Hey /fit/,

I run a decent bit every morning, but I never did any genuine strength training. I've been wanting too the problem is that I have a very long history of insomnia, sometimes I'm able to sleep well for a week, but that's a rare occasion.

Would my irregular sleep pattern be considered when planning a routine?

At this point my body is used to being awake for too long, so I don't feel too much physical vatigue, but I doubt that means I have as much strength/stamina.

Could you give me some advice on this topic?

How come so many pro athletes are able to get both so good at their sport AND get big and muscular? I started wrestling and it seems like you need to choose between either. To get good I train wrestling 4 or 5 times a week, which not only burns a ton of calories but also leaves room for 2 lifting sessions a week. How are they able to get so juicy? Is it genetics? I'm stuck at 172 lbs at 6'1 but would like to hit 200 lbs.

TL;DR: How to get big and good at sport? How do they do it?

I wasted 7 months on a circuit routine... Now I do splits and added exercises, and do 5 sets for each exercise. Way more volume than I used to. Used to do 2 rounds of my circuit, with too many exercises (full body, everything from lifts to situps, left me exhausted but not worked out to my limits).

I hope my progress will speed up now. I sure as fuck feel my body the day after my new work out.

health related question here.

in the last few months my personality has shifted dramatically. I've gone from an extrovert who loves socializing/partying to an introvert who is completely content with his time alone. My motivation has also been severely tapped. In this time I have also been on exchange to a school in northern Sweden, so my exposure to sunlight has decreased to the point where I now go entire days without seeing the sun.

You guys think this is depression, vitamin D deficiency, home sickness or what? Im honestly not sad, just turning into a massive introvert.

On a fitness note, is upper back movement acceptable on a pendlay row as long as my hips dont move?

Day One:

Bench Press: 3x6-8
Incline BB/DB Press: 2x10-12
Military Press: 3x6-8
DB Skull Crushers or Close Grip Bench Press with 4-5” ROM (Not all the way down to your chest and your index fingers should be where the knurling starts): 3x10-12
Kneeling Cable Crunches or Other Heavy Ab Exercise: 3x10

Day Two:

Pull-Ups or Wide Lat Pull-Downs: 3xAMAP (As Many As Possible – Use Minimum ¾ Your BW for Pull-Downs)

EZ-Bar Curl: 2x10

What about all the warming up and stretching? Every trip to the gym takes almost an hour longer because of that (2 hours+40min walking to and from).

Prob gonna be a stupid post but I need at least one person so say this isn't all retarded.

Do ya'll think health wise it's ok for a 5'2" female to restrict her diet to 1000 cals per day? Do you think I'd notice results in a month? Atm I eat 2,000-3,500 cals per day and weigh 135, so I think I'd obs. lose weight at 1,000 cals a day right?

It's temporary, after I finish school in a month and a half I'll have time to hit the gym but atm I have work and school and don't have time.

Tl;dr is 1,000 cals ok? And would I see any results in a month. TYTYTY.

My diet atm isn't the best, no fast food or sodas but a lot of high fat and carb stuff when I don't extercise.

No I don't think that's a good idea. My girlfriend is the same height as you and we calculated it and for her to lose enough weight to be considered perfectly healthy (not over weight not underweight) she'd have to reach a weight of around 135. So based on that I'm willing to guess you have no need to have that restrictive of a diet. But that's not exactly the answer to your question so I'll put it this way. Various health organizations say a female teenage or older shouldn't eat around less than 1300 Calories a day for an absolute minimum

It's twitching: it happens.

Been sleeping poorly? Added or subtracted caffeine from your life? Been stressed? Been exerting muscles harder than normal?

All those and a lot more can cause twitching, and it's almost always harmless, and can last for even a week or so.
