The 15'' Lenovo Yoga 710 that I ordered is about to arrive. Does /g/ have any thoughts on it?
Specs:
i7-6500U
16GB RAM
256GB SSD
360 degree screen
Main thing I liked about it was the screen. I just like opinions about the things I own so what are your thoughts on this laptop?
I like the filename but does the yoga actually come with 3 screens?
>/g/ is NOT your (...) personal consumer review site.
fuck off

I'm not being autistic here, I actually want a discussion. Then again, with people like you here....
>when you hire a /lit/izen to report technology
>"H-how could I be expected to know anything if Plato didnt talk about it?!"
Hmm, Googled it and they changed the subheader, with an explanation and an apology on the same page.
That's a lot more than can be expected from the MSM. But then again, there's no political gain to be made here, it just made them look really incompetent.

"oddly specific number" ??
I think it would be pretty fucking obvious why it is 256.

That's what OP is getting at, genius
https://www.theguardian.com/technology/2016/aug/25/whatsapp-to-give-users-phone-number-facebook-for-targeted-ads?CMP=fb_gu
So zuck will link all facebook accounts to your phone number and use it to send you fucking texts with ads regardless of the fact that you didn't want to put your phone number on facebook.
And while you can opt out of the ads via text you can't opt out of facebook getting your phone number and contact list.
How does that make you feel /g/?
>How does that make you feel /g/?
Indifferent.

That might actually be a good use for it if you don't care about long rendering times and don't want to hear a jet fan while sleeping.

Which certificate authority uses 4096-bit encryption? I can't get the Key Exchange rating to 100 even though I generated a 4096-bit key. I think it's because one of the certificates in the chain is 2048-bit. I'm currently using Comodo PositiveSSL.
Thanks in advance.

Let's Encrypt: https://community.letsencrypt.org/t/howto-a-with-all-100-s-on-ssl-labs-test-using-apache2-4-read-warnings/2436
I just sign my own certs.
It's the same difference. All the cert authority is is a "guarantee" that your key isn't in the wild.
Having your own key at 4096 bit puts a much higher load on your server than 2048 bit (a lot more than double) and offers negligible improvement (not a proportionate increase in strength).
I'm getting a Xiaomi phone soon. But what interets me is trustworthiness of the fingerprint reader. It sounds like a cool feature, but I don't particularily want Chinese gov to store my fingerprint. Should I just not use it? Or use a different finger or the opposite hand? I never been interrogated by the police – do they check all fingers? I'm not sure, but they seem to have different patterns.
If you're concerned about privacy, don't use a smartphone
Don't trust anything related to biometrics unless the source code is available.
>>56271205
> Should I just not use it?
You shouldn't use your fingerprints or any other biometric auth for anything serious: you can't lose it, but you can't change it either. Police can get it from you without your consent.
Sick as fuck of all this shitty 2mb+ webpages. And yet, you have to use a framework to make sure websites work in all resolutions nowadays.
Is there a tiny html framework worth using?
html? dunno. u can use postcss for your css tho. with postcss u then use boy[1], lost[2], and maybe
something for typography [3]
[1] github.com corysimmons/boy
[2] github.com peterramsing/lost
[3] github.com corysimmons/typographic
unless you're doing some crazy shit you can get away with simple CSS
>>56271171
or u can just use flexbox, yeah.
