Animal law is not taken very seriously, possibly because most people are just unaware what they are doing is wrong. I proposed a logical scenario. One where op did not post the part of his story that justifies getting the police involved with a family member because it simply did not happen. If something illegal and inhumane had happened to warrant this, it would have been included in the green text they provided, batching about everything else that the sister was doing.
Of course I realize op doesn't have to include everything, but in this instance they would have, if nothing else then to give the story merit.
If you can't see this then maybe you should just stick to insults and unrealistic assumptions, your posts have nothing of value to add anyway.

...Anyway, I don't have the time to read everything, but I'll elaborate. Where I live, it's illegal to sell puppies without a health certificate, which she fully intends on doing. I'm also unclear as to whether she intends to sell them before 8 weeks; again, both dogs were acquired before 8 weeks and they were both very ill when they were purchased. If buying a puppy so sick it can barely move at 6 weeks is acceptable to her, I doubt her dogs will be much better off. Her husband also believes in "establishing dominance" over his animals. Before their other dog died, he'd latch onto the dogs face with his teeth while it literally screamed and howled in pain. (they're all cesar milan fans, unsurprisingly)
The fact that she's my family means nothing to me. She's been a selfish dick to me on multiple occasions, so I could care less. She's an animal abuser and a BYB and I'm mostly disgusted that I share genes with her.

Unfortunately, as other people have said, nobody takes this shit seriously. The only people who have their animals confiscated around here are extreme hoarders and people who inflict serious damage on their pets. I'd more than likely just have to deal with my family shitting on me for the rest of eternity.
I also can't call the aspca and say "Hey, I have no proof of anything I'm saying except one thing which only warrants either a verbal warning or a fine, but you gotta take my word for it and do something."

I'll also say that they actually tried to sue the people who sold them a sick 6 week old puppy (even though it was their fault, they wanted reimbursement for vet fees) but were told that the breeder could really only be fined at this point because it was their first offense or some fucking bull. I work at a vet clinic and a LOT of the puppies that come in were sold illegally and underage. Nobody does shit. The law is more like a suggestion than a rule.
