meme that holds down other people, so you have less competition and therefore can feel better about yourself for being above them.
Basically it gets harder to create new neural pathways as you grow old, which in turn makes it harder gitting gud

It is said that 25 is the cut-off age and after 25 you begin to rapidly sufficient plasticity needed to gather your thoughts and retain information. By age 30 you are done for; locked into stagnation. Some helpful sources to look for are chinese studies and a point of reference like sycra.
Yeah I have working in this for 30 minutes and I am starting at this so... any suggestions?

Looking for a digital artist who takes commissions. Don't have much, but willing to pay. Please provide samples of your work.
My work
>>2683767
You should probably give an idea of what your budget is in concrete numbers as well as what type of work you are looking to commission.
Also best to leave an email address here that artists can contact as some people don't want to leave their contact information in threads here.
>>2683769
My shitty budget is $40.
I don't really wanna leave my contact info either. I'll leave my Kik. Everyone has Kik. It's already filled with spam.
how saddening that the true significance of the symbology of this dress has been reduced to a simple gif.

Commentary: (write whatever you wish)
There will be no "post ur work" bullshit, I am fully aware of the critic's role. Do not comment on others critiques unless they express something you would say, perhaps more elegantly. I am hoping for everyone to give an honest review without fear of being criticized themselves. If you must critique someone, critique me.
P.S.The OP image file is quite large for detail purposes.
I will upload a smaller JPG in the next post.
