Im 5'9 165 lbs and my lifts arent even worth mentioning but im finally noticing little progress after i stopped giving a fuck about aesthetics and just straight bulked on 3100-3200 calories a day. Just wanted to share that evidence if anyones new and needs to know why theyre not growing as fast as others. if you think im small now you shouldve seen me when i was like 130-140 lbs and eating 900 calories a a day. Anyways post your shit and we'll try to give you the motivation you need to continue. If you guys are anything

Let's get real brahs

Why the hell is calisthenics/street workout being shilled so hard nowadays?
I don't see any advantage in doing this stupid shit against going to a gym
It will also destroy your joints through the immense amount of tension these workouts require
Also most of the calisthenics "pros" look like they're blasting like crazy (ridiculous definition, fullness, etc.)

Are there any real arguments you can make for doing this instead of lifting weights at a gym?

Some people just prefer to be fully in control of their body. Different people have different goals anon. Some want to deadlift 6 plates. Some want to be able to do a single arm pull up. Sure if you can bench more than 2 plates you'll get mires. But so does the guy who can do a clapping handstand push up.

Also, lifting weights are just as bad on your joints if not more. At least on calisthenics you are forced to train stabiliser muscles to progress towards harder leverage.

My point is, not everyone wants the same thing. Who are you to decide which is superior?

It could be said that calisthenics/street workouts develop more core strength and stabilizing muscle strength. But that's just because of training specificity. I don't really see any benefit other than that that would give an advantage over going to the gym. But people can do what the want and enjoy it. Personally I'd rather be the awkward guy at the gym than the awkward guy at the playground

Sardines are great in terms of macros and micros, but they taste like ass. The best way I've found to make them not gross is to put them in a sandwich with mayo, mustard, and tomato. With one piece of bread and one tbsp mayo it's like 300 kcal all together.
