I had Chicago-style pizza today for the first time. It was the best damn pizza I ever had. How can any other pizzas compete?
>>8435995
You have shit taste.
>>8435995
Even California has better pizza than Chicago and that's saying something.
>>8435995
Chicago is literally How to Fuck Up Food: The City.
Me: heated up blue cheese.
>>8435391
Why would you heat up Blue Cheese?
>>8435392
Some people use it dishes, in desserts.
I would suggest you look up the term cooking with cheese
>>8435393
Omg anon XD
Hai everybody!
Do you know what this is? Do you like Korean food?
That's right! Today we're making kimchi sundubu-jjigae, Maangchi style!
>>8432462
First make stock.
Peel and slice radish. Break off piece of dried seaweed. Remove head and guts from dried anchovies.
>>8432492
Mix sesame oil and chili powder.

Holy shit, my sides
Had Mac and Cheese 2 nights ago senpai
I think here in México is chile en nogada, I have never tried them, I asked my mother once as a child if I could tried and she said it was horrible and if I wanted to eat chiles rellenos it might as well be of cheese and not meat. I kind of agree now.
How well does your country do Fish and Chips?
Is it appreciated?
>>8431026
The U.S. does it many ways. Here on the Gulf Coast it is typically tempura fried Cod or other white fish like Tilapia or whatever, maybe a beer batter.
Fries/chips are a different matter and usually the difference between good and bad...frozen bagged shit is used often but some places actually julianne potatoes, blanch and fry them.
I assume it's the same in the UK and around the world, some places get it and some don't. But Americans love Fish and Chips, especially New England. Any other questions?
>>8431026
Aus here.
Pretty shit. UK does it a lot better.
>>8431037
I'm Aussie and I reckon we do fish and chips damn well.
Which state do you live in? How close are you to the water?
Whats the worst restaurant you've ever been to?
TGI Fridays

My reasoning is everything tasted microwaved from bags

outback steakhouse
>i order steak thats bland as fuck and tastes microwaved
but thats not what did it
>friend orders seafood because he doesnt care for steak and still wanted to come out with us
>fish is way underdone
>send it back
>still underdone
>send it back
>now baked to hell because obviously chef is pissed from his own incompetence
>manager comes over, says, "well this is a steak house"
>about to leave, no tip
>gets asked about our tip and where it is
i cant tell enough people to avoid this place. they can go bloomin fuck themselves
I'll start:
>expiry date on honey
>>8420018
That might be for the plastic instead, ASSUMING it's actual, real, botulism-with (which is normal and why not to give to infants) honey
>The year of our Lord 2017
>STILL don't know the difference between "best before/sell by" and "expiry date"
>>8420021
Does this sentence make sense to anyone?
Today I've made a fillet steak with vegetables and shrooms, topped with caramelized onion in red wine reduction.
It was my first time doing it, and I definitely could do better (by not using cardboard wine, for example, which seems to be more water than wine).
Also general steaks and/or steaks recipes thread
>>8442271
Looks a bit greasy but would it.
>>8442271
Rather strange looking plating. I think the steak needs a bit more caramalization. Not sure what the balsamic reduction will do other than mask the flavor of steak.
>>8442271
strange plating, but who cares. steak looks a bit dry though
Hey /ck/. I've wanted to get into cooking for a while but I always used to make excuses. I used to cook for my family rarely, but now I really want to learn how to cook good food. My favorite meal of the day is breakfast, so I thlught I would start there. I was hoping you guys could suggest some recipies that are cheap for a beginner. I know how to make scrambled eggs, but that's about it for breakfast. I'd really like to learn how to make scrambled or poached eggs, and I'd also like to expand my horizons regarding breakfast food in general. Thanks!
>>8442146
This is my favorite meal.
>>8442149
I hope you get sent to a mental facility
Most people will tell you to start with frying eggs - but cooking good food is less about technique and more about what foods taste good with what seasonings and stuff. Try reading this when you get a chance, it's good for baby chefs and for experienced folks
>Scenario: Its a Snowstorm and your delivery driver dies on his way to deliver you food
They charge your debit/credit card. Do you ask for a refund?
Yes.
>>8442132
obviously. its not like he was getting any of the money charged to my card.
>>8442132
depends, if it's a large chain i ask for a refund but if it's just a small family owned store they'll have to pay for a funeral so i'll be nice and they can keep it
Is it worth the hour and a half of stirring to do it the old fashioned way?
yes.
>>8441938
oui
What is that?

Too much of what appears to be "german".
I get it, Germans are big on beer, but the vast majority of local craft beers here don't have German-sounding names at all.
Some off the top of my head:
>Winter Warmer
>Hopadillo
>Weedwhacker
>Foam Dome
>Conspiracy Theory
>Art Car
>Dragon's Milk
>>8441142
Yeah this.
Dumb website OP.
"NL/BE, Dutch" was added in the title. But didn't ring a bell.
OH MY GOD Did you know that, although there's octopus inside takoyaki, taiyaki has no sea bream in it?!
That's common sense.
>>8440892
So fucking what?
/Thread
>>8440899
WHAT?!
You've tried taiyaki already?
>perfect desserts don't exi-

>>8439672
This is a meme
You don't have to be fat to enjoy good desserts you fucking faggot
>>8439692

but there's no way that whoever's eating that fucking monstrosity weighs less than 300 pounds.
ITT we discuss anything about cocktails. Recipes you like/created, techniques, glassware, you name it.
I'll open with a creation of mine:
Ice-filled shaker
1 oz regular vodka
1 oz green apple vodka
1 oz St. Germain (elderflower liqueur)
1/2 oz lime juice
Top shaker with white cranberry juice and shake well
Strain into ice filled lowball glass, garnish with lime zest and a lime wheel on the edge of the glass
Enjoy
Pic semi-related
Had a nice cocktail the other day.
It was a negroni with regular proportions just less volume then about 6oz of a grapfruit juice/ gose beer mixture. It was really nice. The juice/beer kept the sour/sweer/bitter combo intact while adding a lot imo
>>8438350
Sounds good! I drank a lot of grapefruit radler when I was visiting family in Croatia but I never thought something like that could be used in a cocktail.
Also glad to hear it was balanced in terms of flavour, I believe that to be the single most important aspect of any cocktail. If it tastes like it'll give me diabetes or like paint thinner then miss me with that, regardless of what kind of liquor is in it.
I'd like to put my cock in some tail if you catch my drift
