/an/ I'm not sure what to do
My idiot friend got a kitten (6 weeks) despite living alone in a small apartment with an adult rescue cat and working 8 hour days. He hasn't kitten-proofed anything and the poor guy is teething so to make sure he doesn't fry himself by biting a live wire he's just got him in a kennel in the closet all day. The other cat predictably hates the kitten and seems very stressed out despite the minimal direct contact.
He lets the kitten fight and bite and play with his hand in the hour or so a day the kitten gets to interact with other living things so I'm worried it's gonna be human-aggressive, and to top it all off he's terrible about actually making an appointment with the vet; he had no idea if his original rescue was even spayed for months.
I wouldn't have a problem finding it another home but I doubt I can convince him to give it up and I can't act like I'm his parent and force him to care for the thing properly...
I just don't know what to do, if anything
Steal it. That's what I always do
>>2271619
>cats are shitty and aggressive
Only when they have shitty owners.

Autism.
Hi guys , so basically my dog always pees in the worst places , at the bar door , on the side walk , on peoples cars and when i take him to the park he doesn't pee at all.
There is already a guy that wants to fine me for it.
Should I tell them to fuck off?
You need to control your dog and hold the leash so it can't get to things, or train your dog better. It's not cool if your dog is constantly pissing on doors/cars/busy sidewalks.
>>2271534
Unless you went into a no dog area or your dog was off leash I don't think it will be a problem. You can't pick up piss. Still wouldn't recommend telling him to fuck off because he can call the cops anyway and waste everyone's time. Just explain your dog pisses in bad places. You can train a dog to shit and piss on command, but I never liked the idea of that too much
>>2271537
I was distracted for a little bit because I was talking to someone and the dog just did what he wanted to.
>tfw your shit sister is a BYB
>tfw "we need the money"
>tfw "if nobody bred them, they'd go extinct"
>not being sold with health certificates, both different types of labrador, both dogs came severely ill from other BYBs at 6 weeks, untrained and unsocialized
>tfw can't complain or even try to mention that what they're doing is illegal and immoral without having the entire family on my ass so I had to come here and be angry
feels bad, man. Real bad.
>>2271457
>illegal
Just call the cops then.
>>2271474
this
make sure to tell them that you want to be anonymous
>>2271474
Literally this. They have an anonymous number you can call instead of the normal police station number.
Can dogs have autism?
Yes they can, Mine runs in circles when he's mad and starts bumping into shit
>>2271089
That's not what autism is
no but they can definitely be retarded
I just got a plant of these obscenely spicy chilies, but I can't find a detailed guide about taking care of it. So far I removed all chilies and wrapped all branches with transparent opaque plastic bags, to create a greenhouse effect since it's almost winter, did I do good?
If you can give me some advice or recommend me any guides, even videos, it would help a lot. I've never taken care of a plant before.
>>2271042
where are you at OP?
if you're in north america its time to put them into dormancy. look into over wintering pepper plants
>>2271042
>transparent opaque
bro are they transparent or opaque?
is it possible you mean translucent?
>>2271851
Like this, translucent then I guess.
>>2271741
>over wintering pepper plants
Thanks for the tip, I'll check it out. I'm in central Europe by the way, so far yesterday I watered it up (a cup of water) in the morning around 8 and exposed the plant outside for 5-6 hours since it was very sunny (with a bit of cold wind) then it clouded up so I kept it inside a warm room the rest of the day/night till now (6 AM).
MY CAT WON'T STOP JUMPING ON TOP OF THE BIRD CAGE
The bird shouldn't even be in the same room as the cat.
>catfag is an idiot
colour me surprised.

>>2270586

I own chinese crested dogs and they unironically look a bit like that
That pitbull doesn't look healthy.
Take it to the vet.
3 yr hamster gushing blood, either from urethra or vagina. dying?
could be a treatable uti
Vet.
Is it a dark red or just brown?
I had her since she was a baby, in 2007.
She had a long story with me, and now cancer had spreaded out on her belly and she´s going to die. She´s already not eating, nor sleeping - vet says is because of pain.
We´re giving high doses of dipyrone to her, but she´s going to be put down by the vet on monday.

I´ve heard of all kind of miracle works against cancer, but so far none seem to be a viable option.
Has any vet here on /an/ heard of any real advance against this curse of a disease?
I know that rats can be cured of cancer.

sweet doggo OP, sorry for having to lose her
get plenty of pictures together before
Lost my dog this past week too anon, hold her tight and spill your heart to here since this will be your last chance to touch, feel and smell this pure animal ;_;
I went to my girlfriends house for Thanksgiving and her brother had the sweetest pitbull. Pic related. He was a rescue and was abused by his former owner. He never showed any aggression to me, any of the family members, or the other dogs (including chihuahuas that would bite his face if he ate thier food).
Today when we were getting ready to leave the pitbull got out of the house and was just standing in the yard. He wouldn't come back in when called so the mom goes out picks up his front legs and starts walking him in. This is going fine until the brother decides to get involved. He grabs him by the color and drags/picks him up by the color. Thats over 100lbs of force on this dogs throat. The dog panics and bites the brothers arm. The brother then literally starts strangling the dog and starts screaming how he's going to kill him. The dogs eyes turn red and be starts to stop moving. The brother releases his grip and the dog just stands there shaking.
The brother now wants to either kill him in the backyard and the mom is crying trying to talk him out of it. He starts screaming how its his dog and he can do what be wants while the mom is pleading with him to just take it to the humane Society to be euthanized.
What do you guys think? Should people like this be allowed to own any animals or do you think the response was warranted because he did bite him? I personally think the dog doesn't deserve it at all.
Typical shitbull snapping wih zero provocation. The brother is right to want to euthanzie it.
You know the only answer to this. Euthanize the brother, he's too aggressive

Would you fight bakc if you were drug by a rope around your neck?
I have some ornamental cymbidiums (among other orchids) and it appears one of the flowers has become fertilised. I'm googling the wrong terms so my search isn't yielding much. I've found how to grow the orchids from see but not how to tell when to remove the pod/capsule. I've normally removed the flower stems before this point but I left them outside all winter and spring while I'm renovating and let the flowers wilt off in time so haven't experienced this before.
How do I tell when it is 'ripe' enough to harvest the seeds?
Pic related, it's the only flower stem which isn't drying up. The rest of the flowers were knocked off by a builder
I thought orchids were a strictly inside flower.
>>2271005
So where do they live in the wild then?
>>2271003
the pods will dry out and eventually crack open releasing the dust like seeds. try bagging the pods with a small paper bag or ziploc or something. as far as actually getting them to grow, are you going to do TC?
is blackie gonna pull trough? he was still warm last time i check

cats are really cute but im clingy as fuck and rejection hurts my feelings so i don't think they're the pet for me
>>2269234
Cats in general are not known to be as outgoing as dogs, especially since they sleep most of the day. But I've seen cats that wont fucking leave you alone. I have one actually and if she isn't sleeping or eating she's vying for my attention. I have met one cat who was affection on crack; howled until you picked him up or he climbed up you, and would head butt and lick you ferociously. If someone else wandered too close he'd try to jump on that person and do the same to them. I consider that a behavior flaw though; that isn't desirable in any animal
anyone else like to pick up their cat and hug them? my cat lets me do it cause he knows I always give him treats after
