Probably a medium doggo at best.
Doubt, their claws will still fuck a person up.
Became a vegetarian in my mid-teens and kept it up solid for about 9 years with the exception of a couple of slips (i.e. sweets with gelatine etc). I started because I just saw animals as harmless creatures going about their business. I also thought that our teeth indicated what our diet should consist of. Meat-eating animals have sharp teeth and herbivorous have square teeth like ours to grind up plants. I was also sold on the idea that having a vegetarian diet is more efficient because it leaves the digestive system sooner and it's easier to burn off calories and all that.
I've been doing various types of fitness for a year now, trying to get my fat ass into shape after the horror my body went through at college, sitting around writing essays, getting drunk, eating pasta, smoking my own body-weight in dope every day which was, as I mentioned, substantial at the time.
I took up Kenpo Karate a year ago and loved it, took it seriously and did kettle-bell workouts, weight circuits, cardio and isometric weight-lifting more recently. I tried to compensate for the lack of protein by eating fake chicken and drinking protein shakes which definitely works for me on the day, but the rest of the time, I'm walking around like an old man trying to recover before the next session. I couldn't take it and some animalistic voice told me that I needed something's flesh and I gave in. Since then, my training improved and my memory seems to be better as well.
So anyway, enough of the blog post let's get down to brass tacs. All hippy BS aside, are we supposed to eat meat? If so, how much? Does it affect our mind? Evidence? Thanks.
Well, your ancestors discovered fire. They also discovered that cooking meat in fire made it taste better, AND it had better nutritional value. Allowing for more growth and development of the brain over time. Which is the reason people can now have thought, and make those choices.
>Teeth
We have canine teeth, made for shredding meat specifically. We are omnivores, built to eat everything. We are the apex predator of this planet, so eating other animals makes sense. We were so fucking intelligent that we bred animals to produce the best milk, meat, etc. Humans are amazing creatures, and it would be a waste to not take advantage of what our ancestors have given us. That alone is reason enough to eat meat. Let alone the fact that it tastes great. And of course your lifts are better now. You probably were miscalculating your macros and were protein deficient, hence feeling like an old man.
Ignoring the shitty bait that is most of the OP, I'll answer the last question for anyone actually interested.
We don't technically "need" meat in that a meticulously developed nutrition plan can encompass everything needed. That being said, to come up with and sustain such a plan is often unreasonable for about 99% of the population that has to work for a living. Unless you're able to spend a lot of money to have enough food and have your intake monitored, as well as enough time to eat everything needed, a vegan diet is going to lead to nutritional deficiencies

Hey /fit/
So recently I decided to go vegetarian in part to try and live a cleaner lifestyle, but I was warned by a friend that I'll crash and burn because of defficiencies that will build up. I still eat eggs very often and almonds/nuts pretty often as well, but what else should I be eating to make up for the meat I'm missing out on? It's been almost two weeks and its honestly been easy as fuck so far but I don't wanna crash so suggestions would be great.
Also general vegetarian/vegan thread.
pic unrelated
as far as protein: eggs, cheese, whey, milk

>I decided to go vegetarian
Cut the bullshit and just add chicken or lean white meat in general to your diet. Also, fish.
>>40897052
nice bait m8
I have a few questions and because the qtddtot is not very active anymore i will ask them in a new thread. I am willing to ge to the gym and lift but i need to know if my body has a decent complexion for it. As example the first picture, i dobt think that if he will lift he wouls get the very muscular look. I would also like to ask for pictures of people with the same type of body who are trained so i can see what kinds of results i can expect. For extra info, i am 187cm and 87 kg at the moment. The second and third picture are me.

so you want to be like 1st pic? if so you gotta start cutting asap, go dieting and doing pushups helped me a lot to lose my tits
Can i do a low food cheat day on a bulk? My appetite is quite the oppositte of voracious and bulking is no fun for me. Im wondering if i could do a cheat day every week or 2 where i just let myself eat as little as i want and enjoy the feeling of not being bloated. Will it kill my gains?
you could do a 24 hour fast
>>40896914
Dont think i wanna do that, i would probably just eat a few hundred calories of fruit and chicken nuggets on my cheat day
>>40897091
Can't you just eat calorie dense foods in small amounts. Like macadamia nuts or something or a jar of pb
Hey /fit/
Do you think i can go from moderate fitness to collegiate d1 wrestling level of fitness in a couple of months?
I want to be atleast a practice dummy for my schools wrestling team. Im gonna be a junior and ive wasted my last 2 years not doing anything.
>>40896843
Current D1 wrestler here. I was a state place finisher 3 years in high school. D1 is a whole new game senpai, you better have either massive balls or be a quick learner. desu find something else to do, even drill partners need to be great.
>>40896980
I was thinking about going to korea this summer yo train with my korean wrestling coach - he wrestled in the world championship back in the day and has connections with the korean olympic team.
I am a quick learner, i just need to get my conditioning up.
What school do you wrestle at?
>>40897067
A lot of kids at this level have been wrestling since they were born, I doubt one summer will be enough. By all means, if you wanna do it then do it, but don't get your hopes too high. I wrestle at PSU
>inb4 you like to touch boys just like sandusky hurr durr paterno
How to be this skinny and muscular, /fit/?
What diet should I use and how should I exercise? Is it possible to get this figure?
Don't eat anything. Maybe some cocaine.
Do a million cardio.
>>40896631
but he isn't muscular, he's just lean. Literally just starve yourself and run a few days a week.

Starting new PPL program.
How's this one?
https://www.muscleandstrength.com/workouts/6-day-powerbuilding-split-meal-plan
I was thinking about changing the 3x5 compounds to 5x5.
Also how often should I be increasing weight?
>>40896442
Literally the second paragraph tells you when to increase the weight. Did you even read the program before you posted this?
>>40896494
nope
Look good though senpai?
>>40896553
Looks fine if you already have an okay strength base. If you are just starting I'd do a linear like ss or stringlifts first.
At what successful 10 rep bench press do you consider out of dyel

My gym offers bouldering and its really fun, but im curious about how often i should do it and if it interferes with my strength training. I do strength 3 times a week, can i do bouldering on the same days after finishing my workout or will it be too much?
>>40896041
you have to atrophy your legs as hard as possible to get good at climbing/bouldering
Not sure if bouldering after strength training is a good idea. I'd lean towards no but just try it and see if it is too much. You should never forget the fun, probably the most underrated motivation.
>>40896106
That's utterly irrelevant below the professional level. Climbing is great for your entire body, especially upper body strength and core. Also good for flexibility which is barely covered by regular training.
>>40896041
I boulder 3x/week and lift 3x/week. U wont get max aesthetics, but its a ton of fun and a great thing to progress at - plus theres a lot of grills to talk to :^)
Since there's no info about this on the sticky, I would like to hear experiences of /fit/izens.
On your weight drop progress did you experience weight plateaus and how did you overcome them?
Yes
I figured I was overestimating my cardio and then eating too much. I stopped counting it in myfitnesspal and therefore my caloric deficit was greater
>>40895986
I would not concider that a plateau. It was just miscalculation
Whenever I plateau I just change something up
If I'm not doing cardio? Add it.
If I am doing cardio? stop it and reduce intake
Eating 3 meals a day? go on a strict IF regimine
I find changing up your routine every month helps avoid plateaus and keeps things more interesting and fresh in the mind
