What does g do for AdBlock on unrooted androids?
Root it.
>>56267585
Block in the Router DNS.
Or you're fucked.
Use a browser that supports adblocking
Use app alternatives that don't have ads e.g. new pipe instead of yt although it's still in development and can't completely replace the youtube app yet
Do you ever wish you could go back? Forget about the botnet and just use Google's wide array of services, take advantage of gratis (((cloud))) storage and programs, or let a script run without researching who wrote it? Do you ever wish you could buy an iPhone like the normies do? Do you ever wish you could just be fucking happy with a TN panel, a chiclet keyboard, and a pair of shitty headphones with a nice logo on them? I'd forget it all if I had the chance.

The funny thing is, after being here all this time, I've gone back to that blue state.
>>56267559
How? Did you get sick of it and come to accept that it's an uphill battle that ends in defeat eventually? Am I on the right track?
Unless you're in a position to do something about it i.e. have savant technical skills or independently wealthy, being redpilled about too much just means misery. Everyone is at the mercy of lifestyle/feature creep.

what is the point of Linux?
why does /g/ use Linux?
where does a newcomer to Linux start out?
I'd just like to interject for a moment. What you’re referring to as Linux, is in fact, GNU/Linux, or as I’ve recently taken to calling it, GNU plus Linux. Linux is not an operating system unto itself, but rather another free component of a fully functioning GNU system made useful by the GNU corelibs, shell utilities and vital system components comprising a full OS as defined by POSIX.
Many computer users run a modified version of the GNU system every day, without realizing it. Through a peculiar turn of events, the version of GNU which is widely used today is often called “Linux”, and many of its users are not aware that it is basically the GNU system, developed by the GNU Project. There really is a Linux, and these people are using it, but it is just a part of the system they use.
Linux is the kernel: the program in the system that allocates the machine’s resources to the other programs that you run. The kernel is an essential part of an operating system, but useless by itself; it can only function in the context of a complete operating system. Linux is normally used in combination with the GNU operating system: the whole system is basically GNU with Linux added, or GNU/Linux. All the so-called “Linux” distributions are really distributions of GNU/Linux.
Linux runs the world.

If I didn't have any need to run and test php/nodejs then I wouldn't have linux on my laptop, windows just works™
Linux's only use is being able to run server code without having to fuck around with vm's.
im really fkn sad tonite and i would like to ask if theres a fun linux distro or something to try out, maybe i'll spend the whole night distro hoppin, but i need some recs
LFS.

Other "insider knowledge" on what to expect or at least what Apple has been considered/working on for the 10th anniversary iPhone
>No more bezels (edge-to-edge display)
>OLED screen
>Touch ID and camera embedded into the screen
>Wireless Charging in which the iPhone will not have to be on a mat but can be meters away from the wireless charging station

Anyone ever try this version of Windows 10? I shot myself in the foot and did not upgrade, and need a Windows 10 key for my new desktop. I found out I can get this for free through my university. Will I be missing out a lot of features?
Slightly off topic question: Anyone ever had luck getting keys from those shady websites on Google Shopping for like $30?

Forgot to mention that you can install any edition this way. I suggest enterprise because it lets you easily disable telemetry.
Education is just like Enterprise except Cortana is disabled with no option to enable it.

OP doesn't deserve such a quick death. He should be forced to endure 1 gram injections of DPH while tied to a chair with a TV showing nothing but static every hour until his heart gives out.
On my Clip + the audio jack is damaged and I am only getting sound from my right earphone unless I hold it just right.
Does anyone still buy mp3 players and is there anything better than clip + that I should look into since they are no longer being made?
It may be dirty, try cleaning it with rubbing alcohol.
Otherwise the part is like 50¢
>>56267063
OK found a fix opened it up and the soldering gets a bit loose on the jack since I don't have an soldering iron to resolder it I rolled up a bit of tape to put between the case and the jack keeping it in position and it seems to work so far.
>>56267458
Get a $5 soldering iron faggot.

openbsd and freebsd get regular releases, netbsd is "when it's done"
>whats the driver support like
ok, but avoid nvidia and broadcom

possible on freebsd but clunky as fuck since it's not meant to be
>>56267123
ok thx, well gaming isn't really necessary, I'm just looking for something lightweight to install on an old core 2 duo with 3.5 gigs of ram I don't have wireless card for it yet but I'll keep that in mind may give netbsd a try

No, I just create these threads in hopes that somebody who knows something will come along and teach me something. The only thing I want to know how to do is move a motor wirelessly.
You forgot one board. The one actually for you:
