Got any goals you're building toward?
>>39021246
I'm trying to get to running 10k. I ran 5 miles on Friday.
So should I run like 4.5 miles normally and have my long runs as 5 miles? And only increase my long runs?
Like this week I'd run maybe 1 5k trying to be fast, 2 regular 4.5 mile runs, and then 5 mile long run And I'd increase the long run miles by half a mile every week?
is sprinting short distances with weight as bad on your joints as rucking is?
I started c2k earlier this year and combined with eating a bit better, i've gone down from 200lbs to 170 and I'm now managing to run 5K in less than 30 minutes 3 times a week, which I know isn't a record pace but i'm also quite asthmatic so i'm pretty happy about it.
Should I start increasing how many times a week I run? I usually do a day on a day off that averages to around 3 times a week, and I'm just worried about over doing it and injuring myself. I already damaged my leg and didn't run from April-June earlier this year.
Alright so I'm skelly as fuck and like 140 pounds with a metabolism faster than a jiggaboo on a stolen bike. I'm looking in to getting a gym membership and bulk up but I'm not going to know what the fuck I'm talking about and I'm afraid I'll get played. Are there and red flags I should be looking for when I apply? Thanks /fit/
Dont go to planet fitness

pizza bulking tho
One huge red flag is when you are told you have a huge metabolism. There are no special snowflakes. Eat more.
Could you guys post approximate stats you had by the time you jumped off SS/SL? please?
120kg squat
130kg dead
75kg bench

/nfg/ - NoFap General
This thread is dedicated to the effects of NoFap on your mental health and your physical gains. Recent support, success, struggles, and discoveries are also welcome.
Note that not fapping is NOT enough for most people. An average "reset" involves 90 days of no PMO (Porn, Masturbation, Orgasm). Some people have wet dreams, some don't. That's OK and DOESN'T mean you have failed. Wet dreams can happen anytime within the first 2-3 weeks, and should stop after 2-3 months.
Many NoFappers have seen an better mental health state, as well as their lifting being more effect. Some may run faster, some won't.
Some people experience wet dreams, some don't. Some will have trouble sleeping, some will sleep better. Small results like that are varied. The commonly agreed upon things are more focus, more stamina in lifting and running. Cold showers are also said to help many people, they kill urges, but beyond that there is no scientific evidence. Some people will experience no effects 2 weeks in, you WILL get there, you just need to keep going. Some people will get 2 days in and already be experiencing long term effects.
New to this fitness shibang...
Would you recommend I stop wanking?
>>39041362
Yes. When you're new is the best time. I lifted for a year and a half with little gainz, quit a few months ago and they've started rolling in.
Day 5 here, I don't think I'm going to break, but I don't feel the SUPERPOWERS i did last time.
Revival attempt #9001 edition
How was your training today? Are you looking to get stuck into the best and most interesting of the strength sports? This is the thread for you

/routine/
Ctrl-f no routine thread so this is it, rate and hate.
A:
Bench press
Incline dumbbell press
Squat
Chinups
B:
Bench press
Barbell rows
Chinups
OHP
I'm a beginner, goals are bench pressing my weight and squatting double. Also doing ten reps of chinups would be nice. What should I add/remove? Mentioning I don't do deadlifts because of lower back problems.
stop going to tfwnogf threads and answer OP you nerds
>>39040930
Benching body weight is a pretty small goal compared to squatting 2x
You need to incorporate all the compound lifts.
Squat
Deadlift
Row
Bench
Military press
Pull ups
Old one's dead
Keep the bullshit below
Got DOMS in my legs. Should I squat and bite the pain or wait 1-2 days?
Why can't I go to the gym everyday and do SS (ie. ABABAxx or something). What are the reasons against this? What about cardio everyday vs restdays

I'm 170 pounds ottermode and he is 260 pounds.
Is karate worth investing, or should we go for MMA?
>>39038758
karate is retarded gimmicky bullshit, better for conditioning but not actual fighting skill
i'd say either BJJ or muaythai
if you HAVE to choose, just go for MMA
>>39038791
If we have little to no fighting experience, would karate help? I did karate when I was younger.
BJJ is best grappling
Boxing is best striking
Muay Thai is useful shit
Judo/Wrestling has useful shit

he is Zyzz's twin brother
This is pretty stupid since he looks pretty jacked with clothes on too. Guy looks amazing but he's too full of himself to the point of being annoying.
