How do I get and maintain motivation? How does /fit/ stay motivated? I'm starting a routine Saturday with my /fit/ friend, and I finally have no excuses of "I can't afford it, I don't have the time, I don't know how" or anything else to finally be in the gym and do things the right way.
But the gym has always been an awful place for me. Even when I've put in months of work, things have never gotten better and I've HATED it more than anything else in the world. I'm not obese or anything, I basically look like the left pic.
How do I learn to at least tolerate working out and lifting?

I work an active job and as I've made gains I've needed to add 400 kcal at 3-4 oclock just so I'm not fucking starving for hours.
Have a snack and some healthy fast carbs before the gym, I also find getting up, getting some oats and hitting the gym before work is better all round though.
