Taking the Network Admin course at a New Horizons training center in a few weeks. Any advice before I start
Cancel transaction with credit card company it's a scam.
>>56276396
Im not paying for anything and how is it a scam?
It's a scam. They picked my resume up as they posted fake job offers to recruit.
I have like $60 on Google play credit already on my account, but don't particularly have much use for it. Got it doing the surveys and recent chromecast offers.
Is there anyway to convert the credit into real money? For example is there any app that allows you to buy bitcoins/crypto or virtual items that you can trade to someone?
If nothing like that exists, any really good apps worth grabbing?
Appreciate any suggestions.
>>56275266
withdraw it
what? you can't? then it in't real money.
It's credit. Not real money.
gee spend it to something like an app music movie and books
I'm building a computer but I've never done it. What do I need and where can I get it?
>>56275240
1. Install gentoo
2. Buy computer parts
>>56275240
Don't do it man. I did it yesterday and I still can't get it to work.
>>56275285
Can't get what to work?
Hey /g/
I'm looking for a cheap 4k Monitor
can you recommend something?
>>56275233
Something from china would be the answer
But why would you want a cheap 4k monitor
Why not get a good HD or 1440p monitor
>>56275351
I have 3 4k Cameras and have to see the footage on a FHD Monitor.
I think it's better for editing when the monitor can show off the full details of the footage.
>>56275351
Not him but hidpi displays make for much nicer text rendering. I'm personally looking to move to a good 5k display soon (there should be a new retina iMac soon, and possibly new monitors based on the panel). Only real problem is you need one of the new titans to get decent graphics performance, but I can live with that.
>be decent at programming
>"Anon, you should totally join our startup!"
>"Ok, what do you want to do?"
>"I'm not sure yet, but you should join us man. The most important thing is teamwork. If you're with us, we'll surely succeed!"
wat do
>>56275183
what do YOU want to do?
I wonder what kind of shitty personality you must have to allow this to happen to you, seamlessly to them.
If you have to ask this question, then you couldn't possibly be decent at programming, because being decent at programming would require enough intelligence that you would not ask such god fucking stupid question.
>>56275183
>The most important thing is teamwork
Walk away, OP.
The most important thing is a business idea (you believe in); without one there is no business.
Old thread got hotpockets. What are you working on?

What? Why?

Benchmarking util for measuring bw and latency of GPU to GPU RDMA

pretty pointless, but whell
Since /g/ seems to know it all about battlestations, I thought this might be a good thing to try.
Recently moved in with friends. This is my room. The biggest one, but also the one with the WORST layout.
green are doors (top to hallway, bottom to bathroom) blue are windows, red is a sliding door closet.
The pink thing is about the size of a one person bed.
How do I set this up for maximum comfy.
I require some storage space, a desk (laptop, desktop coming next month), bed, and TV.
>>56275090
Thats a really small room...
>>56275090
Does the room have a nice view? Really, it all depends on if you want a nice view from desk or bed.
>>56275090
Some measurements would help.
Should I let MS have access to my pictures? I really want to synchronize my images between my various PCs.
just use MEGA or something
I meant to add that I have used Windows Live Mesh in the past, which was better for this sort of thing because it was just device-to-device.
But SkyDrive (now OneDrive) hijacked it and they shut down Mesh. So now the only way to synchronize is to a) permit MS to keep your shit in the cloud and b) you can only sync things kept in the OneDrive directory.
>>56275029
Use Syncthing, bro.
guys how do i into reverse engineering

Give it back jamarcus

It approaches the topic through making bot for mmo rpgs, but, it really covers all the fundamental skills and knowledge that you need to know for reverse engineering.
Why are so many software developers so poor? I'm struggling to make money because I have so many great idea's that I can't turn into code yet, but seeing all these fully literate (in programming language) poorfags is really worrying me. Is learning programming a waste of time? Or does the majority of Software Developers just have a really bad mindset / are just aspies with no ambitions?
>>56275012
> I can't turn into code yet,
Anon, that's the same reason for them too. They might be literate, but it's still a lot of work to almost anything *meaningful*.
Join a startup, or wait until 2 Jan 2019 and join us lol

This. Programming is more work than knowledge.

What do you think about IPFS? Any interesting hashes?
its cool, but it needs to be faster and needs more "apps" like ethereum and the DAO
It's a really nice way to share content. I can imagine it being used by groups like HorribleSubs and EzTV.
Though we need more client applications.
Also, I'm not sure how DCMA impacts the hive.
>>56274952
I think there are not enough BIG collections of stuff, which kinda is what it should be best at sharing.
If you have nothing to hide you have nothing to fear.

Modern society is pathetic. Revolutions in the past were started over less. No one has any guts anymore.

what can you do anyway ?
Is M.2 a meme? PCI SSDs are faster anyways
>>56274895
>PCI SSDs are faster anyways
They're the same exact protocol so how exactly are you pretending they're faster?
>>56274895
M.2 is connected to several PCIe lanes, baka.

I was absolutely amazed by Lenovo today. I've sent my thinkpad on Tuesday right after work, right before post office closed. I received it today's morning, on friday. So far no company can compare to them basing on what I experienced with others.
That's just what a business-grade laptop warranty does for you. Dell and HP do the same thing for Latitudes and ProBooks.
Some years ago I had a Dell laptop and the keyboard started malfunctioning. Called Dell and they sent a technician to my place, he replaced the keyboard, did a general check on the system, and left. I had no extra or special warranty.
I'm not sure if that's standard procedure for Dell, but since I'm not in the US, it was probably not possible (or too expensive) to send it by mail to a shop/warehouse.
