Haven't worked out regularly in like 2 years, trying to get back in shape. Best motivator has always been looking at fit girls and realizing that the only way I deserve to even be in the same room as them is by getting shredded.

I just got invited to my first party ever, a pool party. I'm a reasonably decent-looking guy, but my body is 100% ectomorph, and I have no muscle and a slight potbelly, with no pecs.
I'm worried that the girls might laugh at my body because of the reasons above and more. I have awkward tan lines and a fucking tiny frame.
It may be happening in January 2016 because we're sorting out music and other shit.

My question is how much muscle can I gain, how much fat can I lose, and how can I straighten my posture by the middle of January?

Chances are nobody gives a fuck. You can't really change anything substantial in a month, but it might give you better posture and confidence, usually that happens quite quickly.

Hi /fit/, tl;dr I went from skinny to fat.

I was skinny all my life and had trouble gaining weight. So I decided to eat big to get big and went up from 52kg to 82 and look disgusting now with mediocre muscle gains (mostly did compounds and got stronger) . I ate clean (brown rice, chicken, salmon) and avoided sugar, junk foods etc.

Thinking of doing keto for my cut. Is it worth it, or is it also a meme?

Should I still bother with the compounds on a cut?

It's a fad diet. Many of these are centered around carb vs fat balance, others are about a specific piece of food. As you should know, there is no evidence that any of these are better than others. If you believe in these diets, go do them, just remember that in the end, it’s about persistence, patience, protein and calories. If your diet of choice gets these 4 right, it will work. If not, it wont.

So my friend recently invited me to like the facebook page of some sort of customized work-out company that he's apparently a part of. One of the before-after examples is himself, showing this transformation over the course of only 7 months. While he's not gigantic, this seems really fast to me in 7 months. Maybe their program is just really good, but I'm wondering if any of you guys could tell me whether he's likely been using steroids etc.?

What do you think of splitting Candito Novice upper/lower 4 day split into 6 days?

I find that I just recover from the strength/control split with the 4 days a week.

I get sore in my muscles more from heavy days, and feel it in smaller muscles / closer to joints after volume control.

Every morning I get reminded that I only have a few more years by the dozens of hairs in my sink and my palms when I style my hair.

Worst part is, girls always tell me how I gave great hair and everytime I jokingly said I'm gonna get a buzzcut in summer they are like "no anon please please don't cut that off".

You are both doing something wrong. To get better at running, you just have to run. You don't have to do it everyday. When I first started running I found it best just to have a 4km course that I ran, and just ran the same course every time, and slowly getting faster.

That is all you have to do. Every time you go, try shave off even one second to your time, and over the course of a year, you'll be much faster. (Obviously this can't go on forever).

I'm looking at trying to get my 5 k time down to about 25 minutes so what I've been doing is running sets of 1 k trying to do them in 5 minutes or less. Just trying to get comfortable at the pace I have to run and building the endurance to keep that pace

I've come back to lifting after almost a year and this time I'm determined to be as disciplined as I can. However, after wednesday my body is still very sore. I can't straighten my arms so I don't think I can do a lot of exercises. I really really don't want to miss the gym, but I'm wondering if it's a good idea to go today. What do you think guys?
