"best" tattoos you've ever seen. I want to see what other shocking skin art is out there compared to this guy.
Welcome newbie. You'll notice that there was a tattoo thread created an hour before your post. You might get a better response there.
I'm completely new to drawing but I've found this new fun drawing exercise for all you newfags out there
Start sketching your cat or pet laying down or something
But if they move you have to create something thing with what you have

What made you decide to put what looks like a small dinosaur bone coming out of the cat's ears?
Just a simplistic vector rework of the Mt Eden background, what do you think?

It's shit
Does this just straight up seem wrong to anyone else?

>Does this just straight up seem wrong to anyone else?
Nope, it's right.
>>2697545
No. It's the most basic thing in perspective and how vision works.
It seems wrong because the earth isn't flat and you can't see detail infinitely into the distance.
It's only a general guideline for imitating the perspective of human sight in a 2D space.
Hey guys. I'm getting a new tattoo that will look similar to this picture. I have all of it figured out except the marionette itself. I need ideas on the marionettes look.

Draw a mongoloid happy face on the head of your grimy chode, then hammer nails into your dick and tie dental floss to them
Can we talk about depression? I have pretty severe depression so much so that it takes me about a month to finish a six hour commission. Should I be telling my clients that I have depression and the work will take longer than necessary or just keep quiet and keep it to myself?
My other question is how do I control my depression and not let it affect my work?
>>2694078
That's really hard, friend. Depression is a thing that's not usually defeated with one singular solution. Instead its something you've got to pull yourself out of, its kind of like a spiral. Tackling it on all fronts is what will make it lessen, try to develop healthy habits in everything you do. Surround yourself with good people who make you happy. Keep being positive and you can pull yourself out of it, the key is being persistant, especially because its never really gone, only managed.
Consider medication, but be cautious. Sometimes it honestly makes it worse. I've seen far too many people on depression meds without any improvement.
Keep trying anon, I'm rooting for you.

I imagine you with that anime face and makes me want to glomp you : 3
I just tell them I have a huge backlog, that way it makes me look busy and popular and makes thrm forgive the long lead time ( as long as you communicate with them in weekly updates)

What examples of fine art are as simple and easy to draw as cartoon characters?
Untitled (Yellow, Orange, Yellow, Light Orange) sold for $36.5 million in New York.

I don't think you understand fine art or cartoon characters
Composition II in Red, Blue, and Yellow, 1930 by Piet Mondrian sold for $50.6 million in 2015
Are drawing gloves useful?
>>2697153
If you use a Cintiq they can be, especially if your hands tend to sweat because you will run into problems with your hand sticking to the screen. No need to go full batman gauntlet like that guy though, you can get cheap cotton gloves or something for a couple bucks.

Does it reduce the pain when holding the pen for long?
I never had any artist related problems in my hand but holding the pen and pencil for too long hurts my fingers like a bitch.

gonna sweat like fuck with those gloves

What are you favourite form exercises?
Gestures since it allows me to feel the form of whatever I'm looking at, it feels very three-dimensional feeling. Even if it comes out looking bad, I still enjoy the feeling.

Since the summer started, I've been doing sketches to create (hopefully) a comic book for class, but I think my main characters need something.
>>2695505
Yeah your main character needs to not be straight up shitty anime. Try to pay attention to relative proportions. One of the feet is fucked up pretty bad. You should probably do a lot more drawing from life or at least study how successful artists(not fucking shonens) simplify body parts.
I feel like I've been trying to fix this stupid shoe for ages and it just gets worse and worse. Any help?

Do you mean I should just start fresh?
How do I start painting or drawing amazing these looking mechas? Y'know, semi-realistic and fully rendered ones, not like transformers shit. I understand that I would need studies from still life machinery to get the basics down, but some of these are really just incredibly photo-realistic. It seems to be a really popular trend among good artists, as well. Any tips, or guides?
I'll dump for answers.
>>2687972
A lot of the really photoreal looking ones are literally just photos pasted into the design. Others are 3d and rendered in some crazy program to get incredible lighting on it.
Ideally I'm really just looking for simple or complex techniques that trending artists use to get this feel of conceptual robots and mechs that are rendered into place with great precision.
If you follow some mech blogs, they all seem like there's a bit of connection between all of them overall. I just can't really get how they wind up like their finished pieces.
This one >>2687977 I just uploaded isn't really a good example, sorry.
>>2687976
You don't say? I don't really do photobashing but it sounds interesting.
I do know that 3D is somewhat used for the more complex mechs that are obviously just painted over with textures but theres a lot of examples out there that just come out purely through the paint. Digital paint, of course.
