Some kind of beef broth reduction.
Is there any other way of using up a bunch of rosemary other than cooking a lot of chicken or similarly prepared pork dishes. Im finding a lot of recipes that call for a sprig or two of rosemary that all seem to have a similar taste profile.
Kind of hoping theres something like 40 clove garlic Chicken, where using a ton of something actually gives it a unique taste. Or even better a non-European inspired recipe using rosemary
>>8433772
I like to put it in grilled cheese sandwiches, but you're not going to go through it very quickly like that.
>>8433772
It grows here on every block. One of my easy lazy dinners is just Rosemary, salt, pepper, and diced potatoes and some kind of sausage in a skillet. You can also make some Rosemary sourdough.
>>8433772
Try it in vanilla ice cream. Won't be disappointed.
You guys probably get this post every day, but I'm in dire need of a good curry recipe. Help would be greatly appreciated, /ck/.

I haven't eaten at a fast food chain in years. I've got nothing against salty-greasy, but I'm not a fan of it in the extreme.

Buy meat, buy rice, buy fruit and vegetables, buy spices, trial and error. Use serious eats recipes as a guideline, not a set in stone commandment, i.e. make adjustments according to your tastes.
I know this topics probably been killed to death, but I'm looking for some weird (i.e. foreign) ingredients that I can add to my instant ramyun to make it taste better. I have a tub of gochujang which is my go to along with some nori, and I was just wondering what your favorite add-ins are? Are there other seaweed's available at Asian market's that might be good?
>>8441689
>weird (i.e. foreign) ingredients
Insects, your neighbors pet, random weeds from your lawn. You can sift through some animal scat to find undigested seeds for an authentic foreign experience.

korean style seaweed with sesame etc
if you like gochujang youll probably also like the fermented soybeans, its a brown packaging and is like miso only chunkier and maybe more funky, adds more depth to soups.
All my adult life I have been surrounded by the PTFE memepans.
This past fall I found these solid looking stainless steel pans and they turn out to be just fine.
I can cook the shit out of my food with any tools I need, I can scrub the living shit out of them (but usually a brush handles even the hardest stuff pretty quickly).
Every couple of years some new meme-nonstick thing comes out and its all the rage and in every store, just to hear form people later that is breaks down just the same.
Why aren't stainless steel pans in every store instead.
Because you can't cook anything gently in them. They suck for eggs/fish. that's when you reach of a well seasoned (ie nonstick) carbon steel. Carbon steel also sears better than stainless.

>Why aren't stainless steel pans in every store instead.
Are they not? Where are you shopping
>>8441647
People falling for PTFE memepans has little to do with PTFE pans in general. Tefal skillets last years, are relatively cheap and work fine for everything. Stainless is annoying for eggs, fish etc.
PTFE pans are the only all-rounder.
Culinary students are the fucking worst, /ck/. I've heard you bitching about cooking school kids before, but I always thought you were exaggerating. Nope.
It was bad enough having some purple-haired she-twink tell me it was racist to refer to one of my co-workers as "the Mexican" (who's a really hot Mexican lady, FYI), it was worse having a kid half my age telling me that I'm not cutting my fucking onions properly, or another even younger girl telling me how I SHOULD be decorating cakes. The 18-year-old kids are just insufferable, and have this bloated sense of self-importance. Middle-aged students actually aren't that bad.
I know it's asinine, but the eagerness to refer to themselves as "chefs" is obnoxious and the "chef merch" is just embarrassing to look at. Don't even get me started on the cheesy tattoos (Chef4Life, etc).
Working in a kitchen is not a status symbol, it's hard work and if you don't enjoy doing the work (I do) it's a fucking nightmare. I'm just glad someone else paid for my experience and I didn't have to pay a dime.
Those little shits are in for a rude awakening after they graduate.
