This tbqh familia. All sane people jumped ship to Linux long ago. If you choose to stay on W10, you don't get to complain.

Anyone have experience using Void linux?

I'm running a dual boot with Windows 7 and Arch now, but I'm going to ditch Windows since I only use it for games and the ones I play work fine with Wine.

I really like the idea of Void, but with it being so obscure I'm worried about a lack of documentation and packages. Is this an issue?

If Void isn't any good, which is better between Gentoo and Funtoo?

Void is pretty good. There are a lot of packages. Most stuff that is in the stable Arch repos, and a fair amount of AUR stuff is in the void stable. The rest you can make sources for using xbps-src, and then they can be put into the main repos. Or compile the extra stuff that you can't find yourself. I really like the simplicity of runit, and the xbps can be simplified with aliases to get around the retarded amount of package forking they did. Regardless, I use Void on an old as hell thinkpad and it is really light. Recommend it over Gentoo, Gentoo is a literal meme.
>>
>>56261603
There is also plenty of documentation on the website, for things like using sv and runit all the way to doing a netinstall through Arch. I recommend it.
>>
>>56261603
If you liked Arch, you're probably gonna love Void.
The only thing you'll miss at first might me the AUR for a few packages, tough like >>56261665 said, xbps-src and your day is done.

> Perhaps the biggest change at Microsoft under Satya Nadella, its gentler, more collaborative CEO, is the focus on cloud computing instead of Windows.

>Simply put, if Microsoft's customers choose Microsoft's cloud, then it doesn't matter what software they run on it — even if that software is an operating system that competes with Windows, like Linux.

Hey, I have a question for y'all. So a few days ago I dropped my Galaxy S5 in a pool (I don't have an excuse for doing so, I was just careless while handling it near the pool) and it was probably in the water for 20-30 seconds, no more than that. It was powered on when I dropped it in, but when I took it out it was off. I took it apart and put it in rice as soon as I could, and have tried turning it on every 24 hours, but sadly every time I try to turn it on I get the usual start up appearance for about a second before the screen goes partially yellow and shuts off. At this point I'm fairly certain the phone is toast and Ill have to get a new one, which I don't really care about because I was going to get a new one anyways, but my real concern is my pictures and other things I have stored on my hard drive. I have a lot of pictures of my newborn daughter and family on it, as well as many other miscellaneous things stored on the phone that I would be devastated to lose. My question is, do you think that the data stored on the phone is recoverable, and is it possible to get it off the phone if it wont turn on? Side note, the phone probably short circuited, and the charger port is broken as well, so methods of getting the data off via transfer cable are also going to be useless.

have you tried putting it in dessicant?
drowning it in high % rubbing alcohol and letting it dry?
or microwaving it?
>>
>>56261597

Tried desiccant, hasn't worked.
Don't plan on trying rubbing alcohol because I'm fairly certain it wouldn't be effective at this point.
I also don't plan on microwaving it because that just sounds fucking retarded.
>>
>>56261663
so you haven't tried microwaving it

enjoy buying a new phone for no reason

>>
>>56261333
Vista looked great in its time but the look's very dated now. I'd saw Windows 8 sans Metro is the best looking Windows. Actually I'd say NT4, 2000, and the like look better than Vista too. Vista's their second best remotely modern UI though.

Apple releases iOS security update to patch Equation Group exploits:

Not Equation Group (NSA). Someone else.

NSO Group are another nation-state trojan peddler, based in Israel, and selling to UAE, Kenya, Mexico, all that stuff.
